Only a few of them are even scientists, they are mostly politicians like Al Gore, Hollywood make-belief persons like De Caprio and journalists.

It's a sham.

They started with global cooling.

And graduated to global warming.

And finally they coined climate change to cover their confusion and scam.

All without any shred of real science, only some temperature taken over a few years.

And then you hear something like "the science is settled".

Ok, could, can... it has been modified.

That you are not a spokesperson makes you like any other person here.

If you don't have an answer to people's questions why not just sit and read instead of jumping at what is clearly beyond you.

One of Fashola's few public projects (i.e. projects that are not on PPP arrangement) is being stalled for another 12 months.

What could be the reason(s)?

Is it shortage of funds?

DVanguard: Hmmmm, the comments on this thread tells a lot about the level of our intelligence. The level of ignorance in our land is too much and alarming. Lets keep on with our ignorance and lets see where it will let us to. The budget of California on fire service is almost as large as Nigeria yearly budget. Yes, there is lot of corruption in the land but that should never stop us from being objective. Which state in Nigeria don't seek for loan (including the federal govt), and it is a foolish business man that will invest in a capital project with liquid cash against available loan. I now understand why lots of Nigerians are very poor. Most capital projects are financed by loan any where in the world. During the meltdown economic crisis, Almighty America borrowed from China to facilitate there capital projects to revive their economy. I pity for my country with the high bunch of illiterates we breed. Basic Economics. Tufiakpa.
It's a simple thing.

Albert Einstein, why not use your non-meat brain to list those "capital projects"?

Who gave the loan?
On what conditions
For what purpose?
etc if you use your head you will quickly figure out what he did with it.
The real debate if he is to be accused of mismanagement is whether the project is overpriced compared to similar projects. I believe there would always be that kind of thing but since I am not a Fashola supporter I cannot speak to that.
The fact is the World Bank gave that money for a SPECIFIC PROJECT not for the Lagos State general budget
So, can you itemize what the funds were used for?

bushdoc9919: And Fashola's reducing the fees is another reason why that debt will shoot up....because LASU needs a lot more than the money it is getting.

And the fees shot up because the Federal Govt broke its promise to ASUU of N3 trillion over 4 years made in 2009. Now it is 1 trillion over 5 years....at 200billion yearly.....and it is to be split among 70 universities. Is that enough?

sorom4: So a mere building of a fly over calls 4 a laudable achievement? Our comments has deeply bn rooted into political and tribal lines. We just comment positively when our individual interest (tribe, politics and religion) is on line; but we frown on any developmental stride outside our interest. WOULD WE COMMENT SO POSITIVELY IF YOU HEAR THAT GEJ BUILT THE LONGEST BRIDGE IN AFRICA? Most of my APC supporters will call him names 4 doing such. CORRUPTION IS NO LONGER THE CANKERWORM OF THE SOCIETY; TRIBALISM IS.
Let him construct it first.

It doesn't matter if people refuse to commend him.

These things should not be based on commendations or non-commendations.

President Jonathan administration should get over mundane stuffs like commendations and get down to work.

When projects are completed and visible to the eyes, commendations will come naturally.

Majority of the people are rational.

Only a few (minority) will continue to disparage people's achievements for political reasons.

They should complete the East-West road for instance.

GTBank should stop charging 3/mil COT and reverse all the excess charges to customers' account as directed by the CBN.

3/mil COT ended in December 2013.

2014 COT is 2/mil which will end in December 2014 and 1/mil COT will begin January 2015.

January 1 2016 will see the COT completely eradicated in Nigeria.

Let the CBN enforce this with necessary sanctions meted to the erring banks.

Otherwise, the Nigerian Banks Customers should begin the process of class action law suit against this corporate fraud.

It is a surprise that it took this long for Tom Ikimi to be exposed as a PDP agent in APC.

Not that member of APC cannot be used by the PDP (with the instruments of power firmly in their hands; money, coercion, blackmail, political positions and some mundane recognitions like national awards, PDP can reach any living member of APC if they want) but Tom Ikimi never hid his love for the "largest party in Africa".

How did they entrust him with all their "secrets" until now?

It only tells you that the so-called strategists in APC don't know their left from their right.

Anyone who heard Doyin Okupe's statements about APC then should have known they had an insider.

But Oga Tinubu, your Ribadu comments is very unconvincing.

Whereas you did not instruct anyone not to vote for Ribadu, did you do your best "instruct" people to vote for him. It was reported that your polling booth was won by the PDP.

This is on the backdrop of a similar allegation against you by Alhaji Atiku Abubakar that you paid for Yaradua's legal services at the tribunal against him, your then party's candidate.

[Wispering] Is it not disturbing that these big big schools don't ever have Nigerian names? and they probably don't have a pan Nigerian flavour in their curricula. They might even indulge their students in neo colonialist machinations, machinations like 'the Europeans brought civilization to Africa'

Let's be sincere, majority of our leaders are sons and daughters of elites and the rich. And the average Nigerian big man will send his kids abroad or to those schools with affixes like field, ham, wood ...
[speaking loudly] And believe me fellow compatriots, these schools home and abroad are not healthy for our leaders' political psych. Aside the good neutral scientific knowledge impacted on them, some other crappy ideologies are added.

[Speaking normally] I hope to see more expensive schools with Nigerian names, atleast names of towns and cities they are in.
And Nigerians run good schools and patronise good schools at home.

Health › Re: US Commends Nigeria As Four More Ebola Patients Are Discharged by porka:
all4naija: It is clear you aren't making sense as the term you chose to use in your previous comment, LACED! It suggested the man was possibly infected by the American government and sent to Nigeria to cause harm to the people. You went ahead to read wrong meaning to say the Ebola drug was WITHHELD from Nigerians. Meaning it was there but the American government was not willing to give it to the people of Nigeria.

That aforementioned information above proves you have no single fact to support your primitive reasoning. Asking logical questions to divert attention from the underlying meanings to your previous comment is annoying to say the least. Your notion of Ebola in Nigeria is clear that you think it is designed by America to kill Nigerians.

For your information, Sawyer is a Liberian American. Pointing finger at America without looking to where he contacted the disease
and move from speak volume of your myopic view on this issue. You aren't helping in finding solution than blaming the wrong nation out of your misconception.
Ok, Mr. Eslavo, since you shamelessly parried the questions.

Answer these ones derived from your current spin job for your government.

Is a Liberian-American inferior to other Americans?

Did two other Americans (whites) not contract the disease and flown back home in specialized aircrafts to receive Zmapp?

Did these people not contract the disease from Liberia too?

Was Zmapp not said to be untested and therefore not safe for humans when the infections were limited to Africans?

Did the Nigerian minister of health not write the American government to demand for the Zmapp given to the Americans?

Did the American government not claim that Zmapp was exhausted and all been administered on the infected?

Did the same Zmapp not surface in Spain after that to treat a Spanish priest infected in Liberia?

Did the same Zmapp not sent to Liberia thereafter?

How do you explain an American having a deadly disease who knowingly carried the disease to Nigeria and willfully splashed fluid in apparent mission to infect as many as possible?

We were told that a single American life is guarded with all the laser, cruise , ballistic missiles in the world, how come this American was left to his 'own fate' in Nigeria?

Or are you guys given citizenship just to get 'visa to travel to 100 countries' as someone suggested here?

Explain to us Mr. Eslavo.
Health › Re: US Commends Nigeria As Four More Ebola Patients Are Discharged by porka:
honeychild: What I actually think is that Sawyer was acting for the Liberian govt. The world had been practically ignoring the Ebola stricken countries.
But when it spread to Nigeria, the world had to sit up and pay attention. An epidemic in Nigeria will affect the whole world - simply because of our huge population.
And it worked for them - the U.S rushed Zmapp to them.
Are you kidding?

Dr. Kent Brantly and Mrs. Nancy Writebol, two Americans like Sawyer were infected.

Do you mean those are not enough to bring the world's attention to Liberia that their government had to try and bring deaths to uncountable number of people in Nigeria?

And how has the three dose Zmapp sent to Liberia fared within the population?

Has it cured the dozens that were let loosed by hoodlums' invasion of a quarantine clinic?

Define rumor.

Is Sawyer not an American?

Was he not infected with Ebola Virus?

Did he not come to Nigeria with Ebola Virus Disease?

Did he not know he was infected with the virus before coming to Nigeria and while in Nigeria, having buried his own sister who died of the Disease with bare hands in Liberia?

Did Nigerians not get infected through Sawyer?

Did Sawyer not remove his giving set and splash fluid everywhere as reported?

Did he not ask to be discharged to continue his 'journey' to Calabar when he knew he had a terrible virus on his body?

Was there any reported case of Ebola Virus Disease in Nigeria before the 'mad' American brought it to Nigeria? Note: Since 1976.

Has there been any other reported case in Nigeria different from his and those he infected through contact till date?

Did his wife not claim that he came to Nigeria to seek a better health-care?

Is Nigeria's health-care better than America's, Sawyer's country?

Why did he not proceed to America to have appropriate care for his disease? Two other similarly infected Americans were flown home and have been 'cured' with Zmapp.

Are we in Guinea, Sierra Leone or Liberia?

And what are they saying in those countries by the way?

Do they know how a deadly virus suddenly 'jumped from the wild to a 2 year old boy' in Guinea?

Oya, explain to us Mr. Civilizado Eslavo.

all4naija: They have been providing assistance and financial aid through USAID for Nigerian health sector. They give you HIV/AIDS anti-retroviral drugs, supply medical equipment, etc. Now they have been putting in place information to help understand Ebola and explain the reason of not giving the Zmapp experimental drug due to small production available for supply you should learn to appreciate other people's effort or bugger off still!
President George W. Bush's effort on HIV/AIDS made him a hero in Africa. Africa is one of the few places Bush is celebrated due to the tremendous assistance on combating the disease.

It was his personal effort and sacrifice as a person using his position to do a people some good. We will forever be grateful for that.

Be that as it may, you would agree with me that those initiatives have been scaled down since he left in 2008.

The story is that an American was laced with a dangerous virus, 100 times more lethal than HIV, and sent to Nigeria to spread the virus among our population.

And the American government's response is to withhold the drug and just 'put up information' on why they withheld the drug (according to you).

Is that what we should be grateful for?
