Niyinficient: Are you a learner here on Nairaland? Dont you know that any comment that is anti-Igbo will be assumed to be from an Afonja ni? Thats how the tribal blockheads roll. Anything that doesnt favour the igbos must have originated from an Afonja, and the Afonjas too, ready to pounce on any Igbo news like its party time. Two sets of confused ignoramus of the South. Are you not talking from both sides of your mouth? You blame some Igbo for their assumption and yet, you state that the "Afonjas too, ready to pounce on any Igbo news like it's party time". An average Nigerian has a hard time being objective, which paints a bleak future. |

Health › Re: Stroke Patient Dies In Lagos After Pastor Stopped Him From Taking Injection by poseidon12: 9:04am On May 31, 2018 |
nobilis: Hahahahahahaha. You see what I'm talking about?
Was the doctor taking instructions from the pastor? Did you read the article very well?
The patient's wife was the one making decisions concerning the treatment of her husband based on instructions she was receiving from the pastor.
Or you want the doctor to go against what the patient's wife is demanding so that if anything goes wrong, the doctor will still be blamed and then be sued??
You see? You didn't bother reading the article. And you're already blaming the doctor.
If the doctor goes against the decision of the wife to do what he knows is right for the patient and the patient doesn't make it, you will still come here and say the doctor should not have gone against the wife's decision and even call him a quack.
But he followed due process and actually treated according to the decisions the wife was making, yet you are still blaming the doctor.
What exactly is wrong with you Nigerians? You should not be making excuses for the Doctor. This was an emergency and no DNAR was presented. Just the wife telling the Doctor to wait for an approval from the Pastor. Doesn't make sense at all. That's a case of negligence right there. How many times do you hear of hospitals or Doctors getting sued in Nigeria? And hospitals in Nigeria generally pick and choose which cases to treat. We have heard a lot of cases of accident victims being refused treatment and subsequently dying. In Nigeria, people just act with impunity. No consequences at all. That is what is in play here. And the Doctor is even narrating the event as if it was a sports event. |

Romance › Re: Man Asks Lady To Return Iphone He Bought For Refusing To Date Him After 2 Months by poseidon12: 9:14am On May 30, 2018 |
donstan18: Why are you lots insulting and blaming the guy
The lady played her card well and the guy fell for it, she didn't force him to spend, she didn't blackmail him, she didn't steal from him, she didn't promise him sex for those expenses, she didn't promise to date him.
The only way the lady faulted was by accepting those gifts when she knew she wasn’t gonna date him, but all the same, it's optional to reject, it's still not a sin to accept it.

The guy shouldn't be blamed for any reason, he needed the lady, he wanted to get her at all cost, hence the spendings, but it didn't work out. Most of you condemning the guy and asking if he has gifted his mum can still do the worse to get a woman you want, that's the fact with men. A big FACT, so you all should stop forming baddoo and players on social media, we know ourselves in reality

In this case, support no one, blame no one. It'll be an embarrassment and a shameful act for a man to request back what he gifted a lady because she didn't accept him. It'll be a shameful act.
I think the question should be; If the said lady was your girlfriend, would you be happy if she dumps you and fall for another man because of gift?
No boyfriend will be happy if his girlfriend do that , so let's be real. The lady might be a materialistic lady, but she loves her boyfriend, had it being she dumped her boyfriend because of a gifted phone, na una go still condemn her for being a gold digger The guy actually deserves the criticisms he is getting. Most Nigerian men act very desperate when they are trying to get a girl. It's quite nauseating. He should have waited for the girl to accept his proposal for friendship before splashing her with gifts. He got what he deserved and should not be asking for the gifts to be returned. |

onatisi: There is something fishy about the story. The lady took the guy home ,her family objected due to one reason and 2 months after he got married to another lady!!! Does that mean he met the second lady within 2 months and quickly married her or he was dating her while dating the other other lady? Which means the guy is most likely a cheater and a liar. Secondly why the rush if everything is normal and he truly loves the lady? he could have waited and tried to reach a compromise with the lady family. Multiple relationship is common among Nigerians. Little or no trust. |

Seems you read a different report from what the lady narrated. The mom opposed the marriage when the guy refused to wed in the Catholic Church. How did you read about the mom looking for opportunity to sleep with the guy and being a shameless mother? Or are you talking from personal experience? |

Am sure her mum wanted her to marry Mr. A because his father is the senior Priest of thier church and she thought that her daughter marrying the Senior Priest's Son will boast image in front of her fellow mumu Women. Wrong. The girl's parents are Catholics and guy's dad is Pentecostal. Catholics hardly agree to marry outside the Catholic Church unless you convert to Catholic. So her mom opposed the marriage. |

Reference: But when the IG is summoned to the Senate by 'bloody civilians' and refuses to go you all hail him not knowing SARS operatives are watching and hailing as well. Now you're trying to drink water from the well you piss in. If your senior reps in government cannot hold the police accountable then expect much more. Throughout the past week on radio shows and phone in programs you hear folks who are obviously 'uniformed' men supporting police intransigence perpetuated from the top.
That is the society we ignorantly build for ourselves. In sane societies the police boss in Lagos will be appointed or elected by Lagosians, and accountable to them but the owners of Nigeria in their quest to control the citizens of the country through the apparatus of state resist this by all means. So instead of playing politics 24/7, Nigerians should demand to take charge of their lives. Once again, the policeman on the street is paid by you and is no better than the guard you have at your gate. Let us be free of this colonial mentality of citizen subjugation. They are paid to serve and protect. Stop suporting this system of government. Exactly. People get the leadership they deserve. The vocal majority of Nigerians are dumb and naive. Unfortunately, they keep dragging everyone down with them. I also observed with dismay how the fools were hailing the IGP (and insulting the Senators). And I wonder how they want the Police to be held accountable. Morons all over the place. |
