tayo tayo cheesy

the caller who informed the police never mentioned the word black but the officer said two blacks were reported breaking into a home wink

really i dont want to malign the officer or blame the prof for being angry. perhaps i will say obama should not have been indiscreet (not that he was wrong). as president whatever he says can cause ripples, and he has tried to calm things down anyway

but let's see. . . what did obama say . . stupid . . . ? how would you describe the arrest of a 58 yr old man in his home who was being questioned about his own home and even after he showed his ID, he was arrested for . . . . .tayo what was he arrested for again . . . pls remind me . . . grin . . . . then the charges were dropped grin grin

tayo tayo cheesy . . . get over nov 4th cool

the only reason tayo d is in this debate is to criticise obama and he successfully did so by using the word stupidly for the POTUS even the police officer did not use such description for the POTUS.

I can understand otele's argument. he means the prof should have been more wary of racists. but tayo's case? if obama is for it, it must be bad grin grin grin grin

this my friend sef grin

this is actually a very touching topic, i have never hawked in my life , but for all of you who came from very humble beginnings, never forget where you came from, and always try to help, some children who hawked were used for rituals, converted to become armed robbers e.t.c therefore it's a miracle for those of you who have survived and done fantastic things with your life.we all have our own levels of struggle but the lesson is to learn from our experiences and hope that we have become better persons.
i will never forget where God picked me from. my story is very touchy. hence i'm a lil bit upset when i see overt arrogance or self centeredness in nairaland

Are these videos any different from the way 'we' talk to one another on Nairaland? In fact, i believe it is more civil.

PS. accented english is not bad english. Make una take am easy.
this goes to enhance something i have said more than once. our problems in nigeria may not just be in our leadership but in our populace generally. b/c after all these leaders were manufactured from the population.

Tayo-D:
@topic,

I listened to her resignation speech partly and I have my ideas about why she is quitting.

She clearly stated she had fulfilled all her campaign promises in two years as against the four anticipated. This might just be a good time for her to bow out so her accomplishment isn't tarnished by some missteps. I think its all political with the intention of running for the open senate seat in 2010 and eventually running for the presidency in 2012. If she fails to run, then all eyes must be on my main guy, Romney!
haha ha ha ha ha ha . . . thank God i heard the news in time, and listened to the resignation speech b4 the spin masters come to spin the news . . . ha ha ha ha ha grin grin grin

she fulfilled her campaign promises in 2yrs . . . hmmm, let me see . . . .either alaska is now a paradise that she needs no further action, or she promised very little/next to nothing which was easily fulfilled grin grin grin grin

i miss her though. she was fun to watch grin

to the best of my knowledge, the only person nigerians have freely elected to office of president is MKO Abiola. and he never made it to the office.

every other president has been imposed on nigerians either by military fiat or by democratic abracadabra. and anyone here asking for evidence that the current president was forced on nigerians is either mentally deranged or probably was in coma when the elections took place in 2007. even the carnage called 2003 elections cannot match the display we saw in 2007.

my biggest problem with these electoral palaver is that when i look at the opposition, i see no major difference between them and the rogues who steal elections.

elections were rigged openly, unashamedly and with reckless abandon.

whoever asks for evidence of this irregularity has to first give me evidence that he/she is normal grin

Egos and 'respect' - those are the two things destroying Yoruba people. I guess they've forgotten that respect is earned not demanded.
do you really think it is only yoruba people? i think it has something to do with sub-saharan africans

Kobojunkie:
Problem is I currently live in a city where children have for some time now enjoyed access to free healthcare and that has not helped improve health of children at all.
i cant believe an educated adult in america with african roots can make this kind of stupid statement. sometimes it is better to shut up and let people think you are dumb than to open your mouth and people will confirm that u are stupid. mr kobojunkie, this statement above is exposing a terrible part of your thinking faculty(if any)

Now I remember you very well. You are the one that labeled Hillary my candidate when I corrected your for making an erroneous statement about her. Seriously, grow up!!! The elections are over and I see no need why any sane adult would continue to raise issues as you do above.
was she not your candidate.  was she not defeated. you grow up, silly. nobody is raising issues here. i just wanted to point out that the candidate u rooted for in on the same page with me on healthcare. that's all.

Now, as for your determinant of health status in a society, if you clearly read my post earlier, you would maybe have figured out by now that I am one of the UNINSURED in the society. I have been uninsured for a couple of years now. I was unemployed for a while and was still able to afford decent healthcare. Now that I am employed, I still choose not to pay for insurance as I feel it pays me to save up all that for later. So, sure, you can throw me the HEALTH status in a society reason, but usually the argument given by those coming in with claims that the US has the WORST health care is usually that COST OF IT is TOO HIGH. Hence the reason why I had to inject the piece on how much I pay in there for to give you an idea of cost.
i have already commented on this hopeless statement. you sound so selfish, because u can afford a $65 to clean up sme dirty teeth, people who have real health issues cost tens of thousands of dollars can go to hell. how nice

I will pretend what you have above is factual info. I do have to ask that if most of the pieces on the US HealthCare being poor has been mainly focused on the NUMBER OF INSURED vs NUMBER OF UNINSURED. How does increasing Number of Insured help with the problems you state above?
the info is true. go and find out. like i said before, more insured people = more seeking of healthcare as and when due= less preventible deaths/deformities etc . . . this is common sense. something lacking in this generation

I am not sure how the one can mean the other here. I simply gave you a picture of how much basic health care currently costs without insurance. Again, the sell on this whole health deal has been to make it available to all persons. Problem is I currently live in a city where children have for some time now enjoyed access to free healthcare and that has not helped improve health of children at all. I mean you would think we should be one of the healthiest in the country by now. Sure, America can always do better but when you want to sell me something like stories of how everyother place has it better, give me something reasonable to work with here, not silly fear mongering that has so far reduced a whole nation to panic mode with nothing good coming out of it to date.
i tire for u dude
