doctokwus: I don't know much about Magu's life history, apart from his detention at one time for seemingly being too diligent in his work, but hearing him talk sometimes gives one the impression of someone that has had some personal family tragedy arising from the corrupt deeds of some pple in high places and is therefore out to bring to book the corrupt and anyone that stands in the way of the corrupt being brought to book. Great. So he was detained. Was he by any chance represented by a lawyer? |

chukwudi44: Magu sto been stupid!!! go and make sure you get enough evidence before going to court and then they wont be anything this senior lawyers can do.The current EFCC would not carry out proper investigations but will rather be more concerned with newspaper propaganda and they expect to win cases like that!!! Bunch of nitwit. So you want the Judges to just say these men are guilty because the EFCC says so without conducting any trial!!stupid man Don't mind him. If he himself gets in trouble with the law, it would be interesting to see whether he will not run to the same senior lawyers to defend him. He's just trying to play to the gallery. |

a2personal2013: Nobody wants to speak because it's Obj. He is certainly immuned. He is the greatest hypocrite in this country. He thinks he is the only saint. The next excuse we will hear from our esteemed youth will be "where is the evidence".
We must not let these politicians, Gej, Obj or PMB fool us. We must continue to mount pressure on the govt so that we can get a better Naija.
I still have great hopes that Nigeria will be great again. Say no to these failed leaders. Most Nigerians are hypocrites and insincere ones at that. We really need a thorough probe of the federal government from 1999 to 2015 to collect most of the money that was stolen from Nigerian treasury. I believe OBJ stole much more than GEJ. |

Politics › Re: Again, States Seek Another Bailout, Osun Worst Hit by poseidon12: 9:34pm On Feb 14, 2016 |
The dysfunctional political structure we are operating is the main reason why most of the states are not economically viable. We need to implement the national conference recommendations so that we can have a true federal system in place. We also need to merge some of the states together. We should not have more than 10 states in Nigeria. |

Business › Re: CBN Bans Use Of Dollars For Overseas Fees, Medical Trips by poseidon12: 6:49pm On Feb 12, 2016 |
lookandlaff: Good move! One reason why our hospitals and schools are so bad is because those who have the influence to change things send their kids abroad or go abroad for treatments. If they are forced to use local schools and hospitals they will use their clout and put more pressure to get our local institutions fixed.
Just look at a school like Kings college, for all the highly placed people that has passed through it's walls, it's in that state because I bet you there is no KC alumni today that sends his son to KC. Everywhere else old students are a valuable source of pressure on government and keeping a school in good shape. All the billionaires, senators, chief justices that went to KC should be ashamed. They are the ones looking for forex to send their kids to secondary schools abroad. In a sane environment if you pass through an ivy league college you'd want your son to continue the tradition.
If you want to benefit other economies (by exporting our money to their hospitals and their schools) fine but source for your own forex, the govt wont subsidize you to do so. I agree with you. I think this is a good policy. |

doctokwus: These SC justices are a bunch of criminals. So they discarded reasons why the election was massively rigged and thus a sham and upheld Wike's fraudulent election just because they feel he wasn't given a fair hearing at the tribunal! If there was any further doubt that Wike bought his victory, then this clears it all. Nemesis would catch up with them all. There was once a SC justice from Benue state who was accused of being fraudulent by Salami of the appeal court.Just a few months down the line, after his(SC judge)retirement, his wife was killed by a falling tree in their family compound. God is not blind and his justice though delayed, but cannot be denied and it strikes at the heart of men!!! I guess by your flawed logic Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom and Ikpeazu of Abia state also bought their victories at the supreme court? Clap for yourself. |

Very lovely Family and the Son owns a fantastic restaurant in VI ...BUT if na our money dem chop ?they will have to vomit ALL of them. Yorubas don't condone thievery EVEN if it involves their own.......unlike DEM DEM!!! Yeah right. And yet they still remain loyal to Tinubu. Or you want to tell us Tinubu became wealthy through honest personal effort? When Bode George was released from prison after serving his sentence, the crowd that went to welcome him were mostly Yoruba. And before his conviction, during each court appearance, he was accompanied by a crowd of supporters who were mostly Yoruba. That good people protest against witch-hunting does not mean they support thievery. Can't some of you discuss without sounding tribalistic? |

gbokun: Something like this actually happened to me in July 2014, my Airtel sim just stopped working on a Tuesday. I thought it was network issues, by Thursday over #500k left my bank account. I raised alarm and d Bank was able to lien recipient accounts because the transfers was done within same Bank. In all I lost just the 60k that had been withdrawn through ATM. My bank informed me to visit my service provider b/c someone must had swapped my line for such fraud to have happened. On getting to Airtel shop at Iwo road Ibadan, I was told I needed a letter from the commissioner of police before they can release details of who swapped my line which I found ridiculous. I had to let the case go after getting #480k out of d money back and I had to report at work in osun. Since then i stopped using the useless network. I wonder what happened to data captured during sim registration and id card they collect So they did not arrest the owner of the account to which your money was transferred? |
