I have noticed this trend online in comment sections of blogs, and forums. The yorubas are becoming spokesmen of niger delta in the sense that they claim igbos are not indigenous to some niger delta states or they claim igbo groups deny their igbo ancestry therefore can not be said to be igbos, some even go to the length of opening monikers just so they can claim to be the said igbo groups and then deny their igbo heritage to support their evil plan.

Whenever these fake monikers deny their igbo ancestry, you see a 100 likes, but likes from who? The yorubas. They derive joy from it and this is what i term financial insecurity. Yes!

Some yorubas (not all) believe that without oil, a nation cannot progress and as we all know, the bulk of our oil reserves are located in the niger-delta, and in this delta, among the indigenes, the igbos are 40% of the population, meaning a big percentage of the oil reserves are located in igboland but out of envy the yorubas apply the evil divide and rule strategy just so they can bring rift between igbo groups in rivers/delta and their kit and kin in the south east. Their happiness is as long as the igbos doesn't gain from the oil, they are okay, forgetting that the Igbos are more than 25% of the population in Delta State and more than 40% of Rivers State also Traces of the Igbo culture and language could be found in Cross River, Akwa Ibom and Bayelsa States. Therefore the igbos can be said to be part and parcel of the niger delta.

We have every right to meddle in the affairs of the region. We have had thousands of years relationship and cultural exchanges with the ijaws, efiks, ibibios, ogojas. Among the ethnic groups, the igbos marry more with the efiks and ijaws, far more than the yorubas, the only reason why we hear often about marriages btw the yorubas and igbos is because of the rarity and also yoruba Men feel they have hit the jackpot when they marry an igbo woman.

All I'm saying is you cannot take away the similarities, friendship, brotherhood between the igbos and 'other' niger delta ethnic groups, mind you i said other niger-delta ethnic groups because the igbos are an ethnic group in the niger-delta and no amount of propaganda or divide and rule will change that.

Each time the issue of oil comes up, i begin to wonder why yorubas are really interested and each time an igbo from rivers or delta state comes out to claim his igbo ancestry and also solidify it, you see the yorubas trying to tell him he is wrong, if i may ask, can you call kwara an hausa state knowing fully well that yorubas represent a bulk of the inhabitants, or can you say an ijebu man is not yoruba even after they claimed to have immigrated from sudan. But when an igbo man fom an 'oil producing region' comes out and claim his igbo ancestry, you see them telling him he is wrong, opening different monikers just to counter him, for how long will this go on!

You cannot tell a baby hawk that it is a chicken and place it amongst chickens, when it grows older and wiser, it will end up eating the chickens you dragged it to live with.

Please yorubas get this very clearly, the igbos have every right in the niger-delta as much as the ijaws and, ibibios, urhobos and the efiks. You all claim ondo state oil production dwarfs the whole South Eastern oil production, we agree! but if you add the oil producing igbo communities in the niger-delta, it surpasses the oil production in the whole SW so what exactly are you trying to claim?

Stop disgracing your ethnic men and women, your actions imply that yorubas are silly scared of a disintegrated nigeria because the bulk of the oil lies in the east, therefore they can't stand a progressive Eastern region. You claimed cocoa built lagos, why not face it and believe that cocoa will also build ibadan to lagos standard.

Hate begets hate!

I rest my case.

In a divided Nigeria, Yorubas are better off with a SS/SE merger... Yorubas are just spiting you guys because of your obvious insecurity and attache by force. A country that put together the Ijaws and Igbos is an extension of Nigeria without the Moslem north. U can be assured of drum of war every time the Ijaws outsmart the Ibos for presidency , and u can say with all certainty that all other smaller ethnicity will rally behind the Ijaws every other time Ibos are in power...because the Igbos selfish heritage will always play out.

See nonsense wey you write? na ordinary tomato una dey cry for. The reason why GOD Almight will continue to bless the SW region is beyond your understanding so i wont waste much time explaining that to you. before the discovery of crude oil, Cocoa and Timber was once this country source of revenue and everyone benefited from it. Now oil is here them some region acting weird. Glory be to GOD for also blessing the SW region with such. The SW region now wants this country to break so that Evil people will leave our region becos the Evil in the biafrans is getting too much

Thank God lagos has oil now, you yorubas please face your region and stop meddling in the affairs of the igbos

Hate and Envy?

What did you hope to gain by starting this thread?

And what are the oil rich Itshekiris to Yoruba? Are they not related Yoruba groups in the Niger Delta too.

But do you see Yorubas acting so needy of them?

Do you see Yorubas typing We SS/SW like you lot type SS/SE, despite having Edo and Delta and parts of Bayelsa as former Western Region?

This part baffles me! The land grabbing attitude of you know who, is alarming.

The rivers divides are enough clear indication of the 'fault lines' if there should ever be a split, but some people are as blind as cataract itself.

You Evil igbos keep saying yorubas are bad, they are this they are that still yet, you wont want to leave us alone, you keep leaving your red mud region and keep flopping in their region, even apart from Lagos, you go to Ogun your people full dere, go to sabo in sagumu, the start up business dere without anybody hindering them, go to Ibadan, they plenty for shalenge doing business with no wahala still yet, they still carry Evil put for mind. It very really to see other region start up bussiness for east becos their evil people no go gree, go to calabar, you will find Yorubas dewling dere peacefully, go to the North yoruba doing their thing peacefully. Why is it that is only igbos they kill pass in other regions including PH? Becos their ways are full of evil and hared and the host community will be forced to act. Evil people

Frustrated IPOO miscreant from a devilish set of people, Igbos travel to Lagos to take advantage of Yoruba visionlessness, docility and gross ineptitude. About a century ago the Europeans competed amongst themselves in trooping to Africa.
That's business acumen and economic expansion at work!

Dimwit, you need to enrol in Business 101 to grasp the reason the Chinese, Lebanese, Indians, Americans and Italians troop to Lagos to create opportunities and conquer the land.

If you can't take it no more consider taking a walk to Ojota Motor park and board a bus back to your Oshogbo enclave!

Utilise your energies to transform your Brown roof republic. Focus on eradicating diseases associated with asbestos and zinc oxide.

You lots claim Yorubas had empires that cut across Nigeria, Togo and Benin. Why are the Yorubas in these countries not outstanding to project the countries to limelight? Same situation is applicable to the Hausas, Fulanis and Kanuris in Niger, Mali, Cameroon, Ghana and some other African countries.

Lagos and some other parts of Yorubaland in Nigeria are doing well because of the midal touch of Igboness.

It takes a determined and industrious people to leave their immediate environment and venture into a distant land and conquer it. A bunch of parasitic creatures would rather lazy around in their neighbourhood and depend on their parents for their survival.

You can see the result in the number of street urchins and area boys being bred by the Yorubas in the name of 'sophistication'.

We live in a global village that's why you see the Igbos, Chinese, Lebanese, Indians, Americans and Italians journey to Lagos to conquer the land.

You're pained that the Igbos would come into Lagos and out-compete you to your shame and chagrin. And now your unbridled greed led you to sell off your father's lands to the ever industrious Igbos and becoming tenants.

Little wonder many of you rarely believe one can achieve success save by ritual-killings and cannibalism aside the armed robberies, incests and juju prevalent in Yorubaland.

Kamoru, leave Lagos for Lagosians! Lagos is not your father's property. Lagos was devloped with the crude oil from another's backyard coupled with the sweats and bloods of tribes in Nigeria.
If you can't take it go back to your Oshogbo enclave.

Stop being tied to the aprons of your parents and go hustle outside. Be weaned from your parents and try venturing out so you can compete with other people.
Then you'll be able to find an idea you can live and die for.

It's so pathetic the way BFR makes you shameless minions convulse, portraying you hypocrites as being so inferior that you can't live by yourselves.
