Preparing to Jump into lagoon afterJK has been voted.l hope the lagoon is not too cold
Funny thing is that, if we jump into the Lagoon and make nice and welcoming home out of it, some people will still be bitter and frustrated at our success and will come up with a thousand and one reasons why you are a guest in the Lagoon! So guy, just keep calm and Vote Jimi Agbaje, nothing dey happen!!

I don't think Igbo Lagosians are disrespectful to their host and don't mind online insults from both sides for example,Ndi Eze Ndigbo in Lagos who went to pay homage to the Oba was hailing him while he was threatening to kill them and their people and they never challenged him out of respect.
Can you imagine!

Our leaders went to his palace to pay homage to him; to show respect, yet he disrespected them and threatened our people with annihilation! Is that the 'sophistication' these people preach? This rascally behaviour from the oba is only expected from cavemen! It's very shameful!!

We don't want it; and if we must have it, give it to our PDP reps!

Those who APC choose were rejected by our people for their inadequacies!

APC can go to blazes with their dangle of poison chalice - aka Senate President! We've had it multiple times in the past, of what use was it then, of what use will it be to us now?!

in as much as i don't support what the oba said, i also do not support claiming right in another mans land.
In ibo land, your people forget one nigeria but use that slogan in lagos. its well. all i want is peace.
If you want peace, tell your Oba to quit hyperventilating like a demented fellow!! By the way, if anything happens I can assure you Oba Akiolu will be cooling off in some ICC cell, perhaps adjacent to Charles Taylor, only that he'll be doing so without the Oba title he had rubbished with his loquaciousness!

Rochas should tell Imolite why they should vote for him in the next election; all these cock and bull story about staying with ruling party is nonsense. If Imolites feel dissatisfied with his performance as I do, they should vote him out in a heartbeat!

Rochas did not live up to estimation; his haphazard welfarist policies was a waste of public fund which would have been better channeled into other areas like road construction, and other infrastructure. If someone comes with better ideas and program, Rochas should be sent to Aso Rock to as a special adviser to Buhari on Almajiri matters!

God bless you n ur generations to come @Op .
Any Igbo man that have business worth millions in lagos won't pray for show down btw igbos n Yoruba..Moderators please am not teaching u guys ur job but I think a peace promoting thread like this should be on the FP
Stop been sissy!

Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa, et al all have businesses worth billions of Naira in Lagos! If and when heaven falls, it will fall down on all of us. Let the man who threatened to drown Igbos in Lagoon make the move and let's see if it's easy to kill a man, let alone a proud, intelligent and resourceful race!

I'll leave Akiolu and other chest beating yoruba with the words of King Leonidas in 300: "The world will know that free men stood against a tyrant, that few stood against many, and that before this battle is over, even a god-king can bleed."
PoliticsRe: A Plea For Peace Between The Igbo & Yoruba by PointB:
EUROBOMBER:
Read through my initial write-up again.
According to your write-up, Igbo sins include:
1. I WILL ELEVATE EZE NDIGBO TO THE STATUS OF OBA OF LAGOS - JIMI AGBAJE.

2. IGBO WILL DETERMINE WHO RULES LAGOS- IFEANYI UBAH

3. LAGOS IS NO MAN'S LAND.- IFEANYI UBAH DURING TAN CAMPAIGN.

4. IGBO DEVELOPED AND CONTROL LAGOS- JIMI AGBAJE DURING GEJ CAMPAIGN IN AKWA IBOM

5. WE MUST PRODUCE THE NEXT DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAGOS- EZE NDIGBO
So according to you, Ifeanyi Uba and Jimi Agbaje both conspire to sin against yoruba on behalf of Igbo! And their aggressiveness against the 'peace loving' yoruba is summed up in those childish banter captured above? For these reasons every Igboman must bow and genuflect before every yorubaman for peace to reign?

I thought you were going to talk about Igbo cattle herders sacking a Yoruba community? Or Igbos killing scores of Yorubas in markets? Or Igbo raping and killing hundreds of Yoruba girls as they rampage a yoruba traditional festival.

But somehow, you aggregated a series of non-issue and elevate it to life-threatening, to the point of opening a thread to prostrate to every yoruba you meet online, and urging the rest of your kinsmen to follow suit! Guy, you are taking your new found love too far!

As a matter of fact, I'm going to repeat some of those phrase again! And I make bold to say,

"Lagos is No Man's Land"
"Igbos develop Lagos"
"Igbo will determine who will rule Lagos"

Now let any angry yoruba man go and jump into Lagos lagoon; Igbo are not cowed nor do they cower! Arrant nonsense!!

Nice one EUROBOMBER...nice one indeed.

AgentMS have said it all the 96 comment........PDP have ensured that the peaceful environment that Igbos enjoy in Lagos and SW is now threatened by the kind of divisive politics they are good at..

I just hope that at the end of the elections.....wise counsel will prevail.

Everybody need peace to prosper....and I only laugh at the small kid shouting up and down here telling Igbos to take up arms against Yorubas in Lagos......there are 2nd generations of Igbos who don't know anywhere as home but Lagos...#FOODFORTHOUGHT
Good for them!

I hope they remind the Oba that, perhaps that will help cure him of foolish in manner of speaking!

It will not stop some of us from trying our very best to ask for peace. We will bend low to do it and leave the rest to God.
What crime have you personally committed against yoruba in Lagos that you seek peace for?
PoliticsRe: A Plea For Peace Between The Igbo & Yoruba by PointB: 10:27am On Apr 07, 2015
@op,

Appeasement as a political tool doesn't always work, you only embolden the aggressor!

I think Lagosian should go to the poll on April 11, and vote according to their conscience and sentiments! Let the one with the most vote be declare the winner.

Lagos is part and parcel of Nigeria, if anyone (Igbo, yoruba, hausa, etc) breaks the law of the land, let him be held accountable for it. A little banter here and there about status of Lagos only offend the dredge of the bitter, those intrinsically inferior in intellect and emotions!

If some Igbos call Lagos no man's land, some yoruba reserves the right to name Portharcourt, Onitsha, Enugu in similar fashion as they wish! Such little banter have never been known to hurt even a fly.

Now if anyone want to take it personal to the point of issuing threat, let such persons or groups of person know that we only know the start, but we can't tell the end. When a wood insect gathers tree, on it's head it carries it! As long as Lagos exist as part of larger Nigeria which includes Igbo area, Igbos will live, do business in Lagos and exchange friendly banter with the people of the city as they deemed fit!

If anyone feel slighted by the presence of Igbos in their midst they could go to court to seek redress. Threatening Igbos or Igbo interest will not cut it. And if some people think they are more Lagosian than others and wish to burn the city, I'm sure they will find willing collaborators from either sides!

When we come out to vote on Saturday April 11, many of us will vote for Ambode for whatever reason, and many of us will vote for Jimi Agbaje for whatever reason, and it wont be because some obscure Oba threatened us with empty curses from some obscure palace!

Are you claiming you have not seen? Be sincere for once and write the truth. It is true that a lot remains undone but he did 800km in 4 years which means if PDP did 2400 in their 12 years we would have had about 3200km rural paved roads which makes roughly 1/3rd of the roads.
Well Jonathan also did 25,000 kilometer of road across Nigeria.

I haven't seen or measured all of those road, likewise this claim of your for Rochas. If indeed he did those road, imagine how much he would have achieved if he hadn't gone for the bogus, blackhole, welfarist free education con!

I do travel to Imo State alot of time, and judging from what I see, I believe the progress is too infinitesimal to beat one's chest about! Imo State doesn't need Rochas handouts, he should create policy that attracts industries!

The state is rich in oil, and have very huge gas reserve? Is Rochas looking to bring an LNG project to Imo? What big budget program has he planned for Imo state? Or is he campaigning on some pedestrian idea like keeping Imo State with ruling party, in which case I'll ask him why didn't he join the ruling party in the last regime when he ported to APC?
PoliticsRe: The Orator by PointB: 1:37pm On Apr 04, 2015
Abagworo:
He has created more than 800km access roads in rural areas in less than 4 years. Which other State Government has done that? He has built more 300 schools in 4 years. Almost completing the dualization of highway from Owerri to Orlu. The federal government did nothing to complement Okorochas good efforts. Under Buhari Imo State shall receive their deserved fair share of federal presence.
I'm very sure he created them in the sky. But I believe Imo people know more than I do, and would return him if they think he's done well. But if he (as I hope) falls victim of the prevailing wind of 'change', then I'll say good riddance to bad rubbish! I don't like welfarist policies, it rubs the nation of developmental funds!

You people should rally around him and give him your support because it is in your best interest. With his new found power, he can bring greater things to Imo - pure and simple.
We know where our interest lies and how best to pursue it; you should be thinking of how to improve the Almajiri school Jonathan build for your people. While those schools are a start, embracing modern education is the best course of action for the North, else few years down the lines, those half-baked product will end up cannon fodder for the next Islamic sect you are wont to produce! And while you are at it, ensure that the near eradicated polio, does not sneak back again under the watch of our semi-illiterate president!

Leave Imolites to decide their fate!

Abagworo:
Sometimes I do wonder if support for Jonathan turns a sane man evil. Anybody against Okorocha, just make a thorough observation and alas he/she is a Jonathanian. What Okorocha did with little Imo State money in just 4 years is unbelievable. That is in addition to free education at all levels. They have lied and even gone as far as destroying roads, importing refuse and demolish houses just tp prove that what Okorocha has done is impossible with limited funds. They even went on to lie that he has borrowed beyond limit all to demystify the gifted man.

We Imolites saw PDP rule for 12 years and they did not achieve 1/10th of what this great Igbo son did in 4 years.
Imo State had over 90% male and emale literacy? Pray, what motivation do they need to go to school? Wouldn't it have made sense to channel the money used in the 'bogus' free education, to improving the quality of education itself.

And how about creating access road to various communities scattered within Imo State (similar to what was done in Anambra). That in itself would have improved agriculture to some extent! Okorocha's welfarist policy and the extent to which it improve the life of Imo People is what will be determined on April 11.

If the people feels he's done well, I'm sure they'll vote for him! Otherwise, he'll be rejected! Many of you clowns just shout Jonathanian here and there like ignorant muses, you forget conveniently that all politics is local.

Keep up with your sentiments and see if that wins you vote!
PoliticsRe: The Orator by PointB: 1:08pm On Apr 04, 2015

The tribalist in his region have already disown him and are too shortsighted to see the big picture. Many of the political leaders down there do not really see Okorocha as one of them primarily because he essentially grew up in the North and doesn't share their separatist and tribalist ideals.

Lets hope the youths will do the right thing on the 11th. Okorocha will be the most powerful Igbo politician in the country, in the coming dispensation and ndi'igbo should rally around the man.
Even if Rochas is voted out, how does that stop him from contesting for Presidency if he so desired? Did Obasanjo and Buhari contest as immediate past Governors? If Rochas hasn't created a lagacy in four year, eight year wont be enough! If he's create one, then leaving when the ovation is high more than anything cements his place in history, and etches his name in the memory of Nigerians!

But on 11th April, when he stand before the people, let them judge him on the measure of his promises and delivery! If found wanting, he should be booted out without sentiments!
