Hello,

Please I have some questions as regards ACS assessment.

1) can I use my NYSC work experience, I did my skill related job?

2) can I use work experience for company that has shut down, I have detailed exit letters, payslips for when I was there?

3) do I need to ask my school to send my BSc transcript, although I have an original copy I used for my MSc application but it has * for the MSc school name* faintly stamped on it. Can I still use it.

4) can I include 3months work experience?

2) can I use work experience for company that has shut down, I have detailed exit letters, payslips for when I was there? YES, if you have the shutdown details too, like newspaper publication or internal memo, you can add it also

3) do I need to ask my school to send my BSc transcript, although I have an original copy I used for my MSc application but it has * for the MSc school name* faintly stamped on it. Can I still use it. YES you can use the one with you, ACS only needs a digital copy

4) can I include 3months work experience? YES, as long as you have the required supporting documents

Good morning house... Thanks to everyone who has contributed in one way or the other to the success of this thread. I wish prospective applicants the very best.

After several hours of reading and researching with the resources on page 0, I've come to the conclusion that getting PR as a medical practitioner particular as a medical doctor is quite cumbersome and expensive.
Getting fully licensed alone is one heck of a journey and I guess it's the reason lots of Nigerian docs are not considering this route.

I'm so disappointed cry

I feel you bro...I'll advice you never to be disappointed. I believe if you tailor your JD (job description) to suit a closely related field or occupation e.g Pathology collector etc. You stand a better chance. Giving up is never a good option.

Does it mean that people who didn't go to school at all but have trained as a cabinet maker and has trade test certificate can't fly?
Ytechconst:

Firstly I’d advise you assess base of any field you have a 2-3years formal education in the trade from a technical school because TRA mandates you have a formal education in the trade aside trade test certificate.

Also on challenge with assessing for Plumbing field is that you are required to travel down to one of the OSAP recognized country like South Africa to have a practical assessment and that might cost a lot of time and resources. So I’d advice you look through the requirement for welders field.

Visit the TRA link below:
https://www.tradesrecognitionaustralia.gov.au/programs/migration-skills-assessment

I actually assessed for Cabinetmaking and all I submitted was my Trade Test Certificate 3&2, Technical College Diploma and National Technical Certificate all in Furniture Craft and Cabinet Making that I’ve earned as far back as 2003. Then a job reference letter, pay slips for the past 10years, LIRS tax card.

With all the above after 3months of filing in for assessment I was asked to contact my technical school and also the federal ministry of labour and productivity that issued my qualifications to send them a verification email confirming I earn my qualifications from them, I did as they requested and in a week time I got positive assessment.

Flinders University launched a work based assessment program for foreign doctors looking to migrate to South Australia last year. You get to work in regional/rural hospitals South Australia and you will be assessed on the job to get your practice licence.

You may have a look and submit an expression of interest

Hello house,
This is directed to ACS guys @Alphadoor, @TRed,@Azy123, @trastar kindly help guys

I have submitted my document for assessment with ACS
I got a mail from the assessor 2 days ago telling me to submit another Reference letter
The issue was that i have been working in the same company for the past ten years
with 3 different positions , on my reference letter i put just one job description for the 3 positions (junior system and networks engr, system and network engineer and Lead system and network engineer)
so i was told to state the job description for the 3 different position separately on the reference letter.

I would like to send you guys a copy of the new job descriptions for proof reading before submission .
Thanks in anticipation. @Alphadoor,@TRed,@Azy123, @trastar

Kindly pm your email.

It's been 70days I applied for my TRA assessment, should I request my school to send a verification mail confirming my qualifications or wait till I am contacted by TRA?

Thank you.

Just be patient for TRA, if they are not able to get through to your school they will definitely get back to you to contact your school requesting that they send a verification email to a specified email address.

Thanks a lot

Techengine:
My friend Bnimz has always wanted me to leave Nigeria/Africa since he was in the UK but I didn’t take him seriously until sometimes in August 2017 when he told me that he’s now a permanent residence in Aussie. My brain opened immediately. He gave me options of studies, Canada and Australia and because I was desperate to leave, I started working on all the options.
My first Ielts (LRSW 8,8,7.5,6.5) was in September 2017. I did Academis because I thought I could use it for the three options but the result could only work for school. I got engaged the same month and dropped the idea of school because I was not ready to leave my babe behind.
I worked on my CDR and paid for Engineer Australia Assessment (Fast Track) with materials and guidance from Bnimz and my babe as proofreader in November 2017. I did my best on the CDR and was expecting a direct positive assessment. Also with counsel from Bnimz, I paid for PTE and was preparing. I got late to the exam hall for my first PTE and was not allowed to take the test. 52k wasted. I almost wet my trouser with wee wee. I gathered another 52k and paid for another PTE the following week. The result was terrible. The same week I got the result, I was contacted by my CO from EA and he requested for two additional CDRs. I literarily gave up at that time. Nothing seems to be working.
I gathered courage again in January and decided to prepare for IELTS because it appeared simpler to me. I wrote 2 more CDRs and submitted (not expecting anything good). I got positive assessment from EA on lovers day 14th February 2018. It rekindled my hope again in Australia but I was more focused on Canada.
My second IELTS was in April 2018 (this one pain me enhh). I had LRSW 8.5, 8.5, 8, 6.5. I almost ran mad. I was never good at English, especially writing but I thought I prepared well. I was sure my marked would increase so I sharply requested for remark (na IDP so it cost 45k). Painfully dem chop my 45k laidat. I cried liked David of the bible and encouraged myself in the Lord. I registered for another IELTS immediately and got May 12.
I need a new paragraph for this story… I didn’t mention all along that I’m working in Ghana and have to travel to Nigeria by road (as I no get money for flight nko) to take all of those exams. IDP did not fix date for my speaking until less that 24 hours before the test and I was in Ghana. I had to beg my boss and colleague to cover for me and travel that very night (night bus). I got to Ikeja around 11am or so and was given just 10 minutes to rest before going in for my test. I sha did the speaking test with a very tired voice and forced smile. Shebi it remain LRW laidat. It was May 12 and it was a bad day devil drink water (Yoruba people will understand). I got to the exam hall as early as 7am and the exam didn’t start till about 10:30am. Meanwhile I spent most of the time standing on queue. I was already tired when I entered the exam hall. We couldn’t start with listening because their speaker no dey work properly. They sha forced us to start with reading after which we did writing because the speaker was not ready. About 12pm when we wanted to do listening finally, rain started falling so we had to wait for rain to stop. No food lataaro, everyone was tired and agitated. In fact a pregnant woman passed out while we were waiting and was rushed to the hospital. We sha later did the rubbish listening like that and I was sure I wont get up to 8 because the speaker still didn’t work properly. I cried at Ojota bus stop that night because I thought I’ve wasted another 68k. But the miracle working God I served stepped in and helped me. I had LRSW 7.5, 9, 8.5, 7. Ni 10 point ba pe.
I didn’t know much about 489 so I begged for help on nairaland and god sent an angel, IFUNNAYA. She introduced me to this wonderful group. Spongbob was beyond helpful. He gave me all the things I needed to apply and encouraged me all the way. I applied on 11th of June. I quickly organized a small registry wedding with my babe on 5th of July and was nominated on 23rd of July. Lodged visa on 15th august and medicals 20th August. With prayers and a lot of prayers, We got direct grant yesterday 7th August 2018 and IED is 20th August 2019.
I hope my story will help/inspire someone. PLEASE DON’T GIVE UP. If I could do it, YOU, yes you too can do it
Can I contact you?

Hello guys,

I am applying for Australian work VISA, the agent from my employer in Australia said that the DHA requires that my Police Clearance Certificate must include both my maiden name and current name. The issue now is that the police department insists that they only issue certificates with the names written on one's passport. Has anyone had this problem?
Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by olystic: 6:12pm On Apr 02, 2019
Ytechconst:

Sure you have it all, just gather your NABTEB certificate, Trade test certificates, College Diploma, Technical College Testimonial and download NBTE curriculum online to attaché as well.

For your employment history get a reference letter from you employer(you can contact me privately for the template in used), pay slip for preriod of employments(January,June and December for each year), Tax cars and print out of tax history showing past 3years tax(mind you you earnings per year depict on the reference letter should correspond with that on your pay slip and tax history, then passport data page.

After gathering all the documents cross check the requirements via TRA check list and make payments, then go ahead to send your filled application form with documents and payment proof to specified TRA email then wait till TRA responds which usually take maximum 90days. But during the period you can try and make contact with your technical school because they’ll try to contact them or rather request you contact your school to send a verification email confirming you underwent your training with them.

please can you share a copy of the employment reference letter you used . olystic4real@yahoo.com
