Foreign AffairsRe: Another Gun Massacre In America, Lone Star College Texas by preselect(m): 11:45pm On Jan 22, 2013
gun violence is no more news in the US cheesy

another reason why Obama MUST find ways to use executive order to mitigate this growing social cancer. since the NRA'a puppets in congress don't understand what this means.

until someone related to a republican in congress is fatally shot, they wont listen to common sense. before y'all statr crucifying me, i have some evidence to give ya. we saw the hurricane sandy last year, how it damaged the north east. yet the rupublicans were unwilling to vote for aid to these places . . EXCEPT the north-east republicans. not bc north-east republicans are good people, but bc now it affected their neighbourhoods and constituencies. we saw paul ryan vote for aid when winsconsisn needed aid, southern republicans had no problem voting for aid when the south was hit, etc but when it's someone else's case they all remember deficit. grin

same politics with gun control, they will never support it until it affects them personally

REALITY101: I bet you moved to tear by her lip sync.

Kelly Clarkson sang why can't little miss Princess Beyonce? Cold temps or not, it seems to me that it would be an embarrassment to lip sync at such a national event. I remember Steven Tyler belting out the national anthem at the Indianapolis 500. He was terrible but at least it was him and not a recording! I have more respect for him than I do her!
indeed! as if she cares if you exist tongue

He even challenged their decision desk on election night for calling Ohio for Obama. Embarrasing himself in the process, yet they keep him shocked

CFCfan: Correct. Though it can be argued that MSNBC does the same shilling for Democrats, especially Liberal/left wing Dems.

But the difference btw MSNBC and Fox is that MSNBC's anchors mostly rely on...FACTS.
Sure. FACTS! Common sense.

And don't forget MSNBC starts their day with 3 hrs of "morning joe" a republican who spews conservatism daily on MSNBC, yes on MSNBC
Foreign AffairsRe: 2013 US Presidential Inauguration! by preselect(m): 3:12am On Jan 22, 2013
4 years ago Karl rove was analyzing for Fox News how McCain will win Ohio and then the White House and right then in front of the camera as he was analyzing it, Fox News called Ohio for Obama,

Then 2012 he predicted a landslide for Romney and when Obama won Ohio again he tried to contest it, making Romney look stupid by refusing to accept Ohio result for about one hr. lol

Yet they are listening to him again. Karl rove grin
Foreign AffairsRe: 2013 US Presidential Inauguration! by preselect(m): 3:08am On Jan 22, 2013
Fox News is the media wing of the Republican Party. It's no secret.

iluvnaija: I love the last part of his speech, "God bless you, and may He bless The United States of this America" His speeches always drop tears from my eyes, he is brilliant, smart and a good reader.

GEJ reads like a toddler, very slow and sluggish.
I feel you. I don't cry though. But I understand that after 8 yrs of bush I guess Americans can't believe the difference between the speech of an intelligent man and that of a drunk called Bush.

CFCfan: Obama has no choice but to work with Republicans. Remember that the Republicans control the House Of Reps.
Gridlock! Begining with gun control.

Republicans must understand that Obama has a mandate. He may shift a bit but they must shift more to him. They must stop their tea party foolhardiness, and NRA service and allow common sense to rule. But I dot think they would understand that. Common sense is not common for those guys. Look at simple nomination of a veteran, republican, qualified guy for DOD and the republicans reject his nomination.
Gridlock vagabonds. He must ignore them whenever possible. Eg, gun control at some level, ending the war in Afghanistan, allowing children of undocumented immigrants to live like normal human beings, etc . These he can do without congress. Anything he can do without congress he must not hesitate to do.

This is his last term, for those where he needs congress, he must act tough. tongue

HealthRe: Doctor Emigrating To America Via The USMLE Route by preselect(m): 7:59pm On Jan 21, 2013
Yes anaphylaxis, with each year your chances keep getting smaller and smaller. Last time I went to New York I saw a lot of frustrated foreign doctors. Some have passed their USMLE 5-10yrs ago, just wasted. Some succeeded though others went to do masters degree and even after that they have no jobs and they start looking for PhD but its tough and rough. Just have a plan B. some doctors have become nurses, physician assistants etc. mostly frustrated.

So just have a plan B.

HealthRe: Doctor Emigrating To America Via The USMLE Route by preselect(m): 2:55am On Jan 21, 2013
Lets keep it simple.
1. It's a good plan, go ahead but,
2. Have a back up plan bc this route is not guaranteed. Many Nigerian doctors in America are frustrated after passing all their exams they are not accepted into residency positions. Many cant go back home and have become a wreck. But some have succeeded.

3. It's getting harder and harder for foriegn medical graduates. As each yr passes by.
4. You may have less than 50% chance of getting into a residency, but here's the bad news, for any yr you miss getting in, your chances become less and less.

So give it a good thought. My advice, go ahead but have a plan B
PoliticsRe: 'Smelly Nigerian': Racist Confrontation On London Train by preselect(m): 7:24pm On Jan 12, 2013
Gudiza: guy, u no finish now, make I help you complete am

1. people believe you are subhuman (monkey cos ur black) in london and for that reason throws you in front of a bullet train ...just to see the nature of impact it creates! (...oh, don't forget trans-tlantic slavery), or
2. people cut your throat with a knife in nigeria under political, socio-religious & economic struggle for control of scarce resources and survival.(you can refer to the holocaust and rwandan genocide if you like).

Now you can choose. You die both ways mind you, but the 'circumstance' behind the action is the bone of contention here. In modern times however, such cases
are much more dynamic and difficult to identify.
That's the point. Either way you're dead. Why should you invest so much energy in deciding way is better to die? I'll rather invest energy in rejecting both death pathways.
The racist and the tribalist are both evil. I don't care who is more evil than the other. Both should be wiped off the earth.

2012 : "smelly Nigerian" in London trains (to belittle him)
1966: "Ina nyamiri" in the streets of katsina (to cut his throat)
Tell me who is better? They're not horrible and I refuse to chose whose better or who's more evil.

I just watched the YouTube video again and I couldn't clearly see where the girl hit him with a bottle. I just hope the girl doesn't sue, bc of she does, with a good lawyer she can deny hitting him with a bottle and if the jury is biased, o my, another brother behind bars.
PoliticsRe: 'Smelly Nigerian': Racist Confrontation On London Train by preselect(m): 11:26pm On Jan 10, 2013
manny4life: What other credible evidence does he need than the racial slur she mentioned? Abeg, if he has good lawyers, they will let him walk. When you make racist comments against someone you barely know, it's common knowledge for instincts to kick in leading to violence. How I wished this outcome would have been different...
You obviously haven't been to court before. See how lawyers twist red into green. See false witnesses. Lol. Why d'you think prisons are filled with our brothers? D'you really believe we are that horrible?
