Are you asking this question? The west puts culture and education ahead of religion. Reverse is the case for the north. Hausa language does not even have word for God. Except the Islamic word. Culture has been lost to Arabian culture.

I am sorry for what you had to pass through. I had to take a day off work to join the protest. The gridlock is VERY important to this cause. I have walked long distances because of the gridlock. But is very important that this gridlock persists in this situation.

I find it disturbing that there can’t be absolute silence in the crowd for this.

Vast majority of the youths of this Nation don’t have the mindset it takes to pull it from underneath the rubble of misfortune the older generation has put it. This set of youths just want to rave at every given opportunity, irrespective of the situation.

Well there is no other choice it’s definitely going to be a trial by fire but I’m sure we would get there. Brace yourself.
Stop talking. Una too dey speak too much English. We don't need talkers at the moment. We need doers. Get your ass off that keyboard and put on some candle for the deceased!!

I only had Two persons on that list before. One pastor and one business man.

It is becoming extremely expensive in this country to do the right thing. Wickedness and share barbarism has been enthroned.

I was my bed after Friday's aluta. I thought to myself. What country would my children live in if people could waylay travelers now, kidnap them, demand for ransom, get the ransom and still behead them. If people could be murdered in their farms. If I could prefer to be robbed than to go to Nigeria Police if I have substantial cash. Can I even give my children the kind of life my parents gave me? If minimum wage could be 30k and a bag of rice is now 38k. And I was more angry when I saw the graphic images of protesters in Edo that were injured and murdered.

I know for sure that if we continue like this, my unborn children would eventually be living like a slave in their own land.

Politics › Re: Richest States In Nigeria By GDP Per Capita by Powersurge: 9:46pm On Oct 16, 2020
ChrisOD:
Overall GDP, and GDP per capita, respectively, are theoretical measures of a country's overall wealth, and the proportion of that overall wealth that an individual citizen of a country gets per annum. In reality, what amount each citizen gets in Nigeria better tells, again theoretically, how well off each state citizen is (or should be) doing.

These are the seven richest states in Nigeria by per capita according to wikipedia (check out each state in wikipedia)

1. Delta
Overall GDP: 16.75 Billion

Per capita:$3,990

2. Rivers

Overal GDP $21.07 billion
Per capita :$3965

3. Lagos

Overall GDP: $33.68 billion
Per capita: $3649

4. Edo

Overall GDP: $11.89 billion

Per capita: $3623

5. Imo
Overall GDP $14.21 Billion
per capita: $3,527

6. Cross River

GDP $9.29 billion
Per capita: $3150

7. Abia

Overal GDP: $18.69 billion
Per capita $3003
OP where did you get this gibberrish from? Firstly, Lagos does not have $33b GDP. Lagos GDP is over $100b. It is the fifth Largest economy in Africa for a reason. And over 30% of the country's

Secondly, at $33b, the let capita GDP would be $1,600 not $3,600.

May your bloods continue to torment those who sent you to your early graves. May the spirit of death follow them up to the Fourth generation.

For those "soldiers" who have been murdered during this protests, may God receive your souls and grant you eternal peace. You died on your feet. You did not die cowering.

To those of us still breathing, we know that one day, we will leave here. Let's live as though that day is near. Stand as men and women against injustice. If you think NIgeria is hell now, imagine what it would be eventually if you do nothing.

I wanted to rest tomorrow. But after I saw the picture of those injured and killed in Edo, I must hit the street again tomorrow.

Lekki protesters have being instrumental. They need to put and end to this beauty nonsense. This is not the time for felicitation. People are dying. Corrupt politicians are fighting back. We need to make them get the message.

Imagine a country where minimum wage is 30k (audio) and a bag of rice is 36k.

A yahoo boy is committed to prison but the people that turn him into yahoo boy by their actions and inactions are driving Bentleys with maximum security.

A senator receives 29 million Naira monthly. Apart from the millions he steals every year. At minimum wage of 30,000 (audio minimum wage), it will take an individual over 80 years to make 29 million Naira. That's if he is saving everything without removing Kobo.

Yes he may not. But I bet either him or a top ranking officer in Lagos State Government is aware. This people came with brand new BRT bus. LASG doesn't rent BRT out. Neither does it use it for anything outside its primary purpose. Someone approved it. Assigned a driver to drive them there. And ordered the police there to stand down. I wanted to involve Tinubu but I want to ASSUME that he wouldn't be that petty.
Politics › Re: EndSARS: Is It Right For Protesters To Block The Roads? by Powersurge: 11:12am On Oct 16, 2020
Blue3k:
No it's illegal to block the roads. When they caught they should be arrested and charged accordingly. They can practice civil disobedience if they want but there's consequences. They don't own the street so they cant block it.
At this point I don't care about your age. because I am certain you are older than me. But you are HIGHLY delusional. And you are not in touch with the reality in today's NIgeria.

If you define right or wrong in the light of a yahoo boy (not supporting them) and arrest them and out them to jail, and refused to put the man that stole billions to death, then you need to see a psychiatrist.

You are talking about blocking road in a country where minimum wage is 30k (most states are not paying yet) and a bag of rice is 36k. In fact you must be very mad.

Politics › Re: EndSARS: Communique From The Governors’ Meeting With IGP by Powersurge: 5:25pm On Oct 15, 2020
Do you know how long Nigerian youths have being complaining to government about SARS excesses? This people harass, maim, extort and kill at will. They will tell you if they kill you nothing will happen. And behold, nothing will happen.

Several false promises from police hierarchy about this SARS. Including the present IG. They speak from both sides of their mouth.

These folks will take you to ATM and withdraw money b4 they let you go. They kill people in their cells with impunity.

NIgerian youths do no longer blv govt. No matter how you tell them about injustice, they will just allow time to pass over it. And that will be it.

There is no police station in NIgeria where bail is free. The police know it. The lawyers know it. The people know it. Yet police will keep telling you bail is free.

Business › Re: How To Access The N50billion CBN COVID-19 Loan by Powersurge: 3:30pm On Oct 15, 2020
Jonwesley:
PROCESS
Step 1: Get Trained
It is mandatory for all applicants to attend training with a CBN certified Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), they have centers spread across the country.
Look for an accredited EDI around your location and get trained. The Certificate from the training is your target, because without it, you are not qualified to apply.
The Business plan will be part of the training from the EDI, some centres help write the Business plan for applicants at a fee. The Biz plan is all about your business you are into, with Executive summary, Introduction, coy organization, Techical analysis, Market Research and Analysis, Financial projections (P & L, Cash flow, Balance sheet), you can read more about this online.
The Biz plan would have to be uploaded to the NIRSAL online site
Step 2: Apply For Loan
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) will guides and assists you in applying for the loan by getting all necessary documents required for the processing of the loan

Step 3: Receive Funds
The Loan fund is paid into the account of beneficiaries. While unqualified candidates are given feedback.

Step 4: Get Business Support Services
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) will assist you to implement the business plan drawn and also provide business support services commercially.

Step 5: Make Sales
You sell your products and services to pay back loans and make profit, beneficiaries are expected to run the business by keeping proper records, monitor sales, and expenses to maximize profit and pay back the loan.

The chances are very bright, even if it's a new venture, but it must be registered. Even without any history, you are good to go. Many pple have been given since May when I learn't of it. But your business should be one that has a value chain development in it. I'm an applicant, and awaiting my interview. Another requirement is that you will have to open a personal current account with a Nirsal Microfinance Bank nearest to you.

Humbly submitted.

Good luck.
Waoh! Explicit! I am very grateful for your input. My business is registered (awaiting my certificate). Also I gave someone some money to be doing the business since 2018. She is not doing bad. But it was a micro scale. And part time basis. Both she and I are busy. I don't know if I should reference this in my application. I will be starting the training with SMEDAN Monday.

This year, I planned to take the business up. Hence the reason for seeking loan. We have done market research in two states and 3 major markets. And being a data analyst by profession and currently working as a sales Analyst in a major FMCG conglomerate, it's was easy for me to analyse the market research.

Based on the research, I cut potential sales by more than half. And putting into consideration the fact that we are new in the market. Yet we still have over 4 ROI. This is giving me concerns. because the lenders might see the project as being too optimistic. What do you suggest? And after the financial analysis, if we are able to do 30% of our projection (which had been reduced more than half), we will still be on the green side. Very green side.

Jonwesley:
That's ok. The option would have been sole trader or sole proprietorship, rather than the limited liability which I explained earlier. You are fine with that please.
Bro you seems to have some knowledge about this. I need guide. I am new applicant. Do i contact the training institutes or they will contact me? What are they looking for in the business plan? What are the chances of a new venture getting the loan? because it seems CBN's body language is leaning towards existing ventures.
Business › Re: How To Access The N50billion CBN COVID-19 Loan by Powersurge: 1:41am On Oct 15, 2020
Jonwesley:
Yes you are right about that. However it's just a variant of the intervention funds from the CBN, and usually the concepts are the same, few changes are noticeable. I started the training today with online zoom cloud meeting app, with whatsApp used to register me for the Covid-19 factor loan called AGSMEIS. It's a 7 year tenor, 5% int rate till 2021 March when it will become 9% all inclusive rate. My training continues next week. There will be a business plan to be done by self or by the trainers with a #10k cost. Which will be uploaded to the CBN NIRSAL AGSMEIS site And so on before you are invited for the interview proper.
I just registered for this. I heard it's now dragging. Some people say they have being on it for about 1 year. Others say only about 1% get approval. Please have u gotten to a critical stage yet or have u been paid?

Did u contact the training center or they contact u. What are they looking at in the business plan?
