Oduduwaboy: dont mind the GEJ arse-lickers. They will not rest until Nigeria gets destroyed under his imbecilic leadership. The guy has been compared to a bull in a china shop or the boy-emperor under whose watch the empire gets reduced to nothing. Let the GEJ/PDP people continue their naked dance in the market square...we are watching and at the right time we shall take our country back from them.Nigeria is going to be destroyed because the security operatives reportedly questioned a certain Oby Ezekwesili? |
Dee60: 80 girls were abducted in December. The news carried it. No one spoke. The government looked aside. Same time, boys were slaughtered like rams in the same Borno. Pictures were shown. But some people led the country to live in denial. Now, a privileged lady, who by all means has enough network globally to make money, chose to lead a campaign against the wicked denial, but Nigerians, especially those in the South are calling her names! Her colleague in the BBG campaign is the wife of a former chief justice. She has enough connection to be picking oil and gas contracts and scamming Nigeria with frivolous subsidies. She chose otherwise, to fight for the poor, the unheard, the minority communities in the North who have lost everything. Farmlands and homes have been destroyed, and now they are taking their daughters away into the forest for rape and for killing! Some people in the South have bought that wicked idea that there was no kidnapping. They will tell you that Shekau does not exist. And possibly that the army is idle in North East! How wicked? The more reasons she should ask her friends what games they are playing with the 'abductions' today, 'escape' tomorrow theories. She knows in her mind of minds that not many people really understand these games. Not many people will however fall for these stories that don't add up. Why should she support an impostor to pose as a mother of the supposedly abducted girls until the security operatives found out for instance? When they busted them on that, it dented all the reputation they claimed they had. And the reasonable thing to do is apologize for misleading the whole country. Instead of that, they used the same international media to malign the leadership of Nigeria. Going about as if nothing significant has happened gives the impression that more lies are underneath which they are only clever in hiding, but which will be revealed with time. |
nagoma: Incompetent , indifferent , insensitive and clueless president is so scared that his craving desire to remain in Aso rock is being dented by reason. He is now resorting to Gestapo tactics. That well known German dictator is now Oga Jona's mentor. He is not a weakling again? |
blacksta: ]Yes... Like Obama used the IRS to harass the hell out the Republican groups during the last presidential election. |
bright499: There is no difference between abacha government and good luck government. If u are saying d truth in dis country u will be called boko haram. He is not a weakling any more? |
gboss4sure: Most of these people are CIA and MI5 fronts,, I like the person of oby but she has started sounding like one of these hired cia recruits wey full for naija causing instability everyone. She's probably part of an agenda to destabilize Nigeria. The agenda has not worked so far. The situation is complicated for them. Some of these guys get used and dumped by their masters every now and then though. They will dump her when they realize their 'investment' is not reaping any dividend. |
1) 77% Nigerian women are not using any bleaching cream. The report is a figment of the imagination of the writer or that of the UN she quoted. It is a lie. 77% Nigerian women will never be able to use bleaching cream. BTW, the UN has been on record to have falsified figures in the past. One of which was an embarrassing falsification of HIV prevalence in Africa by WHO, an organ of the UN. 2) African women bleaching their skin do so for various reasons. Some because they are extremely timid psychologically and think they would enhance their self confidence. Just like bimbos who do not have anything to show with their brains but exposing their b r e a s t s. 3) Many African men have various perceptions about 'light skin' ladies, those apparently bleaching. One of this is that they are women of easy virtue who they can get easily. Some men will never marry an 'attractive' lady because they too have been 'attracted' in the past. 4) Skin bleaching in Africa, like most fads, will fade and then return. It is absolutely nothing to worry about. People get tired of things and leave them. 5) If the writer is a bleaching cream seller, she should continue her trade and leave Nigerians out of it. But like every market, it will end one day. Just wait for a 'prominent skin bleacher' to be diagnosed with a major skin infection and the market will go south. That's when you will know how far. |
portside: Sometimes it's very disgusting to read people's comments on nairaland,it's not encouraging at all.is there no way the moderator can block stupid comments? Its making nairaland looks childish. Pls seun do something about people comments before it will turn our once loved platform to that of hate.Learn to tolerate other people's view. Don't be a dictator. Dictators are like children who want to have their way. Your opinion may be very silly to others as well. And if they black you out too? Offensive posts are routinely blacked-out while irascible and uncivil posters are being 'banned' every now and then. |
Obiagelli: Fantastic work by LASG, if only and if only Fashola could be president. He would have deported poor Nigerians to Benin Republic because he didn't get low cost renal facilities to buy. |
texaco1: very very dicey game , info reaching isn't too good.there is likely to be violence but it will be curtailed .in ogun state apc will break into 2 and I am not sure amosun will remain in apcIt was very dicey in Ondo. Very very very dicey in Ekiti. We wait for Mr Dicey in Osun. What they mean is that one 'leader' has 'led' a plea team to the rock (like Nicodemus in the night) in return for assurances in 2015. It doesn't seem to be working at this point. The 'clueless' one would want to show the 'leader' what it means to be 'clueless' in deed. |
Fourwinds: it is true. Nyako was just a ride over. Edo and Rivers are not swelgbe like Adamawalol |
Toble: And you think this time he will win Rivers, Kwara, Osun, Edo et al and some core north? Wake up from your slumber. Kano has a total of over 5million vote last election , rivers with over 2million and there is no certainty in rivers for him this time as well as core north and guess what people voted for him in those state he won based on individual not party but this time there is going to be a difference....aint you tired of same government for God sake?we need a change, new hands, new ideas, not same PDP using power to fustrate, with corruption in every sector, impunity, increase in unemployment .Jonathan will win handsomely with a simple majority. He will make the constitutional requirement of 1/4 votes in 2/3 states. That's the easiest thing to do for an incumbent president. The fact that you resorted to subtle begging in your post means that you do not know what is going on. Elections are not won by pleading, it is by strategies, which your party has not been able to do. And violence is counterproductive as you are witnessing currently. If you think Edo people will go ahead and vote for anyone apart from Goodluck Jonathan for president in 2015 (if his name is on the ballot) then you are one of the most deceived human beings inhabiting the planet right now. Same thing with Rivers people. There are not many bastards in those two states. Osun is gone. We wait for the outcome of the elections in August for the requiem. The only saving grace is if your leader does what he knows best to do - i.e. cut deals with the C-in-C. The kind of deal Nyako entered into at the late hour. Kano and Kwara are safe for you guys. Pending the horse-trading with your strongmen in both states. It wont be difficult for the president to have his 1/4 in those two states though. Your frustration is well understood. But normal human beings would weigh the changes available before making any choices. Those days are gone in Nigeria that you would deploy violence to coerce Nigerians into voting for your candidate for the sake of change. There has been only one 'government' in Lagos State since 1999, are you not tired? Using your logic. |
NgeneUkwenu: Like, I have always said here: 2015 would be different from Ekiti election. One, elections in 36 states are going to be done one day! Every governor would be fighting and playing dirty! The problem with this kind of theory is the underestimation of the PDP's capacity. Make no mistakes, PDP has one million and one strategies to deploy. One strategy per state. That Nyako was impeached does not mean Amaechi is about to be impeached. El-Rufai's outburst not withstanding. The opposition is too fractious to attempt a counter strategy if ever they are serious about the game. |
OlandoOwoo: This is a classical case of cowardism. There is a palpable fear in APC campIt's not cowardice, it's politics. Nothing is wrong with it. All political parties strategize. Only that APC is reacting. |
lagbake3: Howdy? Dem ban you too? Na dem go taya!He lost all those ('your core North') in the last election. It happened that he won landslide. It happens that he's still the president. Nothing is different for the opposition. Check! Osun is gone already. Your party can't win any election, they depend on installation by the court. That, or they ask their opponents not to contest. Because, according to them, their opponents contesting will destabilize the country. BTW, the president lost in Osun in 2011. |
1United1: Apology to your brain, dimwit!Hope you would be able to say that when Shekau is being venerated in the future though. |
Talon05: Awah, you dont owe these "uneducable" lubbers any fuvking explanation. Let them think whatever.Shedding human blood is evil. Even Barbarians don't have to rise to high positions swimming in human blood. |
Oduduwaboy: ...there is always a Judas to deny Jesus na! that's the story of prof Awe !The message is to the prof. not a joiner. Prof Awe is more educated than you btw. |
Chynx: Brother, in as much as I feel your plight over cultism, I still need you to purge your mind of bias over any situation so that you can have a better understanding of the actual situation. This is not to say you have to come to terms with it...but at least, know the truth! One of the founders of your PC by name Prof. Awe not only renounced his membership but regretted being part of the formation. It's on record that both Profs. (Soyinka and Awe) sparred over the matter. If one of the founding members could openly denounce your organization, what justification do you have as 'joiner' to say otherwise? Some people would argue that Boko Haram started with an intention to take on the madness in the polity too (a la Yusuf) but it has snowballed into a serious monster we are dealing with currently. Were you there when your organization was formed? How do you want the victims of nefarious activities of campus hooliganism (termed secret cults) to receive your message? No matter what you say, Wole Soyinka co-started a very murderous youth movement in university campuses, he should be part of the clean-up in the twilight of his life. An apology to all the victims and their families will be a good start. Otherwise, you are just dressing up a pig with white clothe for nothing. Rising to top positions in the society should not be at the expense of human blood. |
bong4: my brother, i think we should be tired of paper qualification but performance. We have alot of MBAs, ICANs etc mismanaging our economy. How many mechanical engineers can differentiate between an injector or carburetor. Don't judge a man only by what he is but also by what he has done.We shouldn't ignore character though. Anyone can have skill and qualifications. Without character, the skills and qualifications are useless. |
dguyindcorner: chai!!! I can feel your pain bro.So you know the difference? Where is your 'convict' then? I bet your difference doesn't apply in your arrested 'governor', hypocrite. |
Randerl: ”...In 16 years hundreds of billions of nairaFashola did not buy a low-cost cement. Where will he get a low-cost turbine and gas to buy? |
MEILYN: Them try. So I go wait till I make am first before I go school. Why the rush? U go go school finish you no go get work. Right now am about 19 years of age, I work as a cashier in a big company at Mushin, I don't even have my papers I only have an Olevel. And am doing the job very well, even more than a graduate would do. Going to school is not a do or die affair, just try, if it doesn't work? Then you go and learn a handwork. Youths like me eeehnnnn. Make we plan our future well abeg. I also have a handwork, I can repair LCD and PLASMA televisions, I am a computer literate at my age. No knowledge is waste, get all the knowledge and it will come handy one day.Cashier work is not for graduates. Graduates are trained to use their brains not their hands. |
dguyindcorner: What has Omisore his opponent who has no Godfather achieved worthy of emulation?Only in Nigeria will a person being prosecuted for forgery be declared governor by Ayo Salami by canceling votes in 10 local governments. Only in Nigeria will a court rely on a forged document to make pronouncement. |
See this slowpoke defending a gruesome murder by attacking his own father. Doesn't your common sense tell you that the other party is dead (killed by his own son) and cannot defend himself anymore? Are you that daft to jump to a hasty conclusion of what led to the murder in spite of what you alleged your father did to you? Have you seen the bite mark on the self confessed murderer? Who says the old man was not trying to free himself from the lunatic son by "biting" him? Is the so-called "abuse" the reason why he had to cut his father's body into pieces and packed in a box too? Can you imagine these "over Western Uncle Toms" trying to import strange things to Africa? Who has ever defended murder in your Western sanctuary like the way you just did? Even Oscar Pictorius does not have a defender like this Wale Doors or whatever he calls himself. Whenever these approval-seeking-complexed guys want to impress their masters they must just talk down on their people. Your father smacked you while you were young and you turned out the way you are, and your father is evil? Sounds like the way Michael Jackson alleged his father "abused" him, yet his "non-abused" contemporaries would never, ever achieve a fraction of what that "abuse" brought out in him. Majority of Africans smack their children. Many will fall in line while some won't. Some parents will go overboard and abuse the method. It doesn't say non-smacking is excellent too. Yes, we can have a debate on physical abuse or corporal punishment, (the desirability, effectiveness, alternatives etc) but justifying murder this way should not be part of the conversation. |
oduastates: This one sound like a tomato seller in upper iweala or at mile -12 market spreading village square gossip than a top spy.Ogbeni, always do a simple study of anything before you come to your conclusion. It's better that way. Oyinbo have used our simple mindedness to do mischief and make money for millennia. Oyinbo people protesting abroad all have their various motives; some very egregious, some political, some for business etc. Don't bank on these guys much my friend. Imagine how much this woman has raised using Nigerian girls "plight". When you read this woman's story, you won't be surprised the role CNN played (and still playing) in the Chibok, "abduction tales." Oga, if you do not know, you better know now, Chibok girls "kidnapping" is one of the greatest conspiracies in human history. http://powderroom.jezebel.com/how-ramaa-mosley-and-girl-rising-tried-to-co-opt-a-move-1574111776 How Ramaa Mosley And Girl Rising Tried To Co-Opt A Movement |
sisnowee: Who told her Christians have to go to pastor for such, as Christian U can pray in the corner of Ur room and GOD will answer provided u have FAITH.White garment church members and some emotionally insecure women seek their pastors/prophets/prophetesses' prayers all the time. |
gratiaeo: I don't see Aregbesola a refrigerator repairer challenging this man in an open debateHe was Engr Rauf Aregbesola as commissioner for works in Lagos. He suddenly downgraded to Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as the governor of Osun State. Did he scam Lagosians with that 'Engr.' title then?
|
madridguy: I'm not moved with all these qualifications, if you like have Proffessor at the University of Heaven that I don't care. All I care for is good governance, most of our past hero don't have big qualification, but they will be forever in our mind base on the good things they left behind. Most of them had excellent qualifications. |
baby124: Families should stop hiding and ignoring mental illness. Get these people the help they need. RIP to the father.Well, when African families notice apparent strange behaviors in their children - God denial, effeminate behavior, etc - and try to take action, our all knowing 'super-advanced' Westerners tell us that we are living behind times. They tell us that these mentally disturbed guys were born that way. It's when it turns tragic like this that we are accused of not taking action early. |
masseratti: Do you guys understand what a regent mean?lol... They are mostly kids. |
SHAAWA: Nigerians or rather Sahara reporters I hail thee! You tried, but the CBN governor's appointment is tenured. CBN governor is appointed by the president subject to confirmation by the senate. He/She is appointed for a 5 year 1st term, renewable for another 5 year 2nd and final term as the case maybe. He/She can exit at 1) expiration of the 5 year single (or double) term 2) resignation 3) removal etc. Your "boss" exit/tenure expiration is not the same as your own retirement. |
