Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu who shared the story online, said the lady claimed to have stolen the milk so she could feed her hungry child.

This is hunger induced stealing. I wish there's a way to reach out to her. I will send a token also. This is not a way to encourage stealing but I have passed through hard time while in school. It takes not just proper upbringing to stay strong but audacity to HOPE.

The activist that posted this, she is a disgrace to womanhood because she of all people shld understand the disgrace, and the supermarket shld be sue for taking law into their hand, this lockdown is really demoralizing pple but that can't be a yardstick to stealing but there should be a better way to handle this.

it happened in agbor and I've been to that supermarket severally, the supermarket owner should be arrested not for assault but for defying state govt order of lockdown after all those items she stole weren't stollen from a pharmacy. I have also reached out to the family of the lady and would ensure Human Rights personnel go clamour on her behalf, she could sue them and say she accepted stealing under duress

That supermarket should be blacklisted. The owner has no human sympathy at all especially this lockdown period. She was on her kneel begging you ,yet you still went ahead to humiliate her . You are a disgrace to Agbor people.. As a protest to his action, let us boycott that shop for the next one month, let's see if he will not come online to apologize or not.

Its really commendable that a lot of people here see this inhumane treatment for what it is. Now, what can we do about it to send a message to the wicked people who took the law into their own hands to unleash jungle justice on a woman who stole FOOD?
Left for me, if possible, I would have found this woman and personally donated money to her.
What do you guys say? How can we make this work to demonstrate our disagreement with this type of justice?
