A notorious thief who lures his victims mostly ladies and steals their mobile phones in the process, has been apprehended in Delta state.

According to reports, before the suspect's capture, his modus operandi was to lure girls to his house after sweet-chatting with them on Facebook. 

After meeting the victim, the suspect who is said to come from Benin, Edo state, will pretend to be checking out the girl's phone before vanishing into thin air.

It was gathered that had been his style before he was busted.

When a search was conducted after his arrest, about 28 mobile phones were retrieved from his possession. 

The suspect has been handed over to the police for possible prosecution.

The minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, has escaped yet another tragedy while driving to Lagos after an inspection on Tuesday night (yesterday). 

It was gathered that the former governor of Rivers state, embarked on the monthly inspection of Lagos/Ibadan Railway Modernization Project which ended at about 8:30pm.

While going back to Lagos, along Abeokuta road, the car which had a faulty brake started overheating with the oil leaking - as the minister's car was parked along the road before his aides attended to it. The minister had to enter another vehicle.

This latest incident is coming just two days after the minister and other passengers had a terrible experience during a flight from Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital to Lagos (on Sunday).

It was gathered that the flight via Arik airline experienced a two hour turbulence mid-air, leaving the passengers frightened and in panic as they engaged in serious prayers and praise worship aboard the plane.

A Nigerian man identified as Itsede Kingsley Okai has filed a suit in court against president Muhammadu Buhari and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). 

The suit was filed before the Federal High Court, Lagos to challenge Buhari's qualification to stand for the 2019 Presidential Election.

Some days ago, INEC chairman, Mahmood Yakubu said there is room for legal action if anyone is in doubt of claims by candidates in the 2019 elections.

President Muhammadu Buhari had told the commission that his academic records are still with the military, sparking reactions, especially from critics of the government.

Speaking specifically about the personal particulars provided by the candidates, Yakubu said anyone suspecting false claims has the right to file legal action against such candidate.

Addressing a press conference at the commission headquarters on Friday, Yakubu said any doubt on the forms submitted by the candidates regarding their personal particulars can be challenged in court.

Below is what Itsede Kingsley Okai shared on his Facebook page; 

"Like I promised on Friday, I have filed a suit against Buhari and INEC before the Federal High Court, Lagos to challenge his qualification to stand for the 2019 Presidential Election. For this reason, I shall speak less of this matter since it's already before the Court. I believe in the Nigerian judiciary and hopeful the court will end this debate once and for all".

A Nigerian man was brutalised and left injured after allegedly getting drunk at a bar in China.

According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday, October 28th (yesterday) at a popular bar known as Fayrouz where Africans most especially Nigerians relax in Guangzhou area. 

It was gathered that the Nigerian man purportedly got drunk and couldn't control himself before a Chinese security man/bouncer at the bar decided to take matters into his hands and brutalised him.

The security man beat the Nigerian man with an iron rod before other Africans at the bar intervened and called the police who arrived the scene as can be seen in the video posted below. 

Report has it that the Nigerian man landed in the hospital with a broken arm after the brutalisation.

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was featured yesterday on Israel National TV, where he spoke about his arrest, incarceration and issues with the federal government.

The IPOB leader who was introduced as Nnamdi Kanu of Biafra, was asked how do Biafrans perceive themselves as Jewish people considering their roots.

Nnamdi Kanu replied by saying that Biafrans (Igbos) are about 70 million people scattered all over the world and those that identify themselves with their Jewish heritage are nearly 50 million. 

The IPOB leader said that a significant number of Biafrans practice Judaism in terms of their prayers and in other areas. 

Nnamdi Kanu also said that when Christianity came, the Jewish heritage was suppressed and they were made to feel ashamed of their "roots".

He said luckily, some of the Biafrans maintained the Jewish culture till today as he sited Umuleri village in Anambra state as an example where the Jewish tradition is practised.. 

The IPOB leader also said all Igbos are Jewish but the problem is the influx of Christianity in Nigeria through colonialism which dampened down the Jewish tradition and shifted the focus from the Old testament to the New Testament. He said the Igbos are the Jews of Africa. 

Nnamdi Kanu said that Biafrans want to get back to the way they were before the British came because the way Nigeria was put together is the root cause of the problem. 

He also said that IPOB wants an independent Jewish state of Biafra that would be independent of anything to do with Nigeria. He said they want a Jewish state in order to go back to that way of life to worshipping the one and only true God in a Jewish way. 

The IPOB leader said that Biafrans won't be flocking to Israel if they are emancipated but would return to Biafra land and remain there. 

He also spoke about his arrest and also being locked away for 19 months for demanding for independence.

A pro-Biafra supporter identified as Mrs. Felicia Ejezie, popularly known as Mama Biafra was arraigned at the Umuahia Magistrate Court presided over by Magistrate Linda Ugboaja.

She was arraigned by the Abia State Commissioner of Police, Ogbizi, on Friday for selling Pro-Biafia newspapers.

The Police had in the charge number U/9512018, charged Ejezie, aged 55 years for “promoting membership of a terrorist group, IPOB by selling g different IPOB newspapers”, thereby committing “an offence punishable section 64(A) of the Criminal Code, Cap. 80 Vol 3, Laws of Abia state of Nigeria 2005”.

The woman pleaded not guilty.

However, the Police prosecuting Counsel opposed bail application by her lawyer, Grant N. Nwokoma on the condition that her crime was seditious in nature and that she may abscond if granted bail.

The Magistrate, Linda Ugboaja ignored the plea by the Police prosecuting Counsel not to grant Mrs. Ejezie bail and granted her bail in the sum of N300,000.00 (three hundred thousand naira).

Felicia Ejezie (Mama Biafra) was on Wednesday last week arrested by a team of police men, at Umuwaya road vendors’ distribution point around 3 pm and had since then been in police custody.

The five members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who were kidnapped while travelling to their orientation camps in Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, have been rescued by police at a forest in Imo state.

According to reports, the fresh graduates and the other victims were travelling from Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, to Rivers and Akwa Ibom states where they were billed to undertake their three-week NYSC orientation.

They were kidnapped on the Owerri-Port Harcourt Expressway and taken to the Umuapu forest in the Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.

Briefing journalists after the victims were rescued by the police, the Commissioner of Police in charge of the Imo State Police Command, Dasuki Galadanchi, said the kidnappers established contact with the families of the corps members and demanded N5m ransom.

The CP gave the names of the corps members as Abiola Temitope, Olubisi Adekanmi, Jose Temitayo, Folarin Opeyemi and Shonibare Ademola.

Other victims were identified as Leonard Uzondu and Raymond Ojodahe.

A man was found unconscious after taking cover in a wardrobe for almost five days following the crisis in Kaduna which saw many dead and others injured. 

It was gathered that the man identified as Umar hid in a wardrobe since Sunday when the riot started and was rescued on Thursday after staying days there without food or even seeing daylight. 

He was handed over to the security after he regained his consciousness.

Below is Umar who sales coconut and dead palm at Dullahi filling station Sabon Tasha Kaduna. I found him inside this wardrobe when I went out this morning to check some facilities in a house at black street. He has been in this wardrobe since Sunday when the uproar stated, he ran into the house without the knowledge of the tenant in the house and went to this empty room where he hide himself for five days without taking food no seeing the day light and doesn't know what was going on.

I picked him up, he was helpless and looking weak, he could not walk. After regaining his consciousness and strength I called Alhaji Hassan a Fulani man who is a business man in SABO metropolis who identify him and I handed him over to the security. 

Theirs every need to live in peace with one another and to make Nigeria a better place for me and you. If we can convert all the strength we are using in fighting for the course of religion into national building, and if we can love our country the way we love our religion Nigeria by now would have been more than DUBAI.

They popular saying 'One man's food is another man's poison' was demonstrated today in a village in Anambra state after a clean Toyota Venza ride with tinted glass (someone's dream car) was spotted being used to market and sell bread. 

The loaves of bread were loaded in the booth of the car which was parked near a market as Facebook user Ezeasor Ebubechukwuzo who saw it couldn't contain his surprise. 

He took to the platform to share pictures of the car and captioned them; Inside the Village? They are Marketing bread With Toyota Venza tinted glass for that matter my sisters dream car! #ThisIsNigeria

Report has it that the wife of a senator, Mrs. Eileen Uwajumogu and other passengers aboard an Air peace flight from Lagos to Owerri narrowly escaped death following a malfunction on Thursday.

It was alleged that the pilot tried to cover over up the plane's malfunction.

A man has been apprehended and is currently in police custody for allegedly defiling a nine year old girl in Warri area of Delta State.

The police officers attached to B-Division Warri swung into action immediately the case was reported and tracked the suspected rapist known as Aghogho Matthew to his residence.

The officers went after him in the mid-night and arrested him just as he was preparing to escape on hearing that the police have been notified.

The alleged rapist said after his arrest that he only used his fingers for the act contrary to doctors' report that revealed there was penetration.

The suspect has been detained at the police station and would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

A woman's eyes have been removed after being attacked by suspected ritualists on her farm in Plateau state. 

It was gathered that the shocking incident happened at Kunga village in Jos North local government area of the State after the grandmother went out to her farm to look for what she will eat and also fetch some firewood. 

According to David Ayuba, on her way back home, the aged woman met some people who offered to assist her but she declined because she was reportedly scared of them.

The two men allegedly forced her down and injected her with an unknown substance.

According to the grandmother, she didn't know what happened afterwards, but she woke up to realise that her two eyes have been removed by the two men apparently. 

The woman who says she's lucky she was not killed in the process - is currently at University of Jos Teaching Hospital undergoing treatment.

A middle aged farmer has been apprehended for allegedly killing a 75 year-old man, Mr. Olusegun Oyadele and a police officer who tried to arrest him on his farm settlement known as Onipetesi camp in Ondo west local government area of Ondo state.

The suspect simply identified as "At-all-at-all", was alleged to have hacked the septuagenarian to death with cutlass in the early hours of Saturday while the old man was trying to dry his cocoa seeds at the farm settlement.

An eye witness revealed that there was no altercation between the suspect and the old man before he suddenly pounced on him and machete him to death.

Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the state, Mr Femi Joseph, said men of the command from Enu-owa police station mobilised themselves after the case was reported by one Veronica Olawale.

The PPRO said four officers visited the scene of the incident but in an attempt to arrest the suspect, he also hacked to death one of the policemen who came for his arrest, while four other inhabitants of Onipetesi farm settlement were also attacked by the suspect by a cutlass.

An aide of the oil mogul held his briefcase which was filled with cash before he sprayed money at the excited couple who were dancing.

Nwanta Anayoeze who is known for his philanthropy caused a drama after he stormed a club in Parañaque, Philippines last year. 

He sprayed too much money at the club, as he left Asians falling over each other to get their hands on the cash.

The man identified as Obukeni Prince Monday Ochendu from the family of His Royal Majesty Edward Obukeni 1 (Jp) Ovie Of Igbide Kingdom - is set to tie the knot traditionally with Miss Ufuoma Ozoro and Miss Oghale Andrew at Uruwhre Quarter, Igbide Kingdom Isoko South Local Government Area of the state. 

The wedding is coming after separate marriage introductions were held by the families.

Last year, a man from Isoko South area of Delta State performed a rare feat in the annals of marriage in Nigeria.

The man, simply identified as Emamuzo, married two brides, Janet and Osioni, in a ceremony that attracted a lot of eyeballs after the wedding banner went viral online.
