Funny enof, that's what most of them shouting biafra carry about as belief.
They want to leave but others can't ask them to leave too.

That's why they can't achieve anything, the selfish manner in which they think

Guy, if it was so easy to invoke international laws against any country with respect to self-determination or getting a new homeland, the crises between Palestine and Israel would have been resolved long ago. shocked You chaps keep chanting international law, without referring to the specific law you are basing your hopes upon.

Secondly, it takes a long time to invoke a specific piece of legislation against a country - it could take years. sad Thirdly, if a country is not a signatory to a particular treaty or international law, you cannot invoke sanctions against it for an offence that breaches that law. You guys need to stop living in a fake paradise. undecided
Quick question, why did Russians allow Ukrainians access to their property in Crimea?, why were Georgians given access to their property in South Ossetia. There are international laws that has guaranteed world peace since World War Two Nigeria is too small for United Nations, remember Bosnian war. Biafrans just needs to know which buttons to press. This is not 1967.

Point Number 1: I am not an Igbo man, I am from the SS. Yes, I am a proud SS man, so I always tell people that I come from Oil. Now you know, that you have not be chatting with an Igbo man. So you see, I represent the real Biafran without the emotions of Ojukwu and the myopia of Nnamdi Kanu. I represent the other echelon that is erudite enough to research on an Economic Blueprint of how a country should work. I only invested my time to engage in this conversation because I HAVE TIME TO WASTE.

Our legislators are greedy just like your legislators. We do not even want any legislator that served in this corrupt Nigeria to hold any position in the JEWISH Republic of Biafra (hahahaha I like that JEWISH in the name). So, you see, Biafra will be a country dedicated to God. It will be a vibrant 21st century country powered by the finest brains.

Join me in thanking the LORD, for our Kingdom is about to come. hahahahahah

This thread hints at something but it misses a larger picture: in a hypothetical scenario where Biafra is actualised for Igbos it will fundamentally change the calculus for other Southern ethnic groups. Whether Igbos get to visit the rest of Nigeria in a post-Biafra world is a bit of a red herring.

Assume, for the sake of simplicity, that Nigeria has a population equally distributed among the 6 geo-political zones with the North having 50% of the population. A Biafra for Igbos could mean 1/6th of the Nigerian populace but, more importantly, 1/3rd of the Southern populace leaving Nigeria. This will radically skew political power to the advantage of Northern Nigeria (yes, not a cohesive region but exhibiting some degree of coordination by comparison to the South).

The North will constitute 3/5th and come close to (if not now but eventually with higher birth rates*) 2/3rds of the rest of Nigeria. The rest of Nigeria would be unquestionably a Northern and Muslim majority nation. In such a scenario, many of the Southern ethnic groups would not want to remain in Nigeria and this would accelerate further disintegration.

In reality, Biafra independence would cause absolute mayhem for everyone and to me would be impossible to execute (at least peacefully). It's clear that most intelligent people grasp this: indeed, anti-Biafra sentiments (amongst Igbos and non-Igbos) is driven not by any great sense that the Igbos or Nigeria will be a great loss but the apprehension that Biafra will precipitate chaos for the whole of the South.

*There is an argument that with higher birth rates, the "North" will be a more entrenched hegemony over time. Remember the saying, "demography is destiny."

That's why I have often said Nigeria cannot break into two. It is extremely naive to think so. It will splinter into several pieces like a broken mirror. You will look at it but you will not see your face. This is the reality coming.I support Biafra to the extent it makes us all return to the drawing board. Yes I am a unity begger-proud one at that. Unless our people become responsible and sit down to talk Biafra will bring calamity and devastation on all of us. All the blood sucking demons from the Deepest part of hell will swoop down and have a merry feast on us. Oyibo will trade arms and grow rich while we slaughter and kill each other. Remember Sometimes in April. God forbid. Think everybody, think!!!!

Have you ever heard of something called universal bill of rights? article 17 of the United Nations. Yes Nigeria is not signatory to it, ( what do you expect from a zoo?) but there is a clause which states that a non signatory countries can be made to abide by it if their actions is termed naturally unfair to humanity. And have you ever heard of sanctions?

Guy, If I did not control my discussion with you, you would have descended down to the kindergarten hullabaloo and I would not have forgiven you because I am gifted in 'bad-mouthism'. So, now we have made ourselves clear.

* Biafrans are not allowed to have their country because Nigeria needs Biafra, but Biafrans DO NOT need Nigeria, that is why they want to go. This is a fact that can not be disputed.

* Igweocha is Biafraland, the one we call Port of Harcourt or Porocourt like my Dad will call it in pure accent. Rivers is OIL/GAS

* Akwa Ibom's Philip Effiong surrendered after Ojukwu ran away(not as a coward but to live to fight another day), and Philip is from Akwa Ibom (RIP), and Akwa Ibom is the Richest Oil Producing State. So SS/SE are Historically, factually Biafran enclaves.

We are going to be a fucckingly rich and wealthy country. I can cry with tears of joy. Because I am sure of owning my personal OIL WELL.
You said Ojukwu ran away to live to fight another day? He ran and never returned to fight again. Ever heard of Hitler? I bet you have.

Mind you I have great respect for Ojukwu but let us state facts and not color events with sentiments.

And what is the sanction for non-adherence to the Universal Bill of Rights? In every member state, where there have been breaches to the articles of the Universal Bill of Rights, did the UN roll out the tanks or enforce some kind of punishment upon them? Please get real!! sad Go back and read that Bill of Rights and tell me, if every country that is a signatory to it has not breached (or is not continually breaching) any of the provisions of that bill, as at today. The UN has not yet invoked sanctions against any of its member states, for breaches of that bill. So think again.

It is this sort of OP reality check that Igbos hardly accept. They want to have a Biafra but at the same time have the ability to stroll in and out Nigeria at their pleasure with an Okene Dilli Chwkwu night bus.

It's not as easy as you make it though, especially if the Nigerian Government is antagonistic towards Biafra, this is why Nnamdi kanu's method is unreasonable, calling Nigeria a zoo to get Biafra is not the right step, his agitation should have been centered on referendum alone putting pressure on the lgbo leaders and lnternational community rather than declaring for arms(guns and bullets) and referring to Nigeria as a zoo. He's making it seem he is ready for war thereby making enemies of the same Nigerian Government that could make the Biafra dream come true easily.
A nation whose leaders behave like animals in a Zoo and you wish NK should behave like a licka*ss like somepeople in the SW abi? And mind you those SE leaders are nt exempted from the zoo title. We dont sugarcoat anything, word for word, NIGERIA IS A ZOO!

The United Nations will never support further balkanization of African states in Africa! Period, They will rather support that Nigeria ratifies her constitution & strengthens her institutions, through monitoring of our democratic processes & technical support to achieve high levels of equity & justice, if Nigeria were to break up it was supposed to be 10years ago. But not today.

Nigeria will not beak up. Hell No! But Biafra will secede from Nigeria and Nigeria will remain a lost Glory. A Big for nothing vegetation for cultivation and fertilization of corruption.

Even the Buharis of this world could not rid the country of corruption, so my friend tell me the truth, WHO WILL BELL THAT CAT ?
