I have seen things
A trip long gone cheesy I don't know why drivers keep hurting themselves. Yesterday, I was on the Island around 5, riders won't stretch beyond normal. VI to Yaba or Surulere was showing 1hr plus on the map and drivers are picking 3500 trips. Riders have no options than to increase price, if only we can stall them around some more. 2 things that crossed my mind.

1. If you are not driving and complain about low price, I'll understand. You just can't put up with the competition.

2. If you are driving and complain about low price or inability to make anything after hours of driving on rida or Indrive. Then you are part of the problem, you keep picking unreasonable trips.

For a 50 litres, if it takes a driver to use 2 days for burn it all. Then, one need at least extra 7k from what he usually make before Bala blu. And I think one of the best way to achieve that is to add at least extra 500 to 2k trips, 700 to 3k trips, 1k to 4k trips and so on. Riders are honestly not complaining with this shift in price, they can honestly understand the situation. I don't know what some drivers just can't see 5k trip, voom! They jump into action.

For Indriver buddies

I only drive on indrive and only on mainland only.

Never be in a rush because the next trip might be better than the one you are evening bidding for.

Always position in a central place and safe, so when trips come you can go in multiple direction avoiding dead driving.

It takes time so best is to stay and drive to location you are familiar with

Put you car stereo to Lagos Fm as it helps to know if there impedements on the road or where let's stay a broke trailer an accident etc. When going to a destination always look at the return journey.

Stay focus and comot your eyes from the fuel Guage and just drive.

Some trips are so good that you will be happy .

But some are just okay.

Some riders believe the estimate price is the price they can only pay because it is what the app is saying .

New format.

After waiting for 5mins.

As soon as the rider is close to the door expecially those long trips of 8k.

Click cancel and keep your 800.

😂
1. How is it possible to comot eyes for fuel gauge?

2. E be like you just start, chill till in drive reason your account. They don't reply or give reason oo

I completely disagree with his submission that time and energy on 9k and 19k expenses are the same.

With two trips of 4k each gives him 8k, now he needs a 3rd trip to make up for his fuel and commission before he starts to now look for his net. Now this is at 185/ltr for 30L.

Now how many trips of 4k will he have to do for his expenses of almost 20k before he now starts to look for his net?
All of us still deh lie for ourselves, reality will be clear soon when Lagos resume fully or one truck spoil for road. All we are striving to get now is fuel money after our usual net, with time rent, foodstuffs, school fees, beer, domitila money will add to normal and we shall be fighting to get them too.

A days work is a days work and half day is half day. Any day I work a days work, I make minimum 20k Net. I don't say this to impress anybody, it's something I should even b hidding, Like most people do their earnings.
I have done this for many years, now I don't drive everyday again because I have other businesses I am engaged in. But the day I drive full day like on Friday last week, there is no way I will not make 20k take home.

I would have said okay and ignore ur post, but because I went to church today, I want to use my church mind and give u a respectable response.
nah! You don't pick your words very well. You just call people lazy for trying to have an insight over Bala blu shock. You could have be more sensitive with your words boss.

So, yesterday (Saturday), I grossed 45k with 30L fuel.
Though I bought the fuel I've been using @184 before subsidy removal.
Now, it is obvious that definitely, 30L fuel will grosss me 45k on weekends (contrary to when fuel was @185 that I could use 30L fuel to get 35k).

ANALYSIS

Before:
Fuel 30L x N185 = 5,550 (tho, I normally buy 6k)
Indrive commission = 3,500
Total = 9,050
Gross = 35,000
Net = 35,000 - 9,050
Equal = 25,950

Henceforth:
Fuel 30L x N490 = 14,700
Indrive commission = 4,500
Total expenses = 19,200
Gross profit = 45,000
Net profit = 45,000 - 19,200
Equal = 25,800

Time and energy input seems the same.
I don't normally use weekdays for my analysis cos weekdays are a rough period that require more strategies (for me). Sometimes, they come easy, other times, they come not easy.

Much respect, bosses.
Here you are making sense. 30L is more than half tank and very feasible. I strongly believe there will be some balance in the hustle if drivers borrow themselves brain. I just did 5k to iponri from ajayi road. On the norms it use to be between 3.5 to 4k. Telling me you use half tank 25L to do 61k for 3 days after driving home for 3 days get as e b.

Actually, I have discovered this thread is 90% lazy drivers, part-time drivers and people that aren't even in the business.

Arguing with them is a waste of time.
One would ordinary expect serious and genuine questions as to how to achieve success in the business, or just copy what they see. But no, na to sitdon dey press phone they talk "it's not possible", "it's not profitable"
They have been complaining since 19kokoro, period within which serious people have saved and travelled out, some have built houses and big busineses, some have multiplied their fleet and all manner of good reports from ehailing.

Fuel price is just another talking point and excuse for them, devil dey beat drum for their head and them dey dance to the rhythm. Within these 4days someone has made 80k driving with the same price increase, but some people have parked their cars, and are home crying and wailing, some say they are still observing. grin some say it is a rat race undecided some say it is running like a headless chicken lipsrsealed some say it is moving lagos up and down cry
Well, as our faces are different so are our challenges and destiny. Make everybody do wetin dem like with their life. Not stressing myself to proof anything again. But I will still be here for the people that really want to work and succeed in the business, I only pity the people that will be deceived to follow the ones that are secretly working and making it while discouraging others on this platform.
Pearl sorry to say this your post is pointless... I deh omole estate like this, fuel 10k no reach half tank and that's 20L. The trips out here are not encouragin at all.

From 184 to 488 and you are expecting people not to frown at it. Even NNPC is predicting a lot, the road has been free ever since, people are trying to adjust to reality, houses can't run Gen again, but you went to act as if all is well or we all should act as if all is well. Are you devil's advocate? Just a question... take a look around, nothing is working as it used to be.

The thing is that if these app owners raise prices at the same pace as fuel prices rise, they risk losing clients, and when they do, it will also have an impact on the drivers.
Big no! And the thing still remain drivers are the big f**l here. On the other hand it is understandable. Indrive is using this as advantage to gain more riders, obviously this price won't work. Infact prices are low compare to what we usually do. By now there should be no more trip as 1k again.

I won't argue with those saying do as you like if everybody off app and leave 5 persons to work, they will obviously come up with the best figures in the world. Let all drivers gear to work and you will understand better.

I can't buy fuel of 15k and be picking 1k trips, drivers are just being stupid. Walahi!

Bro as this work dey now. It is wake up call for so many of us to engage our brain to think deeply and take informed decision that will shape our destiny for better

Through out this week it has been research upon research, trying to figure ways to free myself from over dependence on this hustle. I know soonest I will stumble on a life changing idea. Nah patience and perseverance e go require.
Always woke boss, as much as I love driving, as much as I can relate to the hustle because of the exposure and lessons that coms with it. The hustle still remains one of the most dehumanised job I've ever seen. Sometimes I imagine how the bin guys feel. This hustle has tot me how to threat everyone with regard and never to look down on anyone.

Anyway, it's either I increase fleet with time or normally move on to other things. No fear, no worries, didn't start out hustling with this and obviously won't end with this. A dude can't be driving in his 50s (no disrespect). Just playing for time and enjoying every bit of the journey. There will come a time one share this experience as one of the hurdles to great height and smile.

Even when gas was at 184, full tank should should fetch between 45 to 50k on indrive. Saying 488/l with same price including surge trip's on Bolt won't give anyone 120k.

I mean how desperate can you be! ICM to lakowe for 8k plus @ 488per litre. What could be the cause? Low self esteem, being naturally dumb or what?
Might be a destination trip. Folks on this business do things for reason, but in all drivers pick nonsense trips and it is almost impossible to compete with them. Indrive will obviously increase price with time.

He's right bro. The lies are much, and a lot of hustlers here know it, but they just don't want to argue. I also don't like to argue either. Something you experience daily, someone will be saying it as if you're a novice in it. You will start to get confused as if you're not doing it right! The worse is the ones that have never done the hustle before in their lives, but they will come here to tell you so much about the hustle, even the ones wey dem no know about!

I decided to work today. I was in my car for more than 2 hours. I got discouraged with amounts I was seeing on Indrive and Rida. 45mins for 3500. 20 mins for 1900. 1hr 10 mins for 4k. Omo, these are the usual prices when fuel was 185. If I try to bid high, another driver don pick am.
I just had to drive back into the compound, parked and entered my house.

Wahala don dey like this!!! Wetin man go take dey carry family?!
I still they calculate here, but hate this back and forth argument. No where in this world half tank will do 61k. Some arguments are just needless. I on app from home today, still the same thing, faint surge on Bolt. I just ignore all the apps. Drivers still remain the problem, I won't borrow anyone anything again. If they like write fellow comrade, president or aluta. Their problem.

Gods blessing to you sir..This is the type of analysis we should be doing here. I have spent a couple of hour cracking my head around the whole thing and to be honest, drivers will be at the receiving end! I did some trip earlier today and to be honest, my eyes were just gazed on my fuel stick on the dashboard. Looking at the way the thing dey drop and the stupid fares am getting, nah it doesn't commensurate...I would probably just work and refuel, then maybe eat, go home with few token that WILL NEVER equal to the number of hours I have invested, not even close.
Alapere to Ikeja usually is 2k b4 now am seeing 2200/2300 at most..That increase does not address current realities..If you have a car on rental, WITHDRAW it now and wait make road clear small...no emotion, just biz!
Almost all aspect in life is going to felt the impact, except for the unethical ones to some extend. I am just laughing at the drivers saying recover money for fuel. We'll still have to recover money for light, foodstuffs, school fees, house rents and all. If you use 2k to run generator everyday, be prepare to use 5k now. This thing touch every aspect of lives. I just think we can do away with the noise and argument and watch as things unfold. If driving pays as we have been saying, then it is an individual thing. Drivers should be able to go a month and still keep up with regular activities.

In my house for instance, we don't run Gen anyhow again, in fact I am the only one that have been able to run just 1 hour and might do another 1 hour tonight. I feel we should stop all these unnecessary comparison. Anyone that feel one is better than the other, should we submit CV to him or her at least help 5 guys get work here or link them up. We keep sounding as if one we just enter Lagos state office without connection.

But isn't that what we have been doing with 9,500 fuel?

Normally I do minimum 75k with my full tank of N9,500 fuel.
Now full tank is 23k, (difference of 13k) so if I am not making 90k it means my earnings has dropped.
So for me my target is to make extra 13k on every full tank. Bolt is giving 6k bonus daily so without any stress I am still good. Plus even if Bolt bonus isn't there, I know how to cover extra 13k on my full tank l, no be everything person dey talk for public forum.
The goal is not to make double or 164% of what u usually make before, just cover the difference in the fuel and u r good.

I just dey look una wey dey complain, but I no wan put mouth because I know say una go chop me raw. All fingers are not equal Sha. But u just have to be wise!
