Parlee: The driver before me took this guy to ayobo or so and the trip ended at 5500 until now the driver hasnt received that alert. I then got his request at ikeja under bridge to shrine, took him and his drug head friend there in fact both of em drug ass whimps. Got to shrine started wasting my time with nonsense stories about how he forgot his modem at his mums place, he called his mum on my phone big mistake, he also called the earlier driver on my phone about his modem and too bad for him he left it in the drivers car, another mistake. Oya pay me na trip was 700 bolt gave a 200 discount, give me 5h make I de go na he say he wants to do a transfer of 1k so I will give him 5h so he can have change on him (no big deal, done it w couple times for some riders) oya do it na, baba showed me alert they deducted 1010 naira. Mind you all this happened sharply ooo. I left and got home n didnt see 1k alert. My mind started telling me it's a fake alert, I decided to call the earlier driver since he called the dude on my phone, baba say him never see alert yet and him mind don already de tell am say na fake alert the boy show am.
Say the time wey the boy use my phone call am say make him come meet am for shrine return the modem say him just reason am say him go rather go drop the modem for bolt office so that if he receive him alert the boy go go collect am for there.
The guy called me like 30 mins later saying omo be like say na fake alert that boy do for am oo cos him don check him bank app him never still see the money. Chaii na him I weak finish.
I eventually got the boys number from the other driver cos the number he has on the app is off, same with the number he called me on when he booked. Called him, he de talk nonsense, say if I get any complaint say na bolt I suppose direct am to. I Come tell am say na ordinary 1k na say bro if you needed help that bad all you needed to do was talk to me as a man and if I want to help I will.
Funny cruise but na the first driver wey Carry am I pity pass wasted fuel n time. Cant trust none of these riders no more oo no matter how good looking they are, and I used to be so cautious ehh.
Now I'm thinking of texting his mum and telling about her sons escapades. Dont need the bread again sef but just so she can be aware of what her son is up to, Make he no go red for the guy one day she go surprise. okorotalkative: pope191 abeg who those police offend? That kain move fit tamper with person sanity aswear. they always remind me of my days in Lebanon company ard 2007, dia is a machine called bailing machine use for compression. Anytime my boss station me at that machine is always a off day for me, I'll b the only one there from 7 30am to 6pm, 30 mins break and those Lebanon must not see you talk to anyone or use ear piece, as a non-staff, my chance of not stationing dia is slim, did dat for a year plus until one certain day, I got to work and my boss stationed me dia instead of my senior. I didn't even bother, I just went straight to d locker and park my belongings... The white man scream "Come back here or u r fired", I smile Oga! Me I don fire myself, no stress urself. Note: in Lebanese company deh don't fire, highest is query. deedee44: When we had taxify and lite, riders went for lite because they had a choice. They were asked to pay more for the same comfort in the same car (Corolla/camry 03 and 05 don't differ much). If there was no lite option believe me there will be requests as usual on taxify. Before the era of ehailing, yellow cabs were charging exorbitantly and they were cashing out daily. I get u boss, but wot we r talking here is adjust in price, dia is no way it won't affect demand, bolt is not a price inelastic demand without alternative. Let me give u an example of how this moment touches everyone... I take apply every day, I always get fresh apply from a particular place, but this January the aboki has been selling "Carry over" apply, which is unlike em. Now imagine if d price of apply goes up, while I'm already shifting to orange, what do you expect me to do? My point here is bolt are not being mean, they r going thro "deliberation after deliberation" to meet everyone need, while not joking with dia profits. |

Parlee: If bolt doesnt add a cancellation fee anytime soon, then drivers will constantly start cursing out these fake requests that come and you call they tell you where they are, you get there they dont pick up the phone again. No courtesy whatsoever. Bolt has already been able to take alot of uber customers because they dont have a cancellation fee which makes no sense. Bolt is a crazy company and everyone is biting from it. Went to dia off today at surulere to get my app unblocked, they ask me to go lekki... Blowing empty was already making me to wear frown behind d wheel. I got dia and as I was taking a number, I heard one of the desk attendance asking a blocked driver to go do training at surulere after sending him text. I started praying in Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo may this not b fate (Cos I'm.not ready to go thro d stress and traffic again). Las las bolt have a bit of respect em dem, the guy did not even ask me anything, just took my number, said ha! 2018 driver please go back online. I shake head for myself |

deedee44: Well.. I prefer doing just 3 trips in a day and make around 10k to doing 10 trips to make roughly the same amount. My point. Plenty riders + low fare doesn't significantly increase your PROFIT, it only increases your stress level and car maintenance costs. My opinion I want to believe everybody loves and want that, but in the absent of that, we just have to face reality on ground. We r talking about cases where they r low riders due to inability to afford the price. Do you remember we once have taxify and taxify lite with low fare? Do you know how taxify drivers beg to join lite? Its so frustrating to take children to sch on short trip in d morning #500, luckily! you get another 1800 trip and you have to wait under burning sun till 2pm for another trip. What profit means to me presently, is if I can use 3k fuel to gross 13 - 15k daily, then I'm filled. Giving to what is obtainable with the numbers of car, if you want them to go back to the good ole days of where 3 trips can land u 10k, drivers may not do a trip in 2 days. I remember my beginning days, I'll set destination trip and stay on the bed, sometimes deep asleep and request will wake me maybe after 3hrs to get my ever sweet trip, then I'm indoor and wasn't intense or uncomfortable... Believe me, I pity for drivers, when I park to do stuffs and come back to meet them on same spot using dia phone as only tool to fight boredom, just as I pity for dose lone policeman standing on 3rd mainland bridge (No tot on earth dat won't pass thro one mind at such given point in time). |

medd422: The higher d fare, the more available the drivers. The lower d fare , the more available d riders What's d essence of more riders when they can't get a driver When u request from a cheaper app and u couldn't get a driver, u will definitely be forced to request d expensive one And as Nigerians, we normally get used to everything with time. So Uber and bolt should reason with d drivers and come up with something meaningful Its better for rider to b available, then for drivers to b sleeping for 2/3hrs without ride. I know some sch of tot will disagree with me, but it is what it is a d remember availability of riders somewhat means surge. |

Gentlelife50: I wonder how you will take a rider going to a 5star hotel or restaurant. You also give that rider a 5star ride, on your A.C., open the door for them play music for them make sure your car smells good at a very cheap price. Why is the 5star hotel or restaurant not cheap and your 5star services is cheap. Uber and bolt are busy fighting on who provides the cheapest fare at the detriment of the diver and car owner. They say when two elephants fight it's the grass that suffers. We have chicken republic, testy fraid chicken, KFC, tantalizer etc are they not doing competition too? Why is there food not cheap due to competition. We have thousands hotels all over why is there service not cheap? Because they are the owners of the business and they spend alot of money to run the business. But uber/Taxify are not the owners of your car so they don't care how you feel.
Na copy copy ooo The problem here is demand and supply, bolt and uber r not stupid, its all in the ratio of request to availability of cars. |

Epphy: What I can sense from this is that one or more credit cards was/were used on the account and Bolt already made payments to the bank account of the hacker's account as a driver the following Monday. Defrauded person(s) complained to Bolt and as such the 135k+ shows as 'Refund to client'. The 11k must have been the trip(s) amount after the review.
It must have been a job done with an insider(s) i.e Bolt staff.
These scams are everywhere telling drivers that they can credit their accounts with #120k ish and they share the proceeds when Bolt pays Sure, its a scam tin |
