This kind of question is rubbish. How much you earn and marry with is relative to where you are coming from. If you are coming from certain families even 500k a month may not be enough but for some even 15k can be managed.You can't tag a girl who is coming from a family earning excess of 10m monthly snubbish or whatever if she says maybe I can't marry someone who earns 200k a month which is a goldfield to some. But if she can it is alright but that shouldn't be a yardstick for judging other girls on their suitability of a wife material in the same situation who can't.

I know you're bringing in your situation as a case study, but don't ever say that someone earning 30k is better off. Those people you're helping in your family won't be in that situation for life. God that gave you the grace to earn 250k can still make you earn more and bless others around you. Yorubas say "nitori ọpọ eyan laṣe da e lola" which means "you're blessed in order to help others". Always remember this.

What about converting the 30k to 3 million if he's serious...

If the wife works too and they live simple lives, they may be just fine. He who earns 30k and lives on 20k monthly is richer than he who earns 100k and lives on 100k monthly. Richness is all about surplus.

That term "Simple Life" no longer exists in Nigeria. PHCN monthly bill alone will zap out a third of the 30k. What you term simple life is actually surviving to exist!

men that earn 10k monthly marry, talk more of 30k that’s even too much

marrying a man of that class is not a problem because, it's biblical for woman to be a support to the husband, so i'll be supportive to him. but there are some questions that would need to be answered by the man, 1. is the man ready for marriage, 2. iis he extravagant, 3, does he have a drinking,, smoking, womanizing, too fassionate and more habits that would likely drain the small income, 4. does he have more financial responsibility to either family or friends, 5. does he have intention of expanding his income? if answer to this questions are positive then, YES i can marry such fellow.

State Government.... That was entry level then around January 2014 when i got the job.. Married a year after January 2015

My wife and I were Youth Corps members when we got married. This was in 2014....though we had a private business we've been running since 2011.

On the average, our take home at the time was just above N30, 000.00.

The ladies that will marry a guy earning 30k are not on nairaland. My friend once employed a guy part time(14days a month, 6hrs a day) and she was paying 15k. When she learnt he was married with 2 kids and didn't have any other job, she had to increase it to 20k and later to 24k. As he started earning 24k, see as the guy begin shine, adding weight, changing clothes etc. We later asked him how he was doing the magic, o boy, see economics masters. Too bad he had to be sacked when business couldn't stand against the harsh economy. Surprisingly, he had saved enough in his local meeting to collect a loan and buy an okada.
