9ja_I_hail: My brother kill that idiiot with golden silent, Imanuelle is a product of Okija Juju i wonder how someone with such mentality aspires to lead igbo.
That is why even at the to-be-held Election Reform conference, I will advocate further strengthening of the rules. We need to establish an acceptable code of conduct for Ezes and would be Ezes. That is where the Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland should evolve to - Code of Conduct and lasting lagacy. I know Ndi Igbo are up to the task, I will lend my time to this.

ifyalways: Btw, what are you peoples plans in the eventuality of a "tie" ?its good to be proactive.
If there is a tie. We will propose a 'Sudden Win' (a new variant of 'Sudden Death')
The first vote at the commencement of 'Sudden Win' is the 'Golden Vote' - a tie breaker!

Fair?

My brother you are welcome. Thanks for the vigilance, and effort. Ndi Igbo appreciate your contributions in the onerous task.

Kindly read the Election Update at previous page and see if you can adopt some of the measures I proposed for counting. Thanks again.

orufe: From what I read in the thread of last election. It ended like this:
Onlytruth 1
Andre Uweh 2
Odumchi 3
High Chief4.
Atleast more opportunities were given to members. They all had their plans rolled out.
But this year's own, hasn't gone well.
So the question is: What role did you play to help the process? Did your urge any of the other contestant to man up and accept their nominations? Did you ask them to submit their proposal/manifesto ? Did you amplify my voice, when I shouted it hoarse asking them to do so?

I even called for volunteer for inauguration rites for Eze. Till now no volunteer.

The thing is that, it is very easy to criticise people effort. Point is, this thing is done at best effort, perhaps you should take up some responsibility and see how easy it is. Thanks anyway.

ELECTION UPDATE - PRESS RELEASE
Let me reiterate for the purpose of emphasis, and to educate those who might otherwise be deceived.

The candidates in this election are:
OnlyTruth and Odumchi for Eze Ndi Igbo
And
Ogugua and Policewoman for Eze Nwayi

They are the ones YOUR VOTE should go to if you want to contribute to the progress and unity of Igbos on the forum.

Okija_juju was disqualified for creating disunity and confusion among Igbos as evident even in his posts here. All votes for him will count as wasted votes.

There are MARKER points within the thread that indicated the last counted voters/votes. The candidates voted for and the voter (poster) including the pages numbers (and other details)are captured in a spread sheet. Once a MARKER is placed, you edit vote at your own risk. Double (including multiple IDs) votes cast in favour of eligible candidates if detected will count as Zero. Cast your vote dutifully and pray for Igboland - real and virtual!

I enjoin other members of the Electoral Team to adopt this method (MARKER) for uniformity and reconciliation purpose.

Thank you all for listening (reading)

175: Can a delta ibo participate in dis election? PointB na u i dey ask.
Instead of you to cast your vote you dey ask yeye question. Which kain I answer you wan make I give you?

Well, I don't know who is Delta Igbo. Last time I checked the Niger Delta area includes Delta , Imo, Bayelsa, Rivers, Abia, and host of other states. People from these area and beyond have been casting their votes without asking rhetoric questions.

So if you are Igbo pls cast your vote, otherwise just observe proceeding.

One_Naira, welcome back.

Indeed you missed. Ndi Igbo waited, grew anxious, and we had to move on.

Your vote is noted, but it may be void, as you are not sure who you are voting for. Kindly refer to page 1.

ndu_chucks: What kind of counting is this? Are you counting the votes or the number of people who vote? abeg check your method na.

If Ifeanyi casts a vote for Odumchi and Policewoman in a post, that should count as 2 votes, one for each contestant named, not 1 vote.
I am just doing head count. Besides, like I said it's markers, it makes sense to me.

orufe: Sorry sir, you don't get my point. Someone with 1 or 2 nominations have already failed and will not come up to accept nominations when there are top 3 ahead of them. But as some of the top 3 candidates did not show up, you should have called them up to come forward than hastily go into an election.
Now what have the two candidates presented to Ndigbo that will make them vote for them. Or are you taking Ndigbo for a ride.
How did you come about this? Are you making up your own rule?

Was it not stated that acceptance of nomination add one more nomination to his vote? Did I not ask the nominees to accept their nomination and canvass for more? How else was I supposed to say it? Please let it rest. I sympathise with One_naira over his accident, believe me I do. And I hope he get well soon.

orufe: INEC Boss, you have not answered the question I asked you. Sir with all pleasure, you failed to give other contestants opportunity to come foward. Wrong.
In a department in any higher inst, if JAMB cut of mark was 200 and only 2 peole scored 2oo and above. the dept will automatically lowe the cut of mark to attract others. No dept will go into an accademic season with only two students. .
You have to cancel this election and give other candidates the opportunity to come forward and contest.
Oga I have answered your question. Unless you want me to keep repeating myself.
I asked severally that those interested in running for the election should accept their nomination regardless of the number of nominations they polled. From the word go. It is even in the Nomination Guideline. What more do you expect me to do? Go to their houses to beg them?

My guy, those who are serious about the leading Igbo, don't lurk in the corner to wait for perfect opportunity. The election would have gone ahead even if one candidate was on the poll.

Members of the Electoral Team and the ever vigilant Igbo community are urged to help us in looking into the background of suspicious voter for voiding. Igbos and their allis are the ones permitted to vote in this election. Those who have expressed bigotry against Igbos, and their interest should be recommended for voiding. Thank you

He is contesting as the incumbent. Besides, you heard him say he withdrew all his endorsement. Our electoral rule is also silent on 'endorsement.' Endorsement is only a symbol/show of harmony.

orufe: But the first 3 originally qualified did not come forward, you as the elec comm would have called other nominees outside the top 3 to come up. Did you do that. Dou you feel that those who got 1 or 2 nominations are not Igbo people?.
Second, why are you in a hurry to conclude the elections now that we are still in october. If some of the nominated members come back here next week and find out about this, do you think they will be happy?.
No one asked them not to accept their nomination. Accepting of nomination was the minimum required of every nominees regardless of the number of nominations. But the choose not to exercise that right, even when it guarantee them additional nomination. As per why we are holding the election in October, well that is what the cabinet decided, as a means of re-jigging. Ever heard the term - early election?

4. Nominees must at the very least accept their nomination, which shall also count as a self nomination.
