This is a very emotional post for me, heard of a friend's death and it's taken the whole of my mood since morning. She was someone who referenced God so much and young, cool and upright. As sad as I am at the moment I believe God took her away to secure her from the world's evil. We usually cry over the loss of someone we know but sometimes God let's such thing happen for his own personal reason. All I can say is that continue to rest in God's Bossom "a lady after God's own heart". Till we meet again! embarassed
God don’t take anyone, people just die. We get old, we get attacked by diseases, we get into accidents, we just die.

For some time now, some fellows who think they can make some of us they call 'sheeple' to stop sowing seeds or giving have been putting up videos online of pastors asking people in congregation to sow seeds, first i remember was that of Funke Adejumo, and then Biodun Fatoyinbo.

Many more examples i can give later. but no time for now
It's not surprising to hear that from the same set of people that defended MMM with their lives.

Christianity Etc"Judgement Is Coming On You Soon" Rev. Yomi Kasali Comes For Rev. Funke Adejumo by ponziponzi(op):
"Judgement is coming on you soon" clergyman Reverend Yomi Kasali comes for Reverend Funke Adejumo over her frequent requests for seeds from church members

Lagos pastor, Yomi Kasali, says judgement is coming on popular clergywoman, Funke Felix-Adejumo, over her requests for ''seeds'' from members of her church. The clergywoman has been under fire on social media in recent times after videos of her asking church members to give as much as $1000 as seeds for different reasons, surfaced online.

While preaching in his church recently, Reverend Kasali reacted to Adejumo's videos. He said she was fleecing members of their money and that judgment is coming on her very soon.

''Christians no longer have consciences. Preachers have a dead conscience. I watched the video of a preacher fleecing members, asking for $1000 and I said does this woman have a conscience? You know you are lying. The bible says speaking lies in hypocrisy and have their consciences seared. She knows what I am talking about. If she has an ear, let her hear, Judgement is coming on her very soon''

I've been living in the USA for the past 7 years. I still come to naija every year during the festive seasons.

Fact is Nigeria is not that bad. Only that Nigerian citizens are very greedy and are never satisfied. If you go to countries like Zimbabwe, Uganda, Tanzania, Bangladesh, India, phillipines , the favelas of brazil etc , you'll see people living in squalor and abject poverty. So why complain when you're in a better situation? You complain of boko haram its worse with the Isis and Taliban of Pakistan and Afghanistan. You complain of kidnapping its worse with the pirates and marauders of somalia. You complain of poor electricity it's worse in countries like Senegal and Mozambique. You complain of crime its worse in countries like south Africa.
Una wahala too much infact wetin una want sef.

Instead of you to think of ways to develop your country you're here complaining . The same complain you dey complain for 1975 na still the same complaint in 2018. No new complaint other than bad governance , light, water , no money etc.

Your government have tried their best. They can't kill themselves. Not even Buhari. At least you go pity his old age.

op even christ said yes we should tithe,so i dont think your few point can convince me that tithing is wrong
Yea, if you have a garden, you can give your tithe from it.
BTW, there are laid down rules on how to give tithe, if you want to give your tithe you will have to follow the rule strictly. Even the people practicing Judaism, from where the Christians borrow tithing, don’t give tithes anymore cause it’s not possible to give it as the rule says.

A US-owned local radio station has been shut down for insulting women in Rwanda, authorities say.

Foreign AffairsEthiopia Is Now Africa's Fastest Growing Economy -CNN by ponziponzi(op): 3:54pm On Apr 26, 2018
Ethiopia, Africa's second most populated country, is forecast to be the fastest growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa this year, according to new data from the IMF.

Ethiopia's economy is predicted to grow by 8.5% this year. The figures signal continued economic expansion following a long period of impressive growth. In the last decade, Ethiopia has averaged around 10% economic growth, according to the IMF.
To boost the economy, the country is pursuing a number of large-scale infrastructure projects, including the Grand Renaissance Dam and a railway network.

"(Ethiopia) has had a very high growth rate and I think that's a result in large part of a very concentrated effort by the government to boost industrial production and manufacturing," said Vijaya Ramachandran, an economist at the American think tank Center for Global Development (CGD).
Ramachandran, along with three academics, released a report suggesting Ethiopia can follow in China's footsteps, and become a destination for low-wage manufacturing jobs.
However, despite sustained economic growth, in the past few years Ethiopia has experienced increasing unrest from Oromo groups in the Oromiya region. According to human rights groups, the government has suppressed basic rights and freedoms.
New Prime Minister Abiye Ahmed was sworn at the beginning of April, signaling an intent to ease tensions.

Economic growth
Ivory Coast is expected to be the second fastest growing economy in the region at 7.4%. Rwanda's estimated economic growth is 7.2%, and the West African country Senegal is projected to have 7% growth.
The data reveals that Ghana, which was previously forecast as the fastest growing economy in Sub-Saharan Africa in October 2017, at 8.9%, slowed in its predicted growth to 6.4%. Last year, a reported surge in oil and gas production helped propel the country's economy.

Nigeria, Africa's largest economy, is predicted to grow by 2.1%, an increase from 1.9% forecast in October 2017.
"They've updated it to 2.1%. However, they have emphasized the risks. The falling commodity prices and imbalances that are to arise because of the elections," Bismarck Rewane, a Nigerian economist, told CNN.

South Africa's predicted growth stands at 1.5%.
Long term, according to a report from the World Bank in 2016, the proportion of the African population in extreme poverty has declined, but the overall number has increased as the continent's population expands.
Growth across the whole region is forecast to average 3.4%, below the total world growth figure of 3.9%.
