I have a friend with a similar story as yours. Himself and the lady were to meet his mom for the first time. He works in Abia while she is Lagos. They planned the process for two months, only for him to come down to Lagos and the babe disappeared into thin air. She reads his WhatsApp messages, didn't reply them and never picked his calls.

Long story short, she came back after four months begging for forgiveness. According to her, nothing happened but a wild guess says she got a distraction who disappointed her. She wanted them back at all cost, like nothing ever happened but man said he was done.

It is a common thing in LDRs. Either they get tired, have a rethink or find another person. Bottom line is: close the episode, count your losses and move on. The agreement was that after our wedding she will join me in Lagos which she agreed. I even had to get involved in a monthly contribution of 30k which is done in her workplace, I told her she should collect 2 slots so we can save enough for the wedding. She has never made any financial request that i did not grant.

Just two months ago she started acting all weird, I have asked her what the problem was and she would say nothing. She stopped picking my calls and told her parents I offended her, I called her to know what my offense was and she said I should forget. God knows I have never deliberately done anything to upset her. Just yesterday morning she called to tell me she is done with the relationship which left me so confused and devastated. I have already paid for cow and all the wines we will use for the wedding and now she has called it off.

Please nairalanders what could possibly be my offense? I have thoroughly searched my heart and I can’t seem to remember when I offended her.

Well, when a woman has decided to leave you, don't force it, nothing you do changes her mind especially when she's insistent. Look at 2baba now, na women dey fight on top am. Just have money and clean up, you won't even care about one of many who leaves you because you have many better choices to make from. The One my friend did, he did 100k contribution, has two slots while his fiancee had one slot and that was what they used to finance their wedding after one year. Just request to have your contribution money back and all others, and move ahead. Change is constant, anyone can change anytime for reasons best known to them, that shouldn't stop you two from been friends, and hopefully this makes you a better man from the position of strength.
