mail your Dept to know your status, USASK give out admission/rejection starting from ending of February till March for Law and Engineering.

Yeah, I did! I got this reply

"I have not had a faculty requests for your admission. Your grades are decent and your application was rated as good.

We have made several admissions for September 2017 but will be making a few more in the coming weeks as the results of some external scholarship competitions are announced. We received a total of 375 applications and will admit 25 new students."

Don't know about other schools, but my file got to my Uvic supervisor recently. So, Uvic may still be deciding.

No news yet from UBC on my app. There was need for supervisor but I couldn't get one. So, I can say if UBC is still awaiting decision.

Like someone said, email your program coordinator and perhaps copy the administrator. Wish you the best.

Yeah, I mailed my dept @UBC, they gave a generic reply

"The department begins to evaluate applications in January and continues until the program is full, which usually occurs by late April. We make every effort to provide decisions as they are made, with the first offers going out in January and the first negative decisions provided during mid to late February. If you have not received feedback on your application by early March, it is still being considered for admission."

Meanwhile Uvic said "The MSc Industrial files are being reviewed. As of today’s date, there is no offer of admission. The files will be kept until the end of April at which time if there is no admission, they will be refused due to no supervisor being available."

Igbouwanile:

Even though you tried with the list of schools applied, you shud have concentrated on de less competitive ones 2 increase chances of admission.

All the same goodluck

I kinda considered some factors before settling for these

Uvic and Usask arent so competitive, I applied to UBC cozza the waived application fee for Nigerians

#got that from osemigho grin

Some other less competitive schools require hardcopy of transcript before dishing out admissions

Was supervisor a requirement?

If yes, did you get one before applying?

If yes, but you didnt get one, I think the first statement in the quote reflect the need for you to have one before applying.

Just be hopeful. All the best.

All the best.

It will end with praises.

just 25 needed? Canadian universities do have less available space for post-graduate students. why is theirs different from other countries like UK, US, New-Zealand, Austria, Australia and Germany that accommodate much PG applicants compared to Canada

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by akinola12345: 6:15pm On Mar 30, 2017
My reasons for refusal are: (1) I am not satisfied that you have sufficient and available financial resources, without working in Canada, to pay the tuition fees for the course or program of studies you intend to pursue
(2) travel history
(3) family ties in Canada and in country of residence
(4) personal asset and financial status.

It is paramount to your application as long as you have proven that you are employed and still in service.

Number 1 & 2 are partners & looks de easiest to tackle if u can offload ur full tuition bill, get ur 1 year expenses transferred to ur account. Then 3 has 2do wit who and what u filled in their form, number 4 not far from ur assets.

Did u make any payments b4 applying & hv funds transferred to u?.. wanna knw.

The way this guys de take tick these things eh! as if na de only work dem get.. lolz

from 2012-2017,what did you tell the VO you were doing? This is where the issue of ''personal asset and finance'' lies according to your profile.
secondary, the 40m+,how was these funds accumulated? b/c there's likelihood of lump sums or source of fund unknown/unclear to the VO and/or in addition did you provide proof of substantial documents of relationship with your sponsor?

For me, u av a good application financially and very strong hometies. You should be good with the balance u putting up. Are you a masters/PGD/PGC applicant? Is ur proposed course inline with your previous education and/or employment history? All these are important to consider cox if this part is not fulfilled by the applicant and convince the VO, 50M balance can't savage your purpose of visit. All the best.

@akinola12345... @ bold above is where the insufficient finance issues was drawn from.... I can tell!.. Even though your sponsor has the required funds to support you... You have not established the fact that you have access to said funds. (Proof of relationship.. Affidavit of sponsorship... Letter from sponsor and the likes)
Best of luck.

My advise: kindly follow @Eraytee notes!
Your financials though very essential is only 1 out of the many factors considered for a TRV.. Please look out also for the following:
Purpose of visit- comparison btw UG program or employment and proposed program

Economic and social ties -(family/assets/employment/pension)

Academics

SoP... Detailing Why Canada when same program is available in Nigeria.... After study plan

* declaring if you have been refused visa or entry to any country before.

With this... You should be good to go!
