Sometimes you cannot have an economic revolution without a cultural revolution first.

If you are told smoking is bad for your health and you should chew gum instead to prolong your life then certain habits have to die. Our taste for foreign imports is one half of the reasons we cannot balance our books.

There is just no way out of that vicious cycle with a cultural revolution. We as Nigerians just have to begin to like what we make and once that is established then we improve to whatever degree we want. That is how all nations develop.

We appear to be a people of terribly weak will power.
Smiling. My brother, let it start from the top. You cannot be more Catholic than the Pope.

If the president go to uk for ear infection, who am I?
Food › Re: Despite Importation Ban, Foreign Rice Floods Nigerian Markets by Powersurge: 7:20am On Jan 25, 2021
1. Our politicians are not eating local rice. Even Buhari is not eating local rice.

2. Nigeria rice processors are greedy bastards. If there is no embargo on foreign rice it will comfortably sell for 9,000. Yet you see dome useless local rice sold for as high as 29,000.

3. I ate foreign rice throughout the so called borders closure. When I mistakenly tried LR I regretted it. It looks fine (no stone) but I had to cook for hours, it was too starchy (spilling all over my gas), and the taste was terrible.

4. You can't be giving people inferior goods at exorbitant price and expect them not to boycott it.

Education creates an illusion of wealth.

Iya Basira, the agbo seller, makes more money than some people that tie rope on their necks every morning doing 7-5.

Adenuga has shown me that you may not necessarily need many businesses to be a billionaire.

If he is even very serious about Glo, perhaps he would be competing with top 20 richest people.

Of what use is it when we continue to spend trillions on things that would perish and find it difficult to spend a penny on a needful widow or orphan.

Some people's version of Christianity continues to amaze me. Build it up to the height of Kilimanjaro, it love and compassion isn't the fabric of an institution, everything done is pure activity. We know Christian leaders we celebrate, we k ow the ones we just that k God for and just walk away

I partook in several PTA meetings in ehalf of some children under my care and made my comments known. The hard till and sharp decline saw most parents unable to pay their kids school fees. I personally did all I could, pushed and pressed buttons so they listened to me and subsidised payments or established a regulated payment structure where parents Coul split school fees in 1000 Naira instalments. I was shocked at the attitude towards my suggestion.

As we speak atleast 4 out of 10 students that attend some people's school dropped out to publish schools. Traumatic I sing the kids cause they had to walk by enough their public schools. Yet some people keep gathering, building edifices to impress when there's issues within to handle better internally. This is one, Issue of pension and the likes is another.

What a mess. I know Christian leaders I celebrate. I know the ones I just that k God for.

No beef. We must have convictions, beliefs and perspectives. For confirmation of my claim check up on the school goers records in the past five years 4 to 10 dropped on account of no splitted tuition and no subsidised payments.

Exactly, most nairaland men are too partial for my liking, the people the women are cheating with are men, so why accusing only one gender.
what happened "all men cheat", "men are scum". Nobody accused you people of being partial then But suddenly when it's your turn, "both male and female cheat".

you people are wonderful creatures.
Romance › Re: Is It Right For A Man To Do This Without His Wife Knowing About It? by Powersurge: 1:29pm On Jan 09, 2021
"The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent..."- Act 17:30.

In this 21st century God is commanding men to receive sense.

It is the height of stupidity for a man to tell his wife that he wishes to carry out DNA tests. Don't tell b4. don't tell after, unless the test doesn't come out favourably.

For one, women are manipulative and vindictive. They don't forget things. 20 years later, they will be like, "Hmmm 3x. another hmm with different tone. So you actually doubted my love for you. oga o. hmmm. Come do you even love me at.... blablabla". Trouble starts.

If you tell a woman that you want to carry out test, of course expect troubles. But if the next child happens not to be yours, she wouldn't mind eliminating you to prevent any chance of covering that. Especially if you have some cash.

A woman wrote Joromofin and said she wants to make her second child disappear because hubby wants to do DNA and the child is not his. note that a woman loves her child more than her husband. Anything that would make a woman to plan to make her child disappear. You are not safe.

Finally, it is good for your sanity. The day you tell your wife that you want DNA (even those that openly support it), that is the beginning of ETERNAL distrust and trouble.

The truth is that NIgeria is EXTREMELY poor. 40+% poverty rate at $1 per day is EXTREME poverty.

Poverty line in Brazil is $3.2. and the poverty rate there is 20%. If Brazil was NIgeria, she will use $1 and have poverty rate will be 5%.

Imagine if NIgeria uses $3 as poverty line. Omo na 80% our poverty go be.

Clinging. Women gluing together like a school of fish. Other woman can hardly be wrong In respect to the opposite sex. If she cheats, then something must be wrong with the man.

Of course, the society is also fashioned to favor them. You can see some Betas blaming the man already.

The society is naturally tending into madness.

Politics › Re: CBN Opposes Bid To Remove Arabic From Naira Note by Powersurge: 10:26am On Nov 10, 2020
Putting Arabic in NIgeria's money is a breach of the constitution. If CBN could withdraw paper money from circulation there is no reason she can't withdraw money with Arabic inscription.

Arabic inscription in Naira and Nigeria millitary is a confirmation that NIgeria has adopted Islam as state religion. Which is contrary to the constitution. Anything outside indigenous languages and official language cannot be part of national material.

If you say this means nothing. Then we will start by adding to the NIgeria army's logo, "victory comes from Jehova alone", Victory comes from the god of iron alone" etc.we will do the same to the currencies. Since we have all agreed to be stupid.

In same vein, it's an insult and injustice to register Nigeria in an Islamic organization. These anomalies must be corrected.

What are likely questions? I am a startup.

My advice to you and your trainee's whenever applying for such kind of loans even if they said no collateral needed, in your business plan tell them your business have an asset even if it was a vehicle of 500,000(no one will ask you for its particulars) that shows you are committed in the business and it is profitable that means it was not only there money invested in the business it will only be used foir expansion.
So is there no hope for a startup in AGSMEIS? Cos I am startup and I just applied.
