Lol, Buka Buka.. cheesy

As you don involve God for the matter, you must also know that the spirit of God is not partial. If God was indeed involved and spiritually led a man to choose a soulmate, then there would absolutely be no need for him to chase that lady in futility, or 'extra' as you put it.
Do you know why? Because God would have also ministered to the woman and made it known to her beforehand that the man is indeed her man, and she will as a matter of fact be 'easy' (for lack of a better word) to succumb.

The chase, extra chase, excessive chase is NOT the will of God, Allah, or Sango, or of a man, or even of Satan. grin
It is only in a woman's interest to be chased, begged, cajoled, and wooed excessively - It certainly provides some sense of worth and importance I imagine.
It does not work that way.

It is also possible that the lady the guy is shown is not his standard and he fights it for a while.

Sometimes, it is the lady that is shown the man and she has to subtly convince him to meet her.

Even for relationships where God leads them to their spouses, they still need to work at it.

There is just a certain assurance that your efforts are not in vain and some issues will not crop up.

Yes of course, and mostly after their desired/preferred men who are better off financially have blanked them or kept them waiting for eternity, they had to borrow sense and go for the available instead of waiting and fantasizing about the desired that is out of their reach wink

Bukatyne there is no point arguing this, the ways of God are not partial. I have seen and heard of so many cases of men who claim God told them a certain woman will be their wife only for the woman to turn him down simply because she has not received such ministration from God, as she should.

It does not matter whether the woman is his standard or not because when God is involved, there is really no need to fight for it or being convincing because God is perfect and just and has done all the fighting and convincing on behalf of everyone involved.
A spiritually mature Christian man would even pray for God to make his steps fruitful by making the sister pliable to his request - this is why such ventures should always go smoothly.

Working at relationships after they have begun is not the subject of our conversation here, we are talking about the meeting/courting/wooing phase.

lol, pretty, young white girls are the highest gold diggers lol.....they date only their school mates who are also white guys, but if you as a black guy want to date pretty, young white girls from quality family background, then you must be a rich sportsman or an entertainer, or a successful surgeon, if not, na the old fat ones you will end up with, ask anybody else that have lived abroad about this.

As a black guy living abroad, you can always get sexy looking Haiti chicks, Jamaican babes, Black Americans, plump Latino babes, etc....but if you want sexy looking, young Caucasian chick from a good family background, then you must know who you are grin grin
I was actually just joking. I don't stay in Nigeria as well lol grin Have a nice day

There is a difference between poor, broke educated dude who has not landed his dream job or just got a let me manage job and an uneducated, no vision broke dude.

Ideally, I do not advise people to marry outside their spectrum. I have said it here severally that I can neither marry an uneducated mechanic nor can I marry a Governor's son except I am led that either is my husband.

I have nothing in common with either of them. The mechanic might tell me that it is a sin/ laziness to use washing machine; the Governor's son might tell me that he wants a party or there is nothing wrong in taking coke.

I know this is a generalization before people eat me raw.

So I think it is over ambitiousness for a guy/lady to marry far outside their spectrum. (except led of course.)

If a man is genuinely convinced that Sister XYZ is his wife, I doubt he will leave her half way because she has not accepted him.

Yes, he will pray to God for help and get tips however, he will do the actual wooing.

Look through the Bible, all the men that got wives from God still wooed the wives themselves.

If you think because God said 'it is done', it becomes immediate, you are on your own.

This is what happens when people put themselves on a pedestal for no other worthy reason except having pum pums.

You don't have the patience to indulge, chase, or beg, it's because you have an ego.
You want to have some financial legroom before embarking on relationships because women require it, you have low self-esteem.
You speak about the realities as they are, and you're being disrespectful, bashful, & insulting. cheesy

The princess-complex is as real as it comes.

@ uninspired07, I hope you have been able to pick relevant points from both sides regardless. Just understand that there is nothing wrong in wanting to develop your finances, or in lacking patience with women who have no obvious interest in you. The best woman to be with is that one which presents you with the least amount of work/obstacles/roadblocks in winning her over, simply because she is already won over in some small measure of her own accord.

Developing yourself should be your ultimate goal in life FOR YOURSELF, not because you need it to be better in the eyes of women. Also, making just any woman or every woman feel good about themselves is not your job - there are already multitudes of men doing that. You only just need to find that ONE woman who has a mutual interest in you, hit it off, and make her the object of all your attention and devotion. What every other one thinks is really not your concern.

Cheers.
Very smart of you.

Like the OP went on to say, women would like either attention or financial stability. This buttresses the saying that goes thus: with everything we do, there are other things left undone.

Wanting both is looking like an impossible thing to give with the unfolding realities in today's society.

Economy is hard, male folks are trying to up their game, so they try to avoid women who wouldn't be helpful in achieving that goal or who may not be patient enough to see that ambition materialize.

Or they give them attention and after sometime, they no longer measure up to new realities because things have changed.

Finding balance in these extremely polarised life is not easy to come by, men, women, feminists of both gender should be able to see through these and not how bashing or not it is.

They have been more worse things on NL than this one.
