I've not been in Nigeria for a while so I can't debate the Nigerian police with you but if I believe their story, I posit that they did the right thing in going back to look for back up. It's dangerous to jump into a crowd/mob out for the kill. Even if the police were armed, it's only four of them in the middle of a hostile village. They would end up killing many villagers and then they would also loos their lives.

Solution, let the govt equip the police with better and quicker emergency response in situations like this and hopefully build better roads for navigation into interior villages.
More importantly, Nigerians should be civilized!!!. Vigilante may be a good thing but who gave them the authority to execute people? How about arresting criminals and calling the police? Then follow up the case if they don't trust the police. And the people who gathered there, what were they doing? Enjoying the show? Participating? Na wa o. This kind of citizenry can't make a great nation.

free healthcare means "free at the point of use" this doesnt mean it falls down from heaven free of charge. it means that at the point of need, you get what you need. healthcare is not your regular capitalistic good/service that you pay as you recieve. healthcare is a service that you dont chose when you will need it(nobody chooses when to have a heart attack) and when it comes it has to be given (once a heart attack arrives it should be taken care of asap). it'n not right to start looking for pay at that time. so when you hear free healthcare, it means free at the point of use.

Simples. Read up on the voting record of my boy Scott Brown - voted ~50% for democratic bills in his short few years in congress. This is indicative of a mindset that I share - that both sides have good ideas and we should throw party favors aside and come together for a bill that'll benefit all. Not my way or the highway Obama & his foes the republicans. I'm independent and I lean right - but I'm not afraid to see sense in a bill from the left like repealing DADT. Its not rocket science.

To help prevent over 40,000 annual deaths from people who may have been saved if they had health insurance? To stop the excesses of insurance companies who are fund of finding ways to deny aid to even those who have health insurance. To stop insurance companies from denying services to people with "pre-existing conditions" . Etc

2. Stimulus?
Which Bush also did, and madam Sarah I-can-see-Russia-from-my-window Palin agreed with. then Obama did his own, stimulus helped stop the terrible job losses. I may be no economist( dunno if you are) but in 2008, we saw a crisis. Obama received a crisis. Half a million jobs lost weekly(?). Today people are ANGRY that enough jobs ain't being CREATED( remember where we were in 08.

That brings us to the question of we're you better off now than 2008? Lol. Even mr Romney and co have stopped asking that question.
