Try to beat the morning traffic even if it means leaving an hour earlier. Then choose your trips as if you were on Uber destination trips with your destination as Chevron. Get to Chevron then do same back to mainland

It's what I do but in reverse. It's simple. Just try it. The traffic starts at a particular time. Beat it
Forget my zone, nothing like leave home early. If you are destined to pick your first trip by 8am, so shall it be. They no deh rush, so you wait grin

Pope191. I posted this yesterday.

If you have been paying attention and were comfortably grossing 30k daily on Indriver, your new daily target is 45k. You're basically doing same number of trips but re-strategize to 3k for 30 mins trips and 5-6k for 1hr trips. Anything less, rejecto.

Same time, same energy, same number of hours. This is for a 6 day work period Indriver... (Fuck_Bolt)

Weekly fuel 75000
Weekly commission 27000
Weekly gross - 270,000
Weekly net - 168,000

No time

If you have more energy good. But stick to this.

What you do with your net, your biz
OK. .. thanks, I've been able to pick the things I need. Obviously it will be hard for anyone living around Berger to keep up. Going to pick a trip at Magodo is a trip on it own, if you get stuck in the berger morning traffic is called this too shall pass.

Wow! Just wow!! Let's not see this as an act to rubbish effort, but a process to learn from you. I guess that's part of the reason we all fellowship here. I as a person before this bulaba normally do between 25/30k in a day and I only work for 4 days exceptional on Friday night as the spirit leads if I feel like seeing sights and sounds of Lagos night life.

I honestly will appreciate if you can upload your yesterday trips from start to finish. Not as doubt, but as a learning process to know if life on the mainland is fat differ from that on the island as Northbird just said. You will be at Berger dragging Ikeja 4k grin is it not when you see 3k you will even drag. Surulere can never get up to 5k and your next turn to see a reasonable trip is in God's hand.

But that details of your trips step to step we honestly help here boss. If I can do 35/40k in a day, as long as I don't use more than half tank to gross. Meaning 24k fuel can gross 70 /80k I'll be back with a bang.

The challenge is that those app companies work strictly with data and NOT the few messages drivers are sending to them to consider their plight. As long as guys continue working, to them it's business as usual and those sending messages are the lazy ones.
I was in island on Tuesday when the surge was high 2.x. Riders ran to indrive, unfortunately nobody to pick. I stayed on bolt using side eye to observe indrive. One had to request on bolt when nobody was picking.
In summary, don't be at the mercy of anybody whether individual or company. Get to the point where you can have options in your endeavor. I remembered happily resigning 2 months into a job some years back when the owner was giving me unreasonable targets.
You are getting the point, I have always said it that apps company just don't increase price, they do it systematically after deliberation. The problem here are the drivers. Over look trips, all the trip they are picking can't obviously work on renegotiation, with time riders won't even answer them. You saw the price before picking is what you will be hearing. If you over look trips surge will app with time because demand will be greater, but no we keep dragging trip.

Yesterday I got a request from a client to pick up sometim at Ogudu road and drop at his home, same Ogudu. He start with 5k as payment, but we were still able to reach a better price atleast and I still picked a trip of 4k to Maryland on my way to Ogudu from Berger. On th app to see things and the situation out here, I was only able to gross 18k on indrive plus the 4k, because I was cherry picking trips that still doesn't amount to anything, tho a slight shift. Giving them the last price on the app. My last trip around 9 was to Berger. I picked it by mistake (2400 ) and we start having argument of 2800. Las Las I told her to pay 3k from GRA. On the norms that is what I use to pick such trips from GRA to Berger 2800/3000.

The app will adust with time, but on till then, I'll be observing or might drive on Sunday if I'm bored.

Like I keep saying, conditions now are better than before fuel increment. You've not just seen it. I've grossed 90k in the last two days without doing any extra work apart from bidding on trips that meet my strategy.

I Divide my hour by 7k or simply do 100 naira per minute.

I have about 13 hours to work or 60mins x 13 which is 780 mins.

Each minute is 100 naira which is a potential 78,000

All I need out of the 78k is only 45k. It guides me in choosing and bidding trips.

This thing is a blessing in disguise.
Please how much did you gross yesterday and today. Let's leave Tuesday and Wednesday, heaven knows I will 90 at most on those days. Right now roads are free somewhat because people are yet to recover from the shock.

No way! These Apps need to do something about the pricing. I'm still seeing the old prices and it's ridiculous.

You can't survive this, its a rat race. You will suffer, your car will suffer, mechanic will cashout on you, fuel station will become richer due to your constant patronage, you will burn out, you won't have money to fix your car when it breakdown! This I have seen.

If you don't use your head, walahi, OYO.

Majority of the riders don't care. They still want to maintain old price, the ones that want to add money will offer 500 to 1k extra. Is it for garri or ewa?

I charged one 12k to airport from Sangotedo, she say no, na 8500 on the App she go pay, another one 10k to Ogudu, she say never, few minutes later the guy that needed the ride called back that I should come. That's the only trip I've managed to do today.

Chat/calling every now and then to renegotiate is exhausting, I can't keep up. They should just do the needful abeg.
Now u are seeing clearly, o craze like mad. If I use full tank every 2 days. It means I will be dashing filling station 14k every 2 days with same price. Can't werk.

Renegotiating price is another way of insult, not even the way deh drop phone on you and call back after tot. I am not begging for food, let the app coy work on their app.

A rider was telling me yesterday that initial price was 2800, but she reduce it to 2400 and if we will have to do anything it will be the 2800 on the app. Inside my mind, I was like you wicked oo, still reducing price at time like this? One use bus stop as landmark because address did not pop up... madam this is not time for all those nonsense.

Before I can use first trip of 4k within 1 hr to settle fuel. Now you can drive for 5 hours to do 15k to get fuel momey. It is not just worth thinking abeg. I pity for those on rental, barely anything will be left for them.

I hope you know that drivers who accept such ridiculous prices on those Neg. App, most often renegotiate the prices with their passengers. I recall being on a trip with a lady from Osapa london to Ologolo, while in my car she booked a ride on indrive, for an handyman who was to do an installation job in her house from ebute metta to osapa london, the telephone conversation was quite revealing the lady informed the driver that the amount he wanted to collect was too much and pleaded for the driver to accept N5k, the driver only accepted her low price on indrive with intention to renegotiate, while unethical but it is now a game of survival of the desperadoes.
Which trick I haven't seen on the app? When Indrive first lunch the app, that's the model. Accept and bid, but with time riders start acting i don't care, you saw the price and some will even insult you. If indrive deduct 1k from you balance or warn you, no one will tell you to wise up. Regardless, they are areas you force negotiation, not places like Surulere, Yaba or ikeja. Trips was just generally low yesterday and anyone using Tuesday and Wednesday income to measure the reality on ground is still far from understanding what's on ground. When there's 2.4 surge on bolt, indrive becomes the new bride. Ask driver's the number of new rider they saw this week alone. Until all the apps work on their system and fix a reasonable price, buying fuel for 24k and using it to gross 45/50k is not worth it. No matter the turns you do in a day. It is mech and filling station that is going to enjoy it.

NB : I do negotiate price with riders if they are going to berger, we both know we are going for an undefined trip. It is not always what it seem.

Trying to find my way home, but it's not easy. The trip I am seeing is not just it. Surulere to berger 3500 and drivers are still rushing it. Best to just give space for now till things make sense. How can fuel jump from 184 to 488 and they won't even be a change in price from driver, even if will give excuse for app coy needing time to work on their app.

If someone earning 400k is struggling it means 90% of ehailing drivers are just ekeing out a living, that's a fact but I know you won't agree because of your Love for ehailing.

Now almost everyone agrees the Guy's problem isn't that his income is that bad, its just a case of mismanagement.

There are uncountable numbers of persons who fall in that bracket yet doing far better than him, even taking proper care of their families and additional expenses.

Everything is wisdom, I will ask you again how many of your ehailing drivers see 400k after expenses?
If they are, they will just be relatively few.
And how many of them afford such accomodations?
Why are most of them living after shangotedo, they always live around lakwe and beyond or ijegun, abule egba, ikorodu and the likes.

So I am asking, how will that equate the 165% fuel hike?
You sha won hear my mouth. If you are taking Ikeja 2k on indrive before, anything below 3k is a no no. Fuel of 10k gives 45k before. Now 24k fills your car. At least you should be making 60/65k from 25k fuel. How possible is that?

You will live long. Jerk price by adding 50% and reduce their bonus. Sack ther customer care team here and revert to indrive method. They honestly don't need office here to get business running.

Atk1nson:
I am not sure where you get your stats from, but driving your car is likely much cheaper than uber.

I recall I used to buy 5k fuel for my corolla some years back to commute to the Island and it last 1 week. At same time a trip to the Island during morning surge was about 2-2.5k. So I could in theory make my fuel money by carrying a passenger to the Island in the morning and at night when coming back. At some point in time, I did the morning one and so riders will pay for the fuel after just 2-3 days of a single morning trip to the Island.

So what you should be concerned is that many car owner will start doing commercial with their cars instead of driving empty to the Island. This is also bad for those doing uber business because they will take lower, all they need is to cover their fuel cost and still provide similar comfort.
Boss I am going with your submission, but like you are missing it as some point. Transportation is essential as food. There will be some sharp change, but remember we live in a country of ostentatious. Friday nights, Saturday and Sunday life won't stop people from taking ride. The corolla you mention is 4m. Part is killing, taking ride ease a lot for workers, driving after work has not been easy on mental stress and beside we are talkin about females not males here. Una barely take rides before.
