yes they are rising. hate crimes are on the increase from both the left and the right wing extremists. in a short period of time, we have seen the killing of US soldiers in arkansas during recruitment by a new islamic convert. also we have seen a very disturbing murder of a doctor in kansas by an anti-arbotion crusader, then there is the assault on the holocaust museum in DC by an extreme right wing white supremacist hater who has the ''reflections'' of the fox news/rush limbaugh doctrine in his mentality.

this is a guy who believes like rush and many of his worshippers listeners that the president of the US is evil, not born in the US and socialist.
he also believes that jews are children of satan, blacks are sub human and whites and whites alone matter.

this is a guy who fought against hitler, now a hitler worshipper. FBI reported sometime ago that recruitment into hate organisations is on the rise since the election of an african american president, dept of homeland security warned against rise in hate crimes (a document prepared during the bush administration) for which the republicans made her apologise.

the issue now is, with this guy following the doctrine of fox news/rush limbaugh, hatred of obama, believe he is muslim(as if that is a crime), yet attack his former pastor, believe he was not born in the US, etc . . . . is the extreme right nursing the seeds of hatred? is there an association between the listening to fox news and violence against minorities? could the likes of sean hannity have contributed in some way to this level of hatred whereby an 88 yr old man will want to kill somebody before dying? . . . . . . . this is serious

the civil war was a mistake. any form of violence between two unegual foes is a fatal error. infact it is foolhardiness to undertake such a mission. the smartest people in nigeria? the yorubas. in the midst of the abiola crisis and apparent yoruba feelings of being hard done by, they resorted to mature means of fighting for their ''right''. they used every available peacful means. also they had some luck, abacha died and the rest of the country felt for them and gave them the presidency.

ijaws can fight this battle without violence and in so doing will earn the full support of the rest of the country. but with violence, they look like thugs. just a pity. i will never support any violent struggle for material wealth.

i have a visa which will expire by august, so i have to get another one and this time a visa that will allow me to work. however, b4 that happens, i have an exam, a dissertation (my topic is on health effect of socio-economic ineguality: a comparison of ajegunle/Ikoyi and peckam/herfordshire) this dissertation may even take me to nigeria for 2 months to do a study. so my US trip may well end up being next yr. thanx for asking

a) educate these young ones better, including moral education and possible re-introduction of prayers in public schools

b) reduce poverty, unemployment, etc in the society and more importantly, when the teenagers eventually have these children, there should be a plan to take care of them so this socil vicious cycle doesnt repeat into another generation.

c) health care coverage for all. this will take care of all illnesses including STDs and HIV. and even more importantly take a strong preventive approach to healthcare.

i believe women should have that right of choice, i hope they make the right choices by not getting pregnant. even God in all his power and wisdom did not force his views on his creations, even when he has the power and moral grounds to do so, rather God gave people the choice to do the right thing.

see, i understand ur feelings about the unborn babies, i understand that. and the debate about when life begins still rages, but we must consider the right of the woman and her own body.

i will not give my money for any babe to terminate her pregnancy, but i dont want to be her ''lord'' in what to do with her body.

what do u mean by ovulation period? your ''period'' aka menses is not the same thing as your ovulation. ovulation is when an ovum is released into your oviduct. where as your perios is that time, usually 2-5 days when u bleed from ur vagina. the best time to have sex for pregnancy is during your ovulation. i'e I4 days before your menses. so if your menses is usually on the I6th of every month, try having sex 2-5 days before and after 2nd day of the month.

by the way, you said ur period came out late? well, let's start by doing a pregnancy test. i'm always suspicious when periods shift.

smoking does not stop conception. however, smoking can do a great damage to the fetus. I will advice u to stop smoking at least during your pregnancy. also, i will encourage u to stop smoking at all. it can damage ur health with time. i suggest u go to some social workers who will work out some help for u to stop smoking.
