Barbiturate: Thanks Bro. So this is what I'll be doing anytime I want to put money there. Register card, load money, delete card I think the opay and kuda options are better... I put quality money in my account that may last me 3 days since it is only indrive I am constant on. The new Rida app is not for me |

Barbiturate: Who else has been finding it hard to pay commission on Indrive via transfer? Since on Saturday. Reported to their support, but they are not useful. They want drivers to register their cards on their platform. No be me! I'd rather continue with Rida than register my card! Register your card. Put the money and delete your details immediately after payment |

On Friday around 9pm I got a request from Kpmg 3800 going to Surulere. I drove from Olosa to PU. On getting to PU, rider cancel request. About to make my disappointment face, there she book again 2600. The painful part was me not giving her price from the 3800. So she leave "I'm coming" message. Patiently I took my time to wait for her. She got into the car as all set to go. I ask her if she was the one that book same trip earlier. She said yes, I smile and told her, I was the one that picked the trip too. She pinned cancel by mistake on the first one. Told her no wahala, I asked because we are going to use the 3800 to determine the price and not the 2600 since its a mistake. Aunt ask, why did I pick the trip then? I vex finish... like are you serious? How do you put your tots together? You allow a driver to drive from where he is stationed to pick up and you cancel the trip without any sense of remorse to ask me why I pick same trip you wasted my time and resource for? Aunt jejely reach for the door. Them no deh tell person. Saw her book another for 3600, I didn't even bother to pick. |

northbird: @ readadream, why are some riders like that? ,you use a service and you want to abscond.
I had a similar experience yesterday on indrive, ogba to ogudu #4,200. About getting to destination, I asked ,"transfer or cash", she said transfer,
She was still idling away on the phone till we got there, we arrived, and she said ,that her bank network was not going, that I should drop account number, that she is already late for audition ,from ogba to ogudu ,you were not late, when it's time to pay,you are telling me you are late ,this lady must be a joker. I just told her, "I will collect my money".
Long story short, after giving her hotspot,in 5mins, she found her bank network .
BTW, most filling stations debit you beforehand on their pos before dispensing fuel.
No time for nonsense Majority of the people are just being insensitive and another beat the hustle down attitude. Our ladies seem obvious because manipulation is ingrained in them. No disrespect as I prefer them as rider more to men. For awhile I've been fortunate on this false transfer regardless of my shortcomings, because sometimes I barely check receipt. I post this due to a woman, she should be in her 40s I guess, but real werey. She entered the car and the next thing I hear is why is your car smelling like this. Me with straight face hmm? I decide not to say a word. She continue with her rant... that's how drivers will come with useless car, when uber was still uber. I jejely pull over and ask what she went, she have right to options before I leave her street? Because I have both air fresher and my personal perf inside the car, I have picked different people from morning till 8pm, and she is the only one to say such. Then she goes, ha! Don't I want her to complain, drivers are becoming something else, this that, once they car arrive and she doesn't feel comfortable she won't go on the trip. Next time when I arrive, it took her 10 mins to come out, I should have leave the engine running, so the ac smell would have diffused before we embark on the trip. Tor! So ac smell is ur problem, wait till it starts to rain. We gradually slide into friendly m chat, she complained about drivers, dress mode, bad car legs and number of time she have to end trip as I try to explain about the sh*tty price to her and how she is already stressing me on a 2k trip. She too should consider the price of car. Las Las she mention how she took a ride and her transfer wasn't working. Driver won't let her go, but she force herself out and somewhat tell her gate man to sought the driver. Inside my mind I know say I don jam. Then she serve me my own breakfast. see you will give me your account, I'll transfer later, I promise. So that's how the story end sha |

Pearl1910: To everyone: It's very easy, just take it one day at a time. Target 40k on App daily by the time u minus 10k fuel and 10k Commission u are left with 20k profit. 6days a week and u have 120k a week. Rest one or two days every week. Provided u have met your target... Note, some days u will make way more, some days u will make a little less. But overall at the end of the week u must make ur weekly target. Then u will look back at the month, and find out u have made 480k profits. Do daily and weekly Ajo to help ginger u and force u out of the house even when u don't feel like it. It will also help keep u going when u feel discouraged in d middle of the day. This is what I do, and anyother person can do same. I even do your fuel 5k per day for 5 days, but you raised the bar to be 10k per day for 6 days. All these before subsidy. Otito diri kwa |

Pearl1910: I said Net, not Gross. What is 480k Gross? That's chicken feed.
Moreover, why will u save cash in bank for years when it can easily double in a year if invested back in a business.
Let's start thinking out of the box. Plan your life, and be contented with what u have made. I no longer drive on public holidays and festive periods. I have passed that level, I have paid my dues already. Why will I drive all October November and December and still drive on Xmas holiday? Naaaa...those 4days is for me and family. Are you part of those that add gas expenses as net? Let's stay on the subject matter, forget about other investment on this please and working on Christmas or not is a matter on self principle. Thank God you've added family to this. We are haading somewhere. Answer the first question. |

Pearl1910: Okay, if u say so. That's my MO, been doing this for a pretty long time now. I didn't say u shouldn't take care of bills. But put yourself on a salary and respect ur future and don't spend more than ur salary.
It's easy for people making daily money to spend and spend since they will still get money the moment they drive out. But if u discipline yourself, and spend within limits u have set, and cut your excesses you will be glad u did. Pearl I sincerely don't have a life. Can't even remember the last Christmas or Easter I celebrate. Drive, eat, sleep and watch movies, that's all. Maybe once in a while, on rest days, take a walk. If you gross 480k monthly, remove 100k for fuel and 48k for commission. You have 332k left. If you save 200k from that, then you have 132k... let's say your house rent yearly is 400k, car maintenance, unforeseen family wahala, aso ebi you see that 200k can't ever be every month, but every other month. Now let's assume you were able to save 200k monthly, which is 2.4m in a year. Then, it will take you 4 years to save 10 million. It is well o |

Pearl1910: Same strategy people use to multiply their fleet.
Minimum 20k weekdays and 25k weekends. Minimum 120k 6days a week. Minimum 480k a month Save Minimum 200k a month 200k X 12months = 2.4m Save 2.4m a year Money has a spirit, I advise you invest it into something u can easily monetize. So u don't spend it and u can easily flip back to cash.
Year 2 Repeat Year 1 and Save 2.4m And whatever u make from your N2.4m investment of Year 1 should give u atleast 1m. End of year 2 and u have N6m or investments valued at that.
Before the end of Year 3, u would have hit 10m or it's equivalent in investments. This is not feasible boss and beside I didn't say doing other things. I said driving on ehailing. We all have rents and other bills to take care. |

Barbiturate: There's no need for attacks. People are entitled to their opinion based on their experience. If driver A says the hustle doesn't pay well, so be it.....that's his opinion based on his experience. He shouldn't be abused or talk down on because of it. If driver B says the hustle has made him build a house and build other businesses, so be it. He shouldn't be attacked based on it.
The good thing is that the hustle is not virtual, it is physical. Anyone can go on it and see for themselves, and then decide whether it is mouth watering or not!
I don't need to stress this anymore. We should learn to be civil and mature in our response. No need for uncouth response. No need for attacks. It doesn't make sense.
Driving upandan isn't what one should boast about. While burning the candles in school, did you ever envisage that you would graduate and become a driver? NO! I'm quite sure you have a valid dream, but then Nigeria happened and you decided to do it and build from it. The hustle isn't what one should boast about. Infact, nothing actually is worth boasting about. Just be humble. Allow people air their views about the hustle, without attacking them. Live and let's live!
Pearl and pope love driving and they built businesses from this hustle, fine and good. Let them be. Me, Gentle, Baz and 73O9 didn't build anything from it....fine and good. Let us be. Everyone's opinion is valid. "No need for attacks"
The other day I complained about my AC and I fixed it with about 120k. The AC don pack up again. This time, it is the evaporator. I'll spend about 54k to fix it. It is part of the hustle. Make and spend. It is my experience....not yours! Yours might be different I am not attacking anyone, they both have problem of understanding and filled with negative vibes. My joy is 7309 was able to find his way to Canada and so his story. Either a driver for or against, I could careless. My joy is for everyone here to prosper as we get along in life. I intentionally use those words *Not sure where he got his funds from* because I knew knuckles head we come for me. They are so predictable. About dreams and aspiration... we honestly can't get to know people enough. Let's just leave it at that. I don't measure d*cks or put life over one. I have my perspectives and I don't force mine or allow anyone to force his on me. If I want to be in UK, it will only take time for processin to get me on that flight. All glory to God. And I'll keep saying it I never said the hustle is the best, I am giving all my best to get out. More reason I am always happy when I see a driver or anyone here take a step futher. Nothing more. About your A/C it is well... |

Pearl1910: Buhari didn't do anything...he fed his kinsmen and his party people fat at the expense of the entire country and it's citizens.
Unions can't be stronger than the regulatory and enforcement agencies except the regulators conspire, connive and sell out the people.
The problem with Nigeria is weak and corrupt institutions. That's why Fed Govt can admit that Nigerias fuel is sold in other countries. Instead of clamping down on the smugglers they instead decide to remove subsidy and make us all suffer for their ineptitude. Same thing with Customs, same thing with CBN same thing with NNPC, same thing with NCAA, NDIC all of them are thieves working hand in hand with the operators to milk the system and the consumers Well I won't say much about him not doing anything. But remember he was the one that removed subsidy and there was this body odour of a thing, with zero tolerance for corruption and he still messed up. My point is let's give this government chance, observe for some time before saying anything. |
