ndu_chucks: Eze NL Gburugburu, Onlytruth, put a stop to this mess. As the Eze, you should be able to overrule anyone whose actions is blatantly unhelpful to NL Igbos. Allow Okija to contest and let him lose gracefully and if he wins, he'll be the choice of the people.

They've put you between a rock and a hard place and you must rise above the useless egos of many on this thread. Even if its the last action you take as Eze, it'd be a wise one. Nwanne m, you have nothing to fear. PointB started out quite well, but he has allowed the small power he weilds to get in his head. Please arrest the urgly situation now! Okija_juju and the electoral body to find a way to resolve this issue as soon as possible to avoid any negative outcome. lota kwanu na igbo nwe ilo. infact, ilo erika and they are ready to gloat at our discord. please pointB and Okija should reach a compromise sooner than later.

I must thank "Chi" that we all made it to another election. I have also gone through the whole comments and I commend our able electoral commissioner PointB and his electoral officers, onye nwe anyi gbaa unu ume.

Also, "ukpo ekele" to our Eze ONLYTRUTH, you did so well. I never for once regretted losing to you in the last election, because you did so well all through your tenure, ihe gbasara ndi Igbo na amasi gi.

Some things:
1. I nominate Odumchi.
2. I believe Okija has the right to contest. No fellow human being can deem another's past behaviors as unforgivable on behalf of an entire group. I don't feel that way and I'm sure others don't as well.

Some conditions must be met, however:
A. Apologize to those you have offended
B. Make peace with those who were offended by his remarks. (whether they accept his offering or not is another issue)
C. Unlike others, he should be required to state his good intentions for brothers and sisters of Igboland.

I did not see Okija's past remarks so I can't hold them against him. If they true, however, then how unfortunate, but I do believe in people changing. I don't appreciate people holding on to old incidents and trying to make them current issues again. PointB did the same to me just last week or so. We're all adult men and women. It would be nice if we can act as such and construct rational solutions to whichever issues are plaguing us. If what he did is so unforgivable, then surely no one will vote for him, or at least he won't get the majority. Right?

Dede1: I had mixed feelings toward the recent turn of events with respect to electioneering process of Eze Ndigbo NL. Granted it is very innocuous exercise, it is very educative while uncovering the reasons Africans are a step behind the curve. It is very unfortunate to read that already closed nomination has been reopened. Rules, when adopted by a group of people, shall be followed to dot and respected even when such rule does not favor an individual.

I am mostly disappointed by the posturing of Mazi Okija_juju who seems to doubt his\her resolves on the issues of Eze Ndigbo NL. In one hand, he\she has been downright apologetic and in another instance he\she relapsed to manners that got him\her into the palaver in the first place. I honestly respect Okija_juju’s opinions on NL even when such opinionated endeavors go against mainstream.

There is no doubt forums provide arena for jovial jab of jokes but we must be very careful when there are contending interests as seen on NL where culture and tradition rooted in ethnicity appear to exert enormous pressure on the people.

Again, I am disappointed Eze Ndigbo NL electoral committee even contemplated the ideas of reopening the nomination process after it has been declared closed.
