Another one was taking some supposed ororo from my German boss kitchen to make stew at home.

Ol'boy,I make bachelor stew finish come boil rice come relax to attack buh,chai!!!! The taste of the stew was from planet Mars. I later realised the ororo wasn't ororo o,but was olive oil!!!!!! Chai!!!!! Budget stew cast be dat again!!!!!


Again,I love Moi Moi a whole lot. Na so I arrange beans inside water say,ok,I'm gonna make prepare this myself.
Had a blender then. After soaking and washing and NEPA was gracious to give us 'light", oya,put the ewa inside blender and power on. Never knew not all blender can blend beans. Na so engine of blender knock and GbosAAAAAAA,the thing blow!!!!!
Chai!!!! Imagine all the efforts of soaking and washing and now the budget ewa is bad!!!

I was remembering this yesterday. While undergoing I.T. training in 2006, I wanted to cook roasted rice (rice + bean cooked together) and I didn't have salt. I went straight to Mama Kafaya room to collect her bottle of salt only to discover that I put detergent in my food when the boiling rice was foaming. I was a terrible experience that night, as I didn't have any other thing to eat and I haven't eaten anything since day break.

I brought the rice and beans down from stove, washed and washed and manage to eat it that way.

The first day I prepared stew back in school days.
I prepare the stew fine and good oo before one devil whispered to me add crayfish you forgot crayfish, I took crayfish container and behold there was plenty of crayfish in it, I decided to fetch good amount of it, now my mistake

I never knew I was suppose to like hit the crayfish to disintegrate, I added the crayfish like that, and they where big big cray fish, u need to see the way all the crayfish where floating on top the stew

In the middle of cooking, kerosene got finished. Hurriedly went and bought fuel instead of kerosene.

After refilling, I started looking for matches o. Went to my neighbour to borrow, she came out and perceived the fuel fumes... lol. She asked, who's dealing with fuel around?
That's when my senses came back to factory setting.

biggest mistake was not making enough jollof rice for my invited dinner guest to take home with her.

Mine was cameroun pepper. I cooked indomie and added three 'ten naira' own. I did not know what made me experiment with three, but i think what pushed me was how beautiful a cameroun peppered indomie looked like. But this one was truly a definition of not all that glitters is gold.
I swallowed the first, second and third spoon successfully. It was when the fourth hit my throat that i discovered tears was slithering down my cheeks. I started feeling hot all of a sudden, i pulled off my shirt, seems it got worse. Then i commot boxers, no improvement. I now said let me go outside to receive fresh air if it will be better, no way. I con dey ask myself, is this how people go mad?
Well i took a very cold bath and i got really better. So, at the end of the day i went back to finish the food. It looked so beautiful.
What doesn't kill you, only makes you stronger right?

Cooked beans while sleepy. I can't forget that day in a hurry. Prepped beans in my kitchen and laid on the bed to sleep. I was starving and sleepy at the same time and knew I'd have nightmares if I skipped dinner.


Not too long, my entire apartment was engulfed in smoke from the burning beans and I had no idea. I had not slept for two straight days over an exam I was preparing for and I had not the faintest idea what was happening in my kitchen.

My neighbours noticed the heavy smoke filtering from my apartment, banged on my door repeatedly, only for me to wake up drowsy, walked to the door and told them I was doing it on puporse, then went back to sleep!

My kitchen was near flames that day. I luckily got up later when the noise was much outside my apartment. My neighbours were staging a break in as they suspected all wasn't well. Strangely, I got up and went to the kitchen, put out the gas then went back to sleep.

I slept through the smoke, didn't choke or cough for a minute. I couldn't believe my eyes the next morning. The burnt beans was rock solid burnt in the pot that I had to throw the pot away.

no be small thing ooo naso I want cook beans for house, after the beans don soft na e I discover say palm oil no dey house...even groundnut oil don finish, so I go mumsy room carry her mountain of fire anointing oil pour inside beans, my people the beans sweet die, when mumsy come back she balanced and eat white beans, later that day evening na e she discovered say her OIL dey miss she ask me, I tell her the truth, for good two weeks mumsy no follow me talk for house

That is how i was cooking beans in the dark. Took a sachet of detergent and started sprinkling thinking it was Dangote salt. This one no get " lets manage". Had to throw everything away.

I felt there wasn’t much salt to the rice and kept adding salt till I felt satisfied. Rice was ready and everyone had to saved their lives first instead of dying from too much salt in the liver.

Too many I can’t remember them all now .
