First off, only God truly forgives... A man (A real man) can try to forgive a cheating partner, but he will never forget or move on. NEVER!!! Go ask around, if you doubt me.

As painful as it is, this is better off for both parties. That marriage would have been a catastrophe of distrust, suspicions, deceit, and rancor leading ultimately to divorce or even violence... But I don't agree. I think the relationship is better called off. The woman probably went into the illicit relationship with the mindset that she forgave her partner once and so expects to be forgiven on that score.

Cheating is not just anything that happens in a relationship. Argument, insults, can happen and be forgiven without me having any problem with it. But cheating is bad. If he forgives her, they would have it at the back of their minds that cheating should be forgiven and this would further encourage them to go on a cheating spree.

That the woman wants forgiveness simply because she forgave the man when he cheated shows that she feels she is entitled to his forgiveness. And that is bad. She would have gone into the marriage with that mentality. He will forgive me if I cheat because I forgave him when he cheated. That is a license to cheat.
