Babadee1900: I don’t answer them. Since you are not the one driving you can’t tell me on which lane to drive on.
One man last year, I picked him from Admiralty heading towards Cooperative villa Badore, the moment I joined Lekki-Epe exp from freedom way, Baba started saying join this lane join that lane. Stay on the left, why are you in the middle. You are too slow.
I got tired of his talk. Before I gave him a piece of my mind I turned off the radio first so that he can me hear me very well because I don they vex already.
I said, Sir I am the one driving, I am in control here, I know when to switch lanes and when to drive fast. You are sitting at the back so you don’t have access to the information I currently have driving this car. There are three different mirrors that’s guiding my decision on when to go left or right.
The man said but ‘but I drive too’.
Told him yes I know you do sir, more reason why you should understand that there’s little you can do when you are not the one driving.
Baba just kept quiet.
....and it was on a Sunday morning, road was free, I just balance well for my seat come begin they drive am like I they race track. I they look am from the rear mirror, he just low key they read newspaper.
When we got to Cooperative villa, he said don’t end the trip, give me 5 minutes I’ll be out so we can proceed to Ikoyi church of assumption.
He came out in time. When he entered he said pls can you go faster this time around I’m running late for service.
Me that I’ve been looking for opportunity to fire my car as I don they get bored of this slow driving. I use the man refresh my skills Lol, one tin I observe that his complain got to u some how and u have to swing mood, thats one thing about driving, you just want to go drop off and feel free. This same feeling happens to me when I'm on card trip, as much as I don't reject any, I know my swing is different when I'm driving on cash or card. |

pharod: Drivers are made to go for training. But any uncouth human being with a false sense of entitlement can download the app and request. But in the midst of all those ignorant people, there are a few cultured and well mannered people.
I once picked up a guy at the airport heading to Obanikoro to pick his wife and from there to Magboro on 3.1 surge... The guy was a perfect gentleman but his wife was the exact opposite but I like the way he always tried to correct her. At a time he told her plainly that, "You don't tell a man how to drive his car. How many times have you gone to the cockpit and start shouting at the pilot because of ANY issue at all? This driver can decide to stop us anywhere and end the trip, turn and go home, what will you do then? . And the time was 10pm then. The woman immediately became friendly, and even tipped me afterwards. I don't know if it's just Nigerians but for some reason I am yet to understand, some people are looking for who to control even if it's for a few minutes.. The husband is filled with wisdom to b able to handle his wife with easy words. Once riders keep telling me, join dis lane, join that lane, I don't stress myself to switch lane again on my discretion, I just let him or her take the wheel, I won't use my discretion again. I noticed, at a point they get tired of d whole tin. |

Felicity0001: Moat of these girls can be so annoying.

Rider: I can't see still, you map is supposed to bring you to No 31 na aee you sure you're here? Me: No number on your req just your street name or isn't it shoyinka street? Yes she affirmed. Rider: ok ask someone of No31 or ahould I cancel?
Me in my mind I just smile, b like dis one no mnow say her 5min grace don ellaps abi she think say na bolt?.
I started my engine, asked some guys around even though I hate doing that. They directed me. Turned and on my hazard light than called her this time.
She hugged her bf then opens the back door and entered.
Rider: you just arrived self and you said you've been here.
Me: what do you mean? Rider:...still talking Me: do you want to continue on this ride? Rider: I should cancel? Me: i wouldnt mind: Rider: then you'll give me my N400
At this time her bf then came in, Whats happening any issue? Gf: ahe said he wants to cancel, but he will give me my N400.
As they where discussing me don cancel already. Me: you can come down now, I just canceled.
The bf resounded it to her, he has cancel.
They closed my door I just zoomed off.
I no get time for bad riders that will end up rating me low at all it better I cancel.

ndubuis: Coronavirus is finally here. Our government have succeeded in their wish to see this disease come in full swimg. One case from UK and several other suspected cases that are exhibiting symptoms similar to this deadly virus. This is no fake News, mind you.
I downed tools on uber a week ago, having embarked on my 2019 annual leave because I needed to rest. Plan working on uber tomorrow to avoid boredom and make a few more quid since I still have five weeks to go before I go back to work. As it is now, I have to suspend that plan of doing uber because of Coronavirus.
If you are still courageous enough to be on the pedal, you have to be extra careful out there. Take all necessary precautions. Island is where these people usually come to from oversees. Be extra careful and avoid physical contacts with riders, especially these ones with funny and disjointed accents, They may just have arrived from a coronavirus infested country. A stitch in time, saves nine. Aal izz well boss, I'll still advice u to take ur chances, but b very mindful and take necessary precautions. |

These our riders r wonderful people to say d least... At about 4pm, I found myself ard Awolowo Rd, Ikoyi. So, I set destination trip to Ogba cos I knew with such trip daily target is not negotiable. Request beeped on a surge of 2.4, dat kind of request you'll b so quick to call d rider and fortunately for me, she's going to Ogba as I got to pick up destination, I meet 2 friends or sisters... The one that booked the ride is going to lekki phase 1, while the other is Ogba. So, I heard this chat b/w them as they open the door "Oya! Enter, let me cancel the trip and book my own", I almost jump from the drive sit to hit the phone off her hand, like jack b4 she hit d cancel tab ha! Ma'am don't do that oo, if u cancel the trip, I won't b on dis trip again. She try to argue with me abt being able to book more ride from one app, she have to go home too ard lekki and they only have a app, her friend does not have bolt. I have to school them on one trip per app and how they have to find way to download another app on her friend phone, the process was taking to long and I have to do what I barely do today, bought out my phone and book for her. Surge can make one do the unthinkable las las |

This one na case of "Patient dog o..."
Meanwhile, I got into LASTMA wahala today again. My offence? I was holding my phone (for traffic o). The guy said he wanted take me to meet the others. I remembered the driver that had his car impounded, na so I say lai lai o, make we settle am here. 2K later, I was free to go. Hungry people everywhere... Boss no gesture of offence, holding ur phone is not enough reason for a lasma office to apprehend u, it's either he was able to get ur on camera holding d phone, anything outside dat, is not a case. On Friday I was making a call while driving, more like crusing, cos I know very well, I'm doing wrong and at the same time watching out for them, as I approach them, one try to snap me, but I quickly drop d phone and tell him to snap. |

izzou: I understand that as humans,we can be lenient and compassionate sometimes, but I think some of you are allowing that to becloud your thinking
Simply notify your riders that you don't collect TRANSFERS for CASH before you start the trip.
I can even understand the fake alerts as scamming, but how you let a rider leave your car with the "I-will-do-it-later" line is shocking.
If he/she didn't want to pay with cash,it's easy to change it on the app.
Very simple something You: Sir/Ma, this trip is a cash trip. I don't accept transfers please
Rider: I don't have cash on me
You:It means you'll wait for me to see an alert on MY PHONE, or I could cancel while you wait for another
Wetin hard for here?
Make Una no let all these people dey ride Una. Transfer has become a norm, if u tell riders that u don't take transfer, it means u will miss out on so many trips, infact card trip is gradually fading as ppl no longer trust Bolt with dia cards. For long now I have not had any issue with riders over transfer, maybe I'm lucky or it plays down to communication, they r times I try to scan a rider and I know deep within she is d type dat will careless, but I just have my way of playing it to dia conscience b4 leaving. For instance Saturday before the previous one, I carried two olosho's from surulere to Ikeja and they have been having dia field day with music and gist with telling each other they r going to stop by a boutique to get some clothes and shoes b4 going to dia final destination... Me, I'm just minding my wheel jejely with d mindset of it won't work, as I get to Ikeja and they stop by at the boutique, I just slide d end b4 pim, ah and we want u to wait for us nah! Me, oh! Sorry, u did not tell me and I have another request on surge waiting. She brought out her phone to transfer, no service... I told her I'm leaving, I hardly accept transfer and share d story of how someone try to scam me and the measures I took to get my money back. They no deh tell person, she was even using dear on d phone with apology, when d delay is taken longer then expected I just don't drop my account and leave, I am nice, cool and gentle, but I must read d riot act of thinking otherwise, cos the devil is very temptive, pls don't let him to use oo If I am not sure of rider, I stand my ground for d rude entitled once and f rating. I still have a pending case in my mind. Two of dem book a short distance ride of 900 on friday and they were meant to share d money, one gave me 600 and ask the other to balance up. In dat dia give me ur account tone, I look her like! Ontop 300 kwa, I gave her d acct, she was doing all d tin she was doing and frowning her face on network, oh! Dis tin will go now and they will debit me twice... I'm just looking, as u can see nothing has entered my phone, we spend like 15 mins trying to sought 300 naira, she have to go inside and beg someone for it, they took dia goods in the boot, only for me to see shoprite groundnut oil and sprite in my boot on Saturday evening. Even her 300 naira dropped as well, but I can't figure out her number again, but I feel I can still trace where I drop dem, but im just thinking if it is worth it for me to go thro dat stress for 1 litre of groundnut oil and 100 naira sprite plus her 300 |
