BAZ001: Lol, I was almost going into depression or running mental at some point but this faceless thread became my distraction.
Let me give little scenario I served (Nysc) in Lagos , got a job with multinational 2yrs after my service. Was sent on a project outside Nigeria for 3yrs. I was earning in dollars (estacodes) and all. Fast forward to 2017/2018 Exxon Mobil took over the coy and all oil rigs and turned every staff to contractors with shitty pay (not less than 500k) and option of changing to permanent staff later... the rest is history.
First Uber driving : ( I had 1.6m cash in my account) I joined the hustle cos I thought you will earn 350k easily without stress.
2nd time: corona happened and we couldn’t go offshore again, we working from home. No more offshore allowance. We are 9 in my team the first 3 guys dt travelled out in 2017 are now big boys. As in biggest boys Long story short I’m the 8th person that left Nigeria after wasting my time trying to hustle and get good job cos I like Nigeria.
The only way I was encouraging myself was coming to laugh and catch cruise on this thread cos I can’t kee myself. When my former colleagues are driving 2020 cars and paying mortgage of mansion abroad, I’m her dragging with olosho/Lastma or fake alert 2000 naira.
Let me stop here for now, But I will say it again any graduate in the age range of 25 - 38yrs driving Uber is wasting away precious time, energy and potentials.
I know it’s not easy cos I tasted of it. BUT I will rather you do it as side hustle than be relaxed in it. We miss u Baz001... but what's Baz001 without the meme

BAZ001: Me buying fuel without queue or no attendant...
I became humble and very busy progressing as I bow out and hang my boot finally.
Respect to all the veterans that has been in d hustle for more than 4years. ( I don’t know how you guys do it) To all newbies and intending hustlers pls do dis as side hustle or stop gap. Imagine if this fuel scarcity continues and bolt doesn’t increase fare.
I will always try to keep in touch with this thread cos in a way I’ve form an online bond with all of you.
I would have sold my low mileage Camry to an hustler struggling here but snake/ mr dress tight won’t let me be4 dem beat me... A friend bought it sharply ooooh. jokes
I miss the hot sun already... I will connect mama rad and our uncle soon with original Hennessy .
I celebrate all of you guys you are the real hustlers.
Modified: let me remove my pictures before some say I’m bragging. For the few people that saw it you can see that I’m way taller than the car Short people and scam I've always knw you are a scammer. Fear unserious peeps, within their jokes, they know what they are doing. Now back to this job is this, this job is that... I'll say it again, I intentionally avoid the crypto wahala. My sermon has always been understand where you are presently and focus on what you want, most especially if you are not a family man or with one or two kids. This hustle is not as bad as we try to paint it, I'm not saying it's going to give you all you want, but it is a damn good place to start. Baz001 the scammer congratulations, may that soil favour you. But how they allow you enter plane still deh suprise me, abi nah boat you use |

Y1nka: I mentioned I’ll give update about fuel on badagry express road.
85% of all stations are selling @200-230k
With @230k being with less queue.
This sales happen all the way down to first gate lasu road.
I know “islanders “ find this far. But I’d rather drive some kilometers and fill up every every, than wait on an 8 hour queue
The man that requested for fuel coming to pick it up Boss stop buying such quantity of gas in your car, especially for long journey. Lost someone close to me to this attitude during scarcity. Your life do matter, this phase will come and go. If fuel no dey, please rest, the world won't end. |

northbird: Drawing the cart before the horse. This communication gap should have been breached much more earlier. No notice of app update, no memo, drivers just woke up to find a new system of doing things.
Drivers are your tools. Without DRIVERS, BOLT is nothing. Just a piece of code. We both need each other. There is no need for contempt,no need for subtle threats. You can't unilaterally command people to do your bidding when they are not on your payroll. Some drivers have been wholeheartedly committed to the platform for over 3 years. You can't just dismiss such group of people by a wave of hand. I guess you are seeing clearly why I don't really fancy Bolt again. I've done 3k trips on Bolt, but they will just block drivers without any warning. Even mock drivers with wait for 10 years, not funny atall. Saw the influx of Lagride this morning, my heart skip for a bit. On the second tot, the sky is big enough for all birds to fly. Using GAC cars for ehailing? The maintenance won't be here. |

donfortune48: Lolzz. I have so much free time on me and it's been affecting my body mass. Time that if I put it on the road, would make me compete with Ant drivers. But the shitty fares and stress driving in Lagos no allow me.

IFSHR: Bolt started the witch hunting hiding under the disguise of Trust ....bolt, I think employed some new teams who are bent on making them lose a major percentage of the market ...even riders are opting to other apps and by the time, riders start getting drivers very far from them, they will start considering app that can match them with drivers with less minutes of pick up....bolt took over the market from Uber just because of having large number of drivers using their app online, which makes it easy to match mate riders with driver with few km, or just few meter pick up.
If the ratings and different mails sent to them is what it will takes to show the net grievance...then let bolt feel the fire a little....they are so unlucky with the timeline of this their new madness, not during this fuel scarcity. Where you are not sure of where you will get the next fuel to power your car....just like northbird wrote earlier....you will spend hours at fuel station just to go online and start moving Lagos directionless. The gas thing can really make beast out of one. One rider booked today, it didn't take 8 mins for me to get to PU, she cancelled before I could get to her with the excuse of not being able to wait. I almost felt like calling her and discharge insult on her, but a small voice just say. You are Pope, always learn to hold your peace. |

northbird: Seriously, Bolt had it coming, that driver score nonsense was the height of it. What effontery? You don't know what drivers face on a daily?
I spent over 2 hours to buy fuel at fuel station on Charity road, Abule egba. To be honest, the fuel guys were dispensing at full throttle, but see crowd, even they barred Okada guys from entering at a point. Police was on ground to make things orderly, Omo, this fuel issue nawa o.
After buying the fuel, I was exhausted, I told myself, home straight. then a stupid app will tell me to go and pick a ₦600 fare 2 or 3 Km away, because If I don't, my driver score will be deducted n I might be suspended from d platform, what kind of rubbish is that?
Bolt should buy cars on the road and see how easy it is. Or better still they should go ask Moove, I have not been seeing their red corrollas on the road again?
Omo any fleet manager, I cut cap for una.. Cost of car parts are really up now.... I can relate, I won't say I make much money on Indriver like other drivers on Bolt, but that peace of mind can't be trade for anything. I'm this kind of person that feels bad when rating drops. Some days Bolt will just sap that joyous mood for no reason. I'll cracking my head just to figure out where I went wrong, until Indriver show what transparency is all about. Those Bolt guys really got high on their supply and deserves whatever that befalls them. |

ReadaDream: You supposed swear for the man.
Island is not devoid of werey riders like that sha .. few minutes ago I was going through available rides on Indriver, I saw one guy that has stayed for more than 15mins, no driver picked the trip.
From deep down Addo road to Ikeja, guyman offered 3k . No be juju be that. I don't really blame them, but drivers that are always quick to rush trip. Tho some drivers don't like being at certain spots, especially the Islanders. Once they are in mainland they will pick any trip to islander, just to leave that spot. |
