How can a healthy child still under the care of her father ask the same man to go wash his plates? Chai! It's the highest of disrespect. Which feminism class do you belong to because to the best of my knowledge, most girls(naija girl) who claim to be feminist believe that men should be doing those things they, before now considered as women's word at home. Works like helping the man to wash his cloths, removing and washing plates used to eat by the man, cooking etc.
Unfortunately they are yet to tell us when they will start given us transport fare when we go on a date, take full responsibility of providing for the family, asking our parents for our hands in marriage, etc

Ok. You see this phrase 'if necessary' is a big blanket covering all manner of events that can justify such requests but outside it, nothing justifies such stupidity. The story would have indicated what might have precipitated here request but it didn't. This shows that nothing prevented her from doing it and I want us to accept that nothing prevented her from doing it. In this scenario, what will you have done as her father?
I know you want to sound different from others but you have to understand that others considered that nothing hindered her from doing it or postponing the dishes as opposed to her asking outrightly.
