Who told you d finished product is not being or planned to be exported! Dangote to flourmills flour are supposed to be made of 10-50% made of cassava! And am sure you know they are exported to neighboring countries
How can you be so sure I know the bolded, when as I matter of fact this is news to me. Good news if true. |
Beaf: This is so true. Cassava makes very good quality ethanol.Yes my brother. Big up to cassava, the life saver. Hopefully, GEJ's administration will take up cassava to ethanol program, but somehow I hope they wouldn't (at least not anytime soon), I can't bear to see the price of garri shooting up to the skies, when every tuber available is channel to the more financially rewarding ethanol program. In anycase, cassava is the future, if and when our less endowed 'compatriots' finally achieve their agenda to deplete the dwindling oil reserve south of the Niger River! |
Greeting Igbos and Allies. Starting from 8.00 GMT tomorrow, we shall begin take a step further in line with the journey we embarked about 6 months ago. As you are aware last December, we took a historic step towards unifying and promoting our peculiar interest by electing an Eze. The important step led to the birth of Eze Ndi Igbo 1, of Nairaland - Onlytruth, ndu di n'eziokwu 1 of Igboland, Eze Ndigbo Nairaland. Within his first week in office, Eze OnlyTruth, assembled his cabinet and has since never looked back. Those who have followed development since would agree that his impact has been roundly felt in his this portfolio. However, the need for continuity, preservation, and to some extent legitimacy has informed the need for us to (re)write the rules. On this note, I enjoin my brethren, allies, and friends of Igbo to join us as we embark on Premier Nairaland Constitution Conference. Let us set the rule for our group, empower it, and use it to launch serious offensive against our politicians whose kleptomania, corruptions, and incompetence rob us and our allies our legitimate dividend of democracy and one Nigeria. To make this process more productive, the time table below shall guide us: We should be starting this process on Friday (8.00 GMT or thereabout?) Day 0. We sensitive members tomorrow and establish the ground rules for the constitution drafting. Day 1. Article 1: Name, and symbol(s) (including color) (pls bear in mind that we prefer name acceptable to our allies especially from SS) Day 2: Article 1 continued: Aims, Objectives, and Affiliation(s) of the Association Day 3: Article 2: Patrons, Power, Scope and Limitation of the Association Day 4: Article 3: Membership and Eligibility Day 5: Article 4: Officer, Cabinet Members and responsibilities Day 6: Article 5: Meetings and Quorom Day 7: Article 6: Terms of Office and Elections, Removal from office Day 8: Article 7: Hand-Over Process and Continuity Day 9 Article 8: Finance ? Day 10: Article 9: Amendment of Constitution Day 11: Article 10: Dissolution Day 12: Debate closes collation begins, Should you wish to assist in moderation and collation of the debates, kindly inform me on this thread. The plan is to keep the debate on this thread, however, we may create another thread if necessary. Time is of essence. The Pre Nairaland Constitution Conference debate is hereby now open. Shall we begin? |
I have no quarrel with Nigeria exporting Cassava of any quantity to China. But the question is: why are we not adding value to the cassava, and rather export the finished good. The solution to this problem is a big opportunity! |
okunoba: Why are all the ACN SW governors Muslims, makes me wonder if Tinubu is secretly trying to Islamize my region. No to a muslim/ muslim presidential ticket. Time for the East to rule., after that we can then start voting for the best candidate regardless of religion and ethnicity. This pretty sums it up for me. But rest assured the East will put their best foot forward! |
T9ksy: So why the kwashokor during the civil war?Very idiotic question! |
Ileke-IdI:Yes he is. There are lots of powerful politicians who cannot even imagine 'stooping low' to patronize pop-corn sellers at the malls, let alone buy the jolly good old nutritious roasted corn and the 'Ube' that accompanies it by the roadside. Those politicians are disconnected from the pulse of the people, and indeed from reality! Knowing your constituency, the way of life, and need can best be achieved by mingling with them. |
This is good news, but I must confess I am cautiously optimistic. In any case, I believe the abundant gas supply in Imo State and some other SE/SS states around, might have informed the decision for a strategic presence in Imo State. My cautious optimism is nonetheless based on the fact that most Oil and Gas projects seems (nowadays) connected to the amorphous Petroleum Industries Bill (PIB). I sincerely hope this is not the case. |
mekaboy: THE ISSUE IS NOT ABOUT BUYING CORN, THE QUESTION IS, WHY WILL A FULL GROWN NIGERIAN WOMAN BE SELLING CORN BY THE ROAD SIDE FOR A LIVING ? THAT WOMAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN WORKING SOMEWHERE. DO YOU KNOW THAT HER BUSINESS CAPITAL IS NOT MORE THAN N500?Let us respect and appreciate dignity in labour. Roasted corns has to be sold my someone, if the 'full grown' woman take it upon herself to sell corn obtained from her backyard garden, farm or from other sources to support her family, or aid her children education, she deserves commendation. Or would you rather she straps bomb vest on her body, grab an AK47, and join forces with Boko Haram? Let's be real, not everyone will get a full time job, not matter their level of education, even if unemployment is 1%. @topic, Rochas is a down to earth fellow; when he is not encouraging indigent pupils to go to school for free, he is constructing roads in rural areas, or asking civil servants to serve the people - not sit around in offices waiting for the next paycheck. And I see his gesture with the 'lowly' roasted corn seller as a show of support for the 'small businesses.' Give it to the man (Rochas) and the woman (Corn Seller); they are both heroes! |
Mark is saying what every Northern political and religious leader know, but refuse to admit. Perhaps making clearer to them is appropriate at this juncture: The Core North will not gain anything (politically) using Boko Haram to arm twist Nigeria; rather they will lose the benefits they derive from Nigeria. GEJ had said he will not negotiate with terrorists. So keeping up with the bombing campaign will certainly lead to war - sooner or later! |
Ejiné:lol, But come to think of it, shouldn't there be a cut-off age for writing WAEC? This Adekunle Chukwuma Ciroma dude should be disqualified from taking WAEC on age. (3a) If Ada is a girl, and Obi is a boy, who is Adaobi? And when is Obi ever going to be a man, and Ada a woman? Me think they are related to Adekunle Chukwuma Ciroma. Like parent like off-springs. ![]() |
Gbawe: Guy give it a rest. You have said your piece. Let it be and let others contribute and talk about the actual topic. Finito.Cool. |
Gbawe: Not needed because all contributors here are you? Can you or should you ever speak for everyone contributing here or is it your usual clannishness talking? Dude, don't derail the thread. There is nothing I said the poster I quoted did not say. In fact I reiterated what he said and then spoke to Onlytruth - not you. You are a little boy carrying bad-belle up and down. Grow up and stop following others around to derail threads with your palpable hatred for individuals. It is clear you are intolerant with how you think you can tell other where to post and what the length of their post must be.What rabid are civility are pontificating about? You jump into the thread yapping about how other Igbo thread is always submitted in a manner seeking to blame one ethnic groups for all the problems of others. What gives you the right to judge how others relate? When are you ever going to jump into yoruba centric thread and attack you own people. Now rather than address those issue, you are writing your usual loads of trips about someone following, and hating on you! Who the heck are you, that people should follow you around. No one asked you not to contribute to a thread, rather it would be nice if you make your comment without whining about 'civil war' and your usual tripe. Why can't you ever make you comment in neutral and civil fashion, without bringing baggage you hang on your neck from other threads? What is wrong with you? Guy, you don't ever get it, do? You are the child here, better you grow up! Needless to say, you derailed this thread with your first comment! Resident hypocrite! |
Gbawe: Precisley. I, likewise, avoid these sort of threads because, previously, it was always submitted in a manner seeking to blame one ethnic groups for all the problems of others. Usually and retrogressively, there will be an unhealthy dose of civil war talks that leads some of us to conclude that Nigeria must be cursed with how all us young men who took no part in any war ,or even the decision settling on it, cannot simply move on and forward.Guy, Why do you alway want to feel important, and draw unnecessary attention to your vain self? Can't you just make your comment without being sanctimonious, and whining about ethnicism and all that crap bolded above? Why do you have to bring your hatred, and your condescending attitude to this thread? Guy, nobody asked for your opinion, but if you must state it without your long sermons as it is obviously not needed here! By the way, why dont we see you hunting down your fellow bigoted tribesmen on this site, and offering them advice about civility, and decorum? It's only members of other ethnic groups that you are always quick to preach your nonsense tripes to - resident hypocrite! shame |
ondo_boi: GEJ must mad for allowing this to happen... oh brb!If GEJ was involved, trust me, they would never be caught let alone exposed. |
Everyone knows this is the truth. But the bigger question is what should we or the Northern Christian do about it? The security agents are clearly overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenge. This strategy though brutally calculating, will only succeed on the condition that: 1. Government enter a political dialogue? 2. Northern Christians don't fight back 3. 2015 election is rigged! Failure for any of these three things to happen will greatly affect their calculation. Let's not lose sight of the fact that the core north has 12 states, and in addition to their potentially winning the SW votes, they would still need to win the middle belt, and of course the 25% in fiercely christian SS/SE. This will not happen. The best option left for northern christian, though counter-intuitive, is to stand their ground and fight back. Turning tail and running makes it easier for the enemy. Those who cannot do this should leave, life is bigger than any political consideration. In the three years that it will takes to decimate the christian population, a civil war would have broken out, or northern economy will cease to exist completely, and strife wary pawns in the north will turn on their leader. GEJ should stay the course! No negotiation! Besides, even if the North recaptures power in 2015, what can they do with it apart from setting Nigeria further backward, and breeding more almajiris with federal handouts? |
Dudu_Negro: Yoruba Governors will intervene and provide alternatives for our young graduates posted to serve in volatile areas. Similarly, the Governors have no evacuation programme to rescue Yorubas caught in these danger zones. The individual is empowered to act proactively and use discretion for their own safety. In other words, SW Governors are not making any evacuation plans for Yoruba people caught in the cross fire (not even asking the to come home). Those who are able to travel back to yorubaland should do so, those who are unable to are on their own? Na wa o |
And who will believe murderers? If it wasn't Boko Haram why did the perpetrators have to shout 'Allah Akbar'? I think the Boko Haram guys are the one trying to create the diversion. |
Well now the question is how can we ensure APGA emerge a strong party nationally, given that fact that many before them - AC.N, ANPP, etc falter at this very challenge? And how can we ultimately guarantee that a national APGA can serve the East (old eastern region) in view of our very well documented individualism? We need to study the failure of AC.N, ANPP, and CPC failure to emerge as national party to ensure APGA doesn't fall into same situation. AC.N for instance lacks internal democracy. Such model cannot work in SE where equality, and fairness, an offshoot of our republican democracy, is the prevailing system? The CPC model, built on religion and fanaticism also has no place in Igboland. It is dead on arrival. The ANPP model is not different from the CPC model. It is almost dead, the same fate that will befall CPC! These three models cannot stand the test of time. That is why they are always seeking merger and acquisition lol. Now Eze, please what can you tell us about APGA model? Why do you think APGA model can work in SE? Considering that individuals, not the party, is what is keeping APGA afloat, especially in view of the current in-fighting. Secondly what benefit has APGA romance with PDP brought to the SE? And if Peter Obi cannot use his access to GEJ to influence major projects in the SE, how can we trust that he (or APGA) can do it centrally? |
Indeed Eze, the article is a very sad commentary of performance of Igbo public officers. What harm will it cause them or the county to use the office to channel federal resources to the development of SE Zone. Or is SE no longer part of Nigeria? However, I am not really going to pile the blame on PDP. PDP for all it flaws has appointed several Igbo men and women into influential positions, as you have rightly noted, the question is what have they done and what are they doing to help develop their zones - SE/SS? We need to rile and deride this fellows, until they shape up or ship out. Any Igbo public officer who will not lift a finger to help develop SE should not have our support whether s/he is in APGA, PDP, AC.N or CPC! |
jmaine: Oga PointB . . . .Dem talk say. . .Spoilt Bicycle wey dey for Corner of Street . . . .Na person still get am . . . .Wetin man go do . .them still be my pipu no matter whatMy guy, I understand and agree with you. You can't help it. Even mad people self get relatives. Tough though, but wetin man pickin go do? |
jmaine: https://i1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff390/ShaneDawg021/th_kdlaugh1.png . .lol my guyzBros, don't mistake those ACN thugs for your people, your real people are more intelligent and wiser than most of the buffons who attacked you unnecessarily and shamelessly in this thread. Gbawe and his Axis of evil hoped to win someone of your immense intelligence, determination and eloquence, over to his dark side to help him wage his numerous bigotry motivated campaign against GEJ/PDP, and other folks he hates passionately. Obviously, he couldn't achieve his ambition using superior logic. His resort to cheap blackmail though desperate and a new low, is not unexpected. It runs in the AC.N family like endless flow of water. Gbawe is a hypocrite, one of the worst you could ever imagine in Nairaland. Notice how he was unable to face the eerie similarity between his crude tactics, and what he accuse of us (myself, onlytruth, and co) we were trying to educate our sister of our aim on the Parliamentary thread. Gbawe has sunk deeper and in his hypocrisy, to the extent that he attacks someone for not engaging in tribalism, ethnicism and bigotry! What world have we awoken to? Shame on you Gbawe, and all those who conspired to call Jmaine uncharitable names! You are the worst of the very worst in this forum! Jmaine, I trust you will always evaluate your action, your motivation, and personality independently, in the light of this conspiracy to slight and undermine your non-ethnic bigotry stance. Whatever you decide, you always have my respect especially after the resolute way you expose the duplicity of the resident hypocrite - Gbawe, and his Axis of evil. But remember the forum need shining examples like you. Folks like you who choose to keep his head when others are losing their daily, are the gold standard. May you never rust! |
ogugua88: That was the definition I got from native Igbo speakers, including my parents. And I do make an effort. That's all we ask of you - an effort. Hopefully, you will be able to make some inputs when the Eze Ndi Igbo Nairaland Constitution drafting begins. |
Those who believe it quite easy to capture an ex-soldier turn terrorist alive, and without possible fatal bullet wound, in a gun-fight is very deluded! If they insist, let the try capturing Shekarau alive! @topic, Well done members of the JTF, I salute your bravery and dedication. I shall continue praying for your safety, as you continue to daily despatch the mofos to their hordes of vain virgins. |
Beaf: Aregbesola is little short of a basket case. That much became obvious to the keen observer within a few short months.I largely agree that the Tawun thugs touting rascally governor who can't get off being an ex-commissioner in Lagos state is indeed a disservice to the good people of Osun state. The saddest thing is that after spending a whooping one year to appoint commissioners (something he could very well have done in his first week), we are yet to see the direction of this AC.N clueless governor. Beaf, those photo evidence of 'massive' dry season construction is an eyesore, and it compete favorable with the several O-rubbish, and O-lies, Aregbesola has bombarded the expectant people of Osun state with. But trust the AC.N horde, led by Gbawe and his Axis of Evil to try twisting and reselling this colossal failure as success story. Tinubu must indeed have a serious hold on those mischievous folks. |
@Op/Topic, I think based on the underwhelming performance of the governor who took over a year to appoint commissioners, planned to construct road to Lagos state from osun, and laid a foundation stone for a 'chicken shed' in the name of multi million naira market, I forsee Osun state going to the strongest opposition party. Aregberascal is cluelessness personified. What were Osun citizens thinking? |
T9ksy: Probably 'cause you guys are just plain irritants!Again, the cheapness of yoruba blood comes to play again (I couldn't care if Gbawe pops an artery), when folks like you celebrate Igbos death in the North and leave your dead unsung like they don't matter at all. |
Na wa o. Plenty water don pass under bridge here. Jmaine, is indeed a legend. Nairaland tales will forever glorify the way and manner he stood his ground (alone) against the not so 'stealthily' tribal lord Gbawe and his Axis of Evil. Bro Jmaine, you are the man. I doff my hat for. You've earned more respect than Gbawe, the resident hypocrite can only 'continue' to dream of! |
@Ahj_hatred, The appropriate response to your sick post has been made by my bro Chyz*. I have no time for your idiocy! |
@Ahj_hatred, The appropriate response to your sick post has been made by my bro Chy*. I have no time for your idiocy! |
Dudu_Negro: . . if we leave North at least we know where to return. We dont come to East, we go to Yorubaland.Do you really expect an answer for the cheap crack influenced argument? Which Yoruba state/city can actually sustain Igbo in anyway comparative to Onitsha, Aba, Nnewi, Owerri, P/H? I can hear you shout 'Lagos'! Hehehe |
^^^ Keep promoting tribalism and bigotry. I am sure your partners (the Mods and Admin) will oblige you if only for the traffic. As for me, I feel at home in war and peace. |
