Brethren in the hustle. I think I will need your help to solve this lady matter. Been thinking I would solve it on my own without incurring the wrath of brethren but she has proved me wrong. I picked her and her man friend from Ajah to The Place, Lekki, which will be exactly 2 weeks this Saturday. On getting to Phase 1,trip failed. It brought 500 on Bolt. I complained to them that it is a glitch. They accepted and said they will transfer the money to me when reviewing is done.i managed to get 1k from. After review, price was 1900.
I called her and she confirmed the review too. O ya transfer the rest, she asked me to send my account details. Since then Na story upon story. Now she has blocked my line. I tried to call with another line, it went tru. But she's been busying my call

Guys please, I implored you people in one of my posts to avoid arguments with anybody especially anybody on heat. Its that time of the month again. Reasoning is on vacation now and emotions is running riot. Please and please, lets stay focused on motivation.

The issue I want to discuss today is this very fraudulent and criminal company called Tanxify abi Taxify.

I was around Festac town yesterday to eat Nkwobi at my favourite joint and I decided to book a trip to walter Carrington. It was fake of course but I just wanted to check the price because my rider 4 days ago was telling me how taxify is far cheaper than Uber.

Lo and behold, the picture below is what I saw! 1100-1400. What nonsense? Last last, the money will end at 1200 because Uche is a criminal master of human psychology. I checked the distance on google maps and saw that it will take me 38 minutes of my life and 17 kilometres to get there! Here comes the real headache.

Ride Price = 1,200 naira

Taxify Commission = 240 naira

Fuel Estimate to VI (At least 2 litres on corrolla and 3 litres on Camry) = 300 or 450 naira depending

Calls to and fro to rider prior pickup = 50 naira

Data for Bolt and Google Maps = 100 naira

Therefore;

240 + 300 + 50 + 100 = 740

1200 - 740 = 460 naira profit.

So as a driver, aak yourself if its really worth it. You see let me be brutally honest with you. The only reason it seems as if you are making money from this nonsense is because of turn over. Turn over as in if you calculate the gains from all these small small profits, it seems as if you are getting something! But what is the true reality?

CAR WEAKENS AND DIES FASTER. Mind you that I didn't factor wear and tear to engine in the calculations above. I didnt factor in other things like scratch from Keke or Danfo, rude riders, excess traffic, Fuel consumption with AC in Terrible Lagos traffic now!

What is my point then?

Taxify is now fixing there ride prices again! If you must continue with these nonsense business, please stick with UBER. At least, it becomes 3% commission after 20 trips. How I wish Uber can bring down there initial Commission on all trips to 20% instead of 25%. That will be the end of taxify as we know it!
Bolt is cheap compare to uber, that's why they have all kind of riders. A rider even confess this to me yesterday, took her on a trip on surge of 1.6 and get to destination to see 1100, but she was kind enough and said she saw estimation of 2500 and that exactly what she will pay.

In bid to eulogise rider and not just dia negative side always, another lady surprised me, got to pick up point and his friend is already dia to pick her, so she gave me 1k to hold body grin don't ask me if I reject it.

Lastma and vio officials get killed while doing their job because many Lagos drivers are heartless, have mental disorder, i will say this confidently, no right and normal human will kill another fellow human just because he is doing his/her duties.
My
Many Lagosians are traffic law breakers, they know the fine they will pay when caught, because of their inability to obey rules, when caught, they do every thing possible to escape even if they have to kill another human.

We blame govt for all ills of our society but many ills in our society are all done by private individuals. funny how this set of people love to criticize govt but break eveery simple rules that can make society run peacefully.
Do you really think Lagos drivers r heartless and mentally not sound? Or is just Newton 3rd laws acting on everyone, including you. When you say government and private individuals, that force me to think who is the government? For real let's get of pettiness, this ain't my opinion or me trying to make you b objective in your reasoning, since I've observed your work has consumed you, your bile is full of hate and you think its war b/w drivers and government agency.

How many lastma officer(s) have been killed by uber drivers? Can you tag the lastma officer that committed suicide at Adebowale house dis month on motorist? If you do your findings well, you will learn uber drivers r d most friendly to traffic/motorist agency, but its so suck when you hear that word "Uber ni, hold em well" kilode! What if its uber? Do they carry two head to the world? An officer will b loose on other motorist, but your phone becomes part of requirment that needs to b check before passing judgement to u, that's unfair.

Almost all uber drivers have complete papers, yet we r exposed to traffic police, lasma, vio, CBD, local government touts. The only force and paramilitary that doesn't disturb r Road safety and Police, they r friendly to uber drivers.

I think the average problem with Lastma is they are egocentric because they feel like ppl look down on them, which is what you are trying to feed me wit Sunday, but I've grown above what you think of me cos I'm d one wearing d shoes, so ur shot and what u think won't foot my bills. I know too many lastma officers that have practically use dia salary for different cooperatives, so if they r not callously apprehending motorist they can't go back home not to talk of survival. it is a pitiable disma pisma, it is regrettably lugubrious that you are not seeing all these, but you r trying to come into equity with an unclean hands, the things you are seeing are heckney, Lasdri, heartless and mentally drained drivers. Change your view, u may see clearer.

Need to know I don't take anything to heart, you came petty and got dosage of it, but I'm over that, all we should seek for is a fair and just society where everyone can live in one harmony. I don't need to leave my house in the morning and see your ppl as enemy and u don't have to see me same way. Hope your heart find light and understand we r all just trying to get by. Kudos to the VIO and Lastma officers still keeping it real and working endlessly for a better Lagos.

Sick and tired of how men talk to women on this thread whether they are right or wrong. You would NEVER talk to each other in such derogatory terms. The fact that no one has said anything about it is appalling. And it's not just here, it's everywhere on this forum. Y'all can have this thread and maybe even this forum.

Even when talking to each other y'all are quick to say things like "it must have been a woman". Frankly I'm tired of it. I couldn't give a hoot about sexy whatever he/she calls herself. It's the TYPE of insults that get to me. Y'all don't call each other gigolos, prostitutes or sons of bitches. The minute there is an argument with a "female", insults turn sexual, or they are in their period or they are simply naggy/irrational.
I apologise for that madam, its not just in this forum, but the world at large... Women r special being and we must learn to respect that and admit the fact that we r not wired the same way, there is nothing that disgust me than when I see a married woman washing her husband car. I won't tell you I can't b push to break when it comes to women matters, but I am trying to be a better person, but inbtw that I have seen situations, what do you make of a woman that won't allow her husband leave for work on Monday morning and before you know, she grabbed his shirt grin that's the man have to iron another shirt in dis time and season of morning rush grin it is well.

On his/her matter, like I said I'm seeing bobrisky in him/her, but let's assume she is a female. If she is so incline about seeing a transport system where everything work and use USA as a standard then let her address issues begging for answers

1. What's the role of agbero in a Mega City
2. Why will lasma apprehend a car when d passenger beside the driver refuse to use sit belt (In a developed nation, they hold the passenger responsible not the driver)
3. Lastma have been warn severely to stop jumping into people's car, if d driver refuse to oblige, take the car number and that's all, yet! You see them displaying all manners of madness with drivers on the road
4. If Lastma apprehends one and you get to dia office, b4 you say jack, they have toss you key to one tout, vulcanizer will less your tire immediately... After settling with Lastma, you still have to beg vulcanizer with 1/2k and tout with 500 another 500 for the people at the gate and she is saying uber drivers don't like doing the right thing.
5. Bolt drivers have been victimise in different ways, from riders not paying to all many of vices and car theft, what is d government doing to put life and security in check? since that is the first paramout thing in any success driver society

All these may sound like story to her, but if she careless about the transport system orderliness that seems to be her hobby, but only hackney permit, then I see another heartless and greedy fellow that only cares about the gain in it for her.

Honestly my brother... I'm seriously dazed with most comment I read here. Well, I dont blame them, Baba Fela already said it "my people too dey fear".

BTW,

Last night was a lucky day for me if I must say.
Picked a white girl on the street where cool FM operates.
Babe handed over her phone to me to talking with the person.
Dude on the sound sounding authoritative, asking where exactly we where... Long story story short. I took her to one Jonny something, forgotten the last name close to Eko hotels VI, this was around 10:45pm.
Babe asked md to wait, left my engine running with the AC on d very low button.
Entered a convo with the white girl, shes is a Morocian and d dude on the phone a Nigerian, chia!!! My spirit didnt tell me it's somebody with great power. Menh...this our work enh, you will meet people you never thought you would ever meet in your entire life.

Someone said there other day he had Genevieve on his car and people called him bluff. Guys lets be professional and be friendly as we can in our dealers because you never can who you would be picking up the nexf minute.

Las las, after about 10min, i'd to switch of my engine because I hate keeping my engine on in idle for too long.

Babe called dude again and I talked with him again on the phone addressing him as "bro"... Dude called again after about 2min and asked babe to hand over phone to me.

Dude: ...dont address someone on the phone as "bro..." Thats was the line I heared clearly. I didnt want to say so.ething I would regret later I just simply handed phone over to the babe as he was yet speaking. Looking behind, there was a siren escort babe said that's him, follow them...

...finaly, it was the President's son, he was inside a Rose Royce. Drove inside his compound there in VI, dropped babe move ahead.
Don't mind them jhoor, they have a way of belittling someone here, I picked Genevieve Obieke is Genevieve not Genevieve again? grin

no reasonable questions have been thrown at me except how do you know uber drivers? i find the question hilarious because it makes no sense

everyday, uber drivers cars are been impounded by different agencies in lagos state, so how did the respective agencies get these drivers and their cars?

Mr, nobody cares if Uber drivers have complete particulars or not, the main issue is uber deceit not to have a license to operate in the state. Uber has no intention of doing the right thing, even though they knoww the law, they keep selling stories instead of doing the right thing.

as i have written, we can argue from now till next year, the law is the law, before you can operate a taxis service, you must have permit and license to operate,

even in NYC city, Uber has a license to operate and uber drivers get special license from the TLC (Taxi and Limousine Commission) to drive with Uber.

as someone wrote that i am part of the banana republic, why is uber obeying the law in NYc but cant obey the law in lagos state

Lasly, when you get your hackney permit be ready to change your plate to red.
I find your answer funny too, I've been driving for more than a year, I drive pass 2 VIO's station everyday, yet I've not been impounded or seen any driver go thro such... Its either you don't know what you r saying or the vio officers you recruited do not know dia duties. You have failed to answer why ask hackney permit from a blue plate number, but keep saying b ready to change to red, please will heaven fall if a plate number is change to red or the car will consume more fuel? Cos I can't comprehend your logics.

Pope “ma pa mi now”
The self righteous mumu is just disgusting, how much is the permit? I don't think is what drivers can't afford. There is a diffrence between doing the right thing and trying to do the right thing, what he/she is doing is just trying to do the right thing in a shamble manner.

when you start using red plate you will know the reality of being a commercial driver which you are.

we can as well go back and forth, abuse each other, it wont change the law nor change lagos state policies, the law is there for every one to read and see, it is public, any right and smart person can easily understand that.

Have a nice day, uber slave, and dont come bragging about the hell of money you have made on the platform and how you can feed me. grin
Silly ass dumbo, what is wrong with being a commercial driver? Who cares? Guess its bad, yet! Your colleagues get off work and can't feed on the meagre salary to hop behind danfo wheels, putting different shades of identification to break traffic rules... Like I told you, I don't find pleasure in material stuffs, I just live and try to do that which is right. You came in here as one of us, I fish you out, if you have problem with that, then your problem will b forever. Won't stoop low over the internet justifying who has more money or living a better life than the other, that's all spam. If you call me Uber slave? Uber must have been the one feeding me since inception, I must have made my first million using Uber #Odeson! Like we don't see u guys on the road, give me your name again, I need to check forbes.
