The trip cost me almost 3k fuel to and fro. Did offline of 2k back to Lagos, 500 naira passengers.

izzou: From my own observation, the following affects your rating
How many stars the riders gives you
How frequent you cancel or ignore trips
and also when riders cancel the trip by themselves too
Just call that number for them to unblock you This week I have done 15 trips straight, no cancel, no riders cancel, no failed acceptance and trust me, they were all cool ride. But last week was crazy, MTN network mess me up with 4 failled acceptance, cancellation is was flying get on right to left . Please help me with their number, I've never been to their office before outside registration beside forte oil and hope dis work, that queue is just my concern. |

I rushed to my account and realised there was a full day trip on one Thursday, nd that Thursday accumulated to 130k..
I called them to let them know the situation and they said I should visit their office, getting there they said I would have to pay the 130k... I was like AYEYMBJN , Wch 130k... D one I did not work for!
Later they said suspicious activity occurred on my account and was told my account was hacked ..
Since then I no ft use my app again...
Is there any way out of this people? Its not my fault their app was vulnerable enough for people to hack na..

IFSHR: Good morning my people.
I am in a little delima and will appreciate some advice. I am conversant on this thread but not with this current profile. I had to use a different profile.
I was out of job since last year march (I resigned due to harsh working condition and the place becoming toxic), so to keep body and soul together and my little family, I opted to drive for Uber/taxify, I did the registration and training but had no car forthcoming after several tries.
I posted here about wanting a car for hire purchase and I got one from someone on this thread by October (reason for me using a new profile, though I don't know the person's profile but since she picked my number from here, I guess she must be following this thread) but on the agreement that I make a down payment which I paid and I have never failed any of my remittance, so currently I have like 15 month to pay and be the owner of the car.
I stopped applying for job just to face the hustle as I had plans to start up my own little professional business, but there was this job I applied for before I got my last job, I had already meet with the CEO of the company but I didn't get a call back from them, so I just blanked it.
But I got a call from the CEO himself last week asking if am still available which I responded in the affirmative and to cut the long story I got a juicy offer and it came with an official car.
I am yet to explain anything to the madam that gave me the car on hirepurchase, I believe I must be honest with her because the contract is her own hustle as well, but I may not be able to meet up paying her weekly but I can still pay her monthly but that will be from my monthly salary (this is an option my wife frown at, her reason being that 10month of such money can get me that same car, why pay it for 15month)
The second option is to give out the car to someone else while the person remit to me and I remit to the woman (but the clause is that when I signed the contract, one of the term is I must not sub contract the car to another person, as the wan has right to get back the car if she discover such). To correct that I am thinking of meeting the woman and explain things to her ,so I can sub-contract the car, but you know Some Nigerians can be funny she may agree now just to come back later and trigger the aforementioned term.
My people I will welcome any advice...thanks and God bless Boss return d car and wash ur hands off anytin that have to do with the car, in fact go to station to terminate the agreement with stated reason... Learn not to vouch for anyone in life, it is very important u learn this. Nothing is as good as it seem, just as nothing is as bad as it seem. |

gunzANDroses: What a story. Humble beginnings. Just so we're clear, I have no beef for the guy. Just saying I listened to his radio interview and the guy practically had nothing to say. Maduka have always been one person I look up to, from the little I read about him, he married at 23, a born again Christian who doesn't watch TV. Another person I respect so much is Chief Dr Godwin Ubaka Okeke of G.U.O motors, he started from one car to where he is today, so where others are seeing impossibilities, u can choose to see possibilities, its all about choice and feeding the hunger. |

I got my matrix almost a year ago and I haven't had any major issues, thinking that's how it's gona continue. Until suddenly I noticed my car legs are in a total mess. I had almost changed all the parts on the car. Today only I chalnged brakepad, leakages, hubs, shock absorber, engine seats. I almost cried after all these expenses. Gentlelife50: You're very correct my brother, unless there is no other business. I mean investing roughly 2 million in Uber which may never come back in one piece, then Uche and his cohorts will be using me to enrich themselves. Or maybe at end drivers give me stories in return when the car is gone, like I said before I always discouraged anybody that ask me about the business. But then if the person insists who am I to stop him? The way the system is only few people can survive and make something out of it, just try and be among the few sha. As for Babadee, he is yet to explain how he does it everyday. I'm waiting for babadee, since morning all I've seen is 10200, no toll, no transfer. |

See we should b mindful d way we share HBP in dis platform, water can either b use to make a substance soft or hard, it all depend on wot we r made off, you ppl should not turn the malt in Oga Dru's mouth to Adonko bitter (remember we still have cars coming).
There is nothing new in what AngryIgboman said that has not been shared here, maybe a reminder, but I think everyone just have to understand his/her priority. Hustle can never take the place of a job, the situation in this country is hopeless and we just have to get by for real... As u r driving in traffic take style b looking at the face of those ppl hawking and disgest whatever u make out of dia struggle.
Needless to say, yesterday! A lady advertise if HP or rental is best for her Camry, I looked away, cos I was push to type DIY, it will come out as insult, but in reality, I'm just being honest. It will take hopelessness for me to take a car on rental or HP, I'm not spiting those that r into it, I just don't see the reason for such hardship (Unless I have the intention of using the car to rise quick fund and won't deliver), but on the other hand do we know some workers are earning 20/25k monthly (including graduates). Driver/partner is nothing but slavery and the interesting part about it is folks that are not on the road or have never been on the road knows and feel they can tell the situation out dia better.
On driver owners... If you receive employment letter of 80k today, will u drop this hustle? Can you save 100k every month and still take 3 days break weekly? Everything is in the power of influx, set your goals, understand what you r after and when to draw the line, nothing last forever... You can't use this hustle to build house? Yet folks on 80k salary they arrange 3 bedroom. You see this life, everybody is like a weed, but you see other people and admire them because they choose to cultivate their weed, do same to yours, make most of the little you are seeing today and wait in 3/4 years, if you won't b using dis experience to tell story.
I have always said this and I'll say it again, it is dumb to use 1.9m as a start up investment for dis business, gigo! What uber/both give, they get, any car beyond 1.2m is a waste of fund.
Babadee we get talk, how u earn 10/12k BTW 5am to 12 noon... We need ur advice.

djwdiamond: Please who else experiences this rubbish from taxify/bolt driver app or am I the only one? One will be on a trip and this app will just go off. That's how your money goes off with the app. When one finally restarts the app, even if you've driven from Surulere to Ajah, at the end of the trip the app wouldn't display anything more than N500. Don't even consider price review because it takes taxify/bolt 2 days to review your trip and worst is when the trip is a cash trip, you'll never get your money complete. All they do is shouting competitors. Your competitor ALMIGHTY UBER APP is 100%+ better than your taxify/bolt app. Even UBER driver support services and response is supper excellent. I've never loose money with UBER but taxify/bolt is uncountable times. Drive with taxify/bolt your heart keeps jacking but with UBER, you'll just be driving with peace of mind. The only good tin about this new app is just the destination display, it helps one to avoid the are you coming or not question. Out that, nothing more, to end trip is always problem, most times I have to restart phone. |

A DPO once told me something’s
1. Only fool will see police with guns on the highway while traveling in Nigeria road and be claiming useless right or be fighting with them. Instead, manage your situation and leave.
2. Please don’t ever argue with policemen at midnights with guns in areas you don’t know. They (police) checking at night, 90% of them never wear name badges or come with their official vehicles.
They threatened and created fear on these people last night. I just came here to share my experience. Have a blessed day guys Those guys r not police, just legalised robbers |

radautoworks: That's why I said might and what do I know. I be child of God so I'm usually protected from things like this. He protect all of us las Las.
I can tell you I never settle anybody since I came back to Nigeria. I will just politely help you waste your whole day with a smile on my face and remind you that your day is wasting. Sometimes I will put on my best foreign accent, feign ignorance as to what they want and ask straight up "are you requesting a bribe?".. at which point they usually can't get rid of me fast enough
Caveat: you have to be sure you have done nothing wrong and be prepared to be there a while. This applies to airport too
Funny thing is after I see them the next time and smile and wave at them, they conclude I am either crazy or stupid and we get along just fine lol You r acting dis way because u have seen a sane society, not that they dont have dia own social problems, but shame has been taken away from ours, the system is fantastically and spiritually amok, anything goes. An average Nigeria have one or two things to pin him/her down, but its left for him/her to b judged in a competent court of law, but no, everyone is muscling their presumed weak and taking advantage of such situation.... Man unkind to mankind, I want to build house, buy Benz and so on. Let's take a good look at the situation, what r deh doing with such stuffs in the middle of the night? Work stuff should b left at work, they can b robbers as well, it is only an Hausa man that is permitted to move with such object and no one stops him. |
