omonnakoda: I will not vote for Buhari and it has nothing to do with certificate so let us stop beer parlour talk There is no law mandating showing certificate. What is important is that a candidate has the required qualification and that this qualification is verified. Tendering a certificate is the usual and obvious way to START a verification but it is NOT the only way. Anyone who has attended school should know this Anyone can forge certificates. Certificates may be unavailable for any reason(s) lost ,eaten by cockroach, rat ,children or consumed by fire(as in the case of Sambo ,was it Holy Ghost fire??). Nobody saw Obasanjo's certificates as far as I know. If Buhari claims to have any qualification I believe Nigerians can easily verify this. This is 2015 not 1960. The election is next month ,what are the top 3 or 4 issues that separate the candidates that is the debate we want to hear not this childish distraction which is aimed to arrest the attention of small minds like a child with a tinkly toy I believe Nigerians are smarter than that. Buhari will not be disqualified because of certificates so let us focus on the issues. Let Buhari be defeated in a clean competition Your argument is sound. But you should know that asking for a basic educational attainment is part of the vetting process by the electorate. In a democracy, in 2015, in Nigeria, a presidential candidate's educational qualification is AN ISSUE on it's own. There's a reason it's part of the requirements for contesting, and there's a reason for pegging it so low (O' Level); i.e. to accommodate 'all'. Having gone that low, we should demand that a candidate's claim should be without question. Please note that Lai Mohammed already admitted that it is not a child's play, they are already inciting the military on what you consider a child's play. Verifications of certificates start from a candidate's presentation of same. Imaging if all candidates in Nigeria are asking INEC to go and verify their certificates before presenting any. |

olaide721: For those who care to know BUHARI check this out Can anyone provide us with a palpable and verifiable evidence-based sources where ,INEC SAYS UNEQUIVOCALLY THAT BUHARI FAILED TO PRESENT HIS ACADEMIC PARTICULAS? ......
Noticed how desperately Buhari’s opponents tried to disparage his character and wondered why all they had in their ammunition were either petty, unverifiable or doctored information. wondered why you could not focus on facts and substantial issues.
If you point out that under Jonathan, 20 of the 27 Local Governments of Bornu State have been surrendered to the control of Boko Haram, PDP goons respond asking for Buhari’s certificate.
They want us to believe that Buhari who was once the Minister of Petroleum, A Military Governor, Military Secretary, Head of State etc achieved all that without an education.
They do not actually have any palpable evidence to present, all they want is to distract us from the ineptness and corruption going on under the watch of GEJ administration
Below is a summary of Buhari’s Education , Work Experience and Honours

Eziachi: Don't some people likewise in America also wanted to see his birth certificate? Some even claimed that he is a secret moslem (whatever that means). In general, what are the motivational factors behind it? Hate, air of superiority and racial and ethnic bigotry. In this case, the certificate is needed to satisfy a constitutional provision. Just the minimum (O' Level) or its equivalent. And especially to dispel a long held notion that people from his part of the country have phobia for education and excellence. Meanwhile, no amount of media ranting can wish this away. The military already knows who are attacking it. From a public 'disgrace' on the BRT lane, to public 'denigration' that Boko Haram is stronger to public call to mutiny as a campaign agenda, it is very clear who is attacking the military. |

maclatunji: Simple logic. It is basic requirement to present your original certificate for siting. You don't go asking an approving authority to write another party. They would naturally do their due diligence independent of you at their own time by writing for confirmation from institutions you claim in your application. Buhari must present his certificate to INEC one way or another. If it happens that Buhari cannot present his 'certificate' then his supporters should be ashamed. They are sacrificing merit on the alter of some phantom 'change'. This is the worst form of corruption. And to think that these are the same 'breeds' that after excellence. |
Politics › Re: 2015: Buhari Fails To Submit Academic Qualifications To INEC by porka: 12:29am On Dec 30, 2014 |
Eziachi: My question for you is very easy and elementary standard. Why would you be submitting an ID over an event you had fully participated three (3) times in past by the person or body? Because you are required to. Each application is not an extension of the other. The process ends at each election circle. Each process terminates at the end of the election. This is a different election. You may have upgraded yourself for instance. Or you have downgraded from your previous qualification. Whatever you claim must be backed up with the copies of certificate and originals sited by INEC officials. BTW, is this Osinbajo's first 'Oluwole' input as a SAN? He similarly 'handled' his godfather's certificate scandal some 12 years ago. |

Eziachi: University especially Nigeria ones created only certificate holders like Patience Jonathan of this world. University doesn't create wisdom. Good leadership lies in natural wisdom and those with University's based knowledge can run around natural wisdom to compliment. Nigerian constitution stipulate a minimum academic qualification to contest for president as School Certificate (Ordinary Level) or its equivalent. Natural wisdom is not part of the qualifications in our constitution unfortunately. |

You see exactly the reason why hot tempered men like BUHARI jail journalists for 100 years? Sule Lamido is Obasanjo's ally. Obasanjo threatened to jail him if he (Obasanjo) gets to office as president (or prime minister) next year should he continue to support Jonathan. |

thefakestan: Firstly I dedicate my account to "TherealStan"
Well I think the problem of Nigeria is clear to most Nigerians,
The Most Corrupt people are the "Civil Servants / Public Servants, where corruption is a "Norm" to them. "So soldier go, soldier come, "Barrack" remains".
Our Judiciary is the Bedrock of corruption, If for instance we have an autonomous Judiciary, I'm sure 90% of our problems would be solved, Because I can confidently Sue PHCN or Kaduna or Portharcourt Electricity distribution company whenever they fail to perform their duties and this is also related to other aspects.
No matter How good the Head is, If the Legs are rotten, it cannot take the Head to where it wants to go!!!
N.B - No system is completely efficient, but we can improve greatly.
For Instance
Muhammed said the N9.2billion inclusive of Value Added Tax was approved for the procurement of 750,000 units of clean cook stove and 18,000 wonder bags.
He said the stoves are expected to be delivered by Messrs Integra Renewable Energy Services Limited within a period of 12 weeks.
Same company !!!
The Federal Government and Messrs Signature Value Homes Ltd., on Tuesday signed over 80 million dollars Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop 1,672 houses in the FCT.
Where are our Journalists? What are you trying to say? Is Messrs your problem or what? If that's your problem, then your problem is a big one. Messrs is a prefix added to a company's name to signify its corporate personality. Because a company is a legal person/entity, it should bear a title. Messrs is the plural of Mr. |

GBTYO: OP is paranoid.
I don't think he meant any harm.
Given that you saw him enter the same vehicle he pointed out as his means that he was actually not lying about him owning the car.
The car might not have broken down. He might not have told you in detail what exactly was wrong with his car but maybe he could not start it. It could be that he was not used to driving it. From his description he might have had a driver drive him around. He might have simply not known how to deactivate the security.
On not using a cab, he might not have any cash with him and wanted your help.
WE all need help sometimes. He would certainly have called the driver (or someone else; wife, friends, neighbors etc) and wait by the car. Meanwhile, cab's service is paid after delivery not before. Obeying your instinct more in life is a good strategy. He may or may not have meant any evil. You prevent a lot of negatives by being vigilant. |

They prove in solid terms every now and then that ultimate political power is not for the half-hearted, the bemused or the childishly naive. Since the begining of this insurgency, every detailed security report points to the fact that a resource hungry france is trying to use cameroun and chad to destablise and if possible balkanise nigeria so as to contineu their unimpeded acces to west African minerals. . The rougue in younde helped them corner bakassi and because of obasanjos lukewarm handling of the rezultant court verdict, a stupid french now feels emboldened to more or else launch a full scale war against Nigeria using one pawn called shekau. Why should we fold our arms and keep quiet, while these bloodsuckers run amock?
Attack is the best form of defence.. why not forment a palace coup against Biya? Why not shoot down somebodys. Helicopte? Why not send some tough armaments to chadian rebels? Why are we just whining when we have enough capabilities to cause maximum havoc in this two very weak countries thereby keeping the two rougish rulers busy? Biya just like Campaore won't be missed by anyone but france who may not want to militarily interven because of Biyas over 30 years baggage of evil. Ditto the simpleton in chad. Infact, with our regioal clouth, we should have passed the stage where this two quasi states will be bold enough to antogonise Nigeria at will.
