VEHINTOLAR:
Oh,come on,why on earth would I insult you for airing your own opinion or sharing your own experience about the Bank ? I don't even own their shares and neither am I an employee. So,I'm not in the business of insulting anyone on behalf of Wema Bank or laundering the Bank's image. I don't insult people unprovoked as a matter of fact. Just like you,I'm a customer and I think it's important to say it if they are doing something that's commendable. I have accounts in other Banks,I can only recommend one or two other banks asides Wema Bank. This is my own honest opinion,I'm not even saying this to counter any other person's perception of the Bank.

As for the charges, without being immodest or arrogant,I don't pay attention to it ! I enjoy their services and that's it for me.
Good comment.

As per the charges, I get annoyed and pay attention to it when I discover I have been charged N6.98 UP TO 18 OR ATIMES 15 times for making a transaction that is umsuccessful

It’s my bank and my money was stolen from there. That never happened before this CEO. The security in that bank is not what it used to be.
You have changed from not making enough profit to stealing your money.

Bank fraud predates any CEO and has 🐝 since time immemorial.

VEHINTOLAR:
I'm not surprised, that Bank is doing well. Wema Bank is still clearly underrated by some people who are not well informed. The Bank is arguably, one of the very best in Nigeria in terms of customers services and others. The Bank's staff members have always impressed me with their prompt services and this unique sense of respect for customers; it's really cool.

I had thought that kind of topnotch service was reserved only for their customers here in Lagos until I experienced same in their Osogbo branches. Just yesterday,I was at their Igbona branch for a little transaction. The lady who attended to me,a cashier, Latifat, I couldn't see her last name properly, was so pleasant and highly professional in her conduct. She wowed me ! I only informed her that I would prefer to be paid with N500 denomination, this lady did not only pay me with just anyhow N500 denomination, but new notes ! Why this was a big deal is that,I had earlier made similar request in another bank that I won't like to mention its name here, but the cashier there was kind of rude - "that is what we have (N1000),next,please" ! Anyway,I put her in her miserable place before I left that Bank. Even the first call I received earlier today was that of the branch service manager.

Wema Bank is doing very fine;my honest and humble opinion.
Tell them to desist from the idea of charging N6.98 each time you make an attempt to use their payment channels whether the transaction sails through or not. The moment attempt any transaction with their 935, you will be charged whether the transaction fails or succeeds. They are the only bank I know that does that.

I am a customer and a shareholder with substantial shares in case you want to insult me.

what should they do with profit gotten from currency revaluation? Issue loans? Fund mortgage? Just whathuh?
All banks have provision for reserve in their accounting books.

What sense does it make to wet the appetite of shareholders this FY with astronomical dividends due to currency revaluation only to throw them under the bus when same is not available next FY?

This is inorganic growth, all naija banks will declare profit this year end. It is due to favourable movement in foreign exchange for them. Just wait till the end of 2024 and you’ll see the real state of their performance.

CBN has warned them not to chop the profit gotten due to the currency revaluation.

Look for something else to cry on or better still go to a beer parlour where you can be the C Ronaldo with your limited knowledge.

Better than doubling investment in Yachts n private planes.

Last time I checked, Breweries are FACTORIES operated by HUMANS

Meanwhile your hero is on a luxury spending jamboree creating jobs for Europeans n Americans

SOMEBODY please make it make sense
I was actually waiting for someone to justify investing state funds as a personal investment in a private business. Here you are. Good job.

Think we'll next time not to compare personal investment in a brewery to buying a yatch that belongs to the presidency even if Tinubu dies today.

I will not respond to anything Short of a reasonable and logical comparison.

That's the kind of frugal mentality Peter Obi would have brought at Abuja to develop Nigeria not buying yacht, renovating used houses , buying 170m suvs, etc, as condict pipes to loot billions.
And by now would have doubled his investment in the brewery.

The only education I can give you is that believing all that the guy said hook, line and sinker as the reason for the appreciation in the value of the Naira is total balderdash.

A bit of knowledge will tell anyone that the CBN effort at clearing the backlog of FX due DMBs in the last few days was a significant reason AND NOT, I insist the maintenance of the interest rate by the Federal Reserve bank in the USA.

You can follow other arguments on this thread especially submissions about the likely effects of the DANG refinery and the securitization of the NLNG funds.

Pay attention next time. What is driving the exchange rate has nothing to do with Nigeria. Jerome Powell(US equivalent of CBN governor) kept interest rate steady on Wednesday and US$ crashed against other currencies. Euro, pounds, Australian dollars, etc all recovered against US$. That's what helped naira and not Tinubu nor Nigerian CBN.

/
Sorry to disagree with you sir.
Even when the US reserve bank has been moving it's rate up and down, the Naira has been crashing.
For now, the CBN' effort at clearing the backlog of forex due the banks in solely responsible. The securitization of the NLNG 7 billion dollars will do more.

No be today US dey maintain rate abeg.
