A young man who ate snake meat after capturing and killing the huge reptile - has become a subject of discussion online. According to Urevbu Collins Aghogho who hails from Warri region in Delta state, he caught the big snake which he converted to a meal (pepper soup) after killing and butchering it.

According to him, it is said that snake meat cures HIV/AIDS and makes man's joystick strong.

A woman has accused her husband of brutalizing her and maltreating their children. According to the mother of four children, her husband beats her constantly and starves her with the children for days. The distraught woman revealed that she ran away with the kids so that her husband 'won't kill her'.

She shared pictures online showing her crying along with her two little sons.

Nigeria's favorite crime buster, ACP Abba Kyari, has reacted to a comment made by someone on Facebook about him after helping the person two years ago. According to the Assistant commissioner of police, Abba Kyari whose name brings fear among men of the underworld, the Facebook comment really touched him.

Abba Kyari who is the head of the Police IG's Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT) shared what the person wrote. Read below;

This comment on Facebook from someone we helped almost 2 years ago Truly Touched Me. Thank you Mr Humprey for appreciating Our efforts. May GOD bless us all, Ameen.

“He is unlike the regular Nigeria Police we all know and dread. I remember on June 14, 2016, some group of kidnappers came to my father’s house in Egume, Kogi State and after robbing everyone in the house, took my father away. I was called after 2 days to pay a ransom of N15million.

The kidnappers, after collecting some money, refused to release my father. As luck would have it, I stumbled on ACP Abba Kyari’s mobile number. My wife and I called and he picked. After narrating our ordeal to him, he promised to help and true to his word, he did act. A man I’ve never known and had no relationship with. He mobilized his men from Abuja to Egume in Kogi State and engaged the kidnappers. In the process, 3 of the kidnappers lost their lives and some of Abba Kyari’s men injured.

He personally sent me the picture of the dead kidnappers as well as his men’s vehicles sprayed with bullets by the kidnappers. Thank goodness, none of his men lost their lives.

My father was eventually freed and was brought to Lagos. Abba Kyari offered to speak with my dad to lift his Spirit. Before I encountered him, I used to believe that if you are not high up there, police would never come to your assistance but ACP Abba Kyari proved me wrong. He demonstrated that all humans are equal.

My father is alive today because of Abba Kyari and his Team. I do not know How to thank him but I believe some day, our path would cross again and I would let him know how much he means to me.”

Three suspects were killed after unknown gunmen engaged in an open combat with men of the Nigeria Military along Rumuji / Rundele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State early this morning by 2.00am.

According to reports, the unknown gunmen who were eight in number - were said to be on their way for an operation before encountering the soldiers.

Rather than surrender, they engaged in a gun battle with the military men who killed three in the process.

A security officer at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka - has been gruesomely assassinated by unknown assailants suspected to be cultists. The security personnel simply identified as Chinedu a.k.a Edu - was known for his ruthlessness towards cultists and other criminal elements at the institution.

He was attacked and butchered like an animal by yet-to-be identified attackers who left him dead in the pool of his blood.

May his soul rest in peace.

A young lady identified as Chioma Nelly Nwawere, has revealed why a guy blocked her on Facebook. According to the pretty lady from Imo state, the guy in a bid to woo her - bombarded her with different unwarranted questions. Even when she answered the questions, he continued with his "interrogation".

The lady also narrated how the guy asked her about her complexion and her gap teeth despite going through her pictures. That was she she told him to go for medical checkup.

This probably annoyed the guy who took out his anger by blocking her on Facebook.

The serial and notorious killer, Adeola Williams, alias Ade Lawyer, who was arrested by operatives of the Inspector-General of Police’ (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT) - has been paraded at the Lagos state police command. Touted to be the most notorious assassin in the southwest region, Williams was arrested alongside his accomplice, Rafiu Olorunwa Akanni, aka Olorunwa, a former Lagos NURTW boss, who hired him.

The suspect, said to be responsible for the death of a member of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Ganiyu Ayinla, at Lagos Island on January 23, was arrested on Wednesday in Akure, Ondo State.

Following the death of Ayinla, a massive manhunt was launched and the IRT, led by ACP Abba Kyari, caught Williams in their dragnet.

According to the police, Ade Lawyer had been on its wanted list for over five years following his involvement in several assassinations in the South West.

Former NURTW boss, Rafiu Akanni alias Olorunwa, allegedly contracted the assassin to kill his rival, Azeez Lawal.

Police said Ade Lawyer confessed that he was paid N500,000 to execute the job. He, however, missed the target and killed Lawal’s personal assistant, Ayinla. Police said Lawal miraculously escaped the assassination attempt on him with bullet wounds.

He also mentioned many other victims he assassinated in the past which included Hamburger, a union chairman in Oshodi, Babajide Dosumu aka Mados in Ebute Meta, Salawe in Ajah, Ganiyu Asaro and four others in Badore where he said he spread bullets in their car and killed the five occupants.

In a bid to mitigate the menace of smuggling, the Nigeria Customs service has seized contraband items being smuggled into the country including some luxury vehicles. On the 7th February, while on routine patrol along Ibeji River around – Idogo – Ifoyintedo axis of the Command, officers intercepted a Toyota Highlander (2014) suspected to have been smuggled into Nigeria.

In the process, an Officer received a life threatening injury from smugglers on his arm and fingers, although he is responding to treatment. Full scale investigation is ongoing to ensure that such criminals are brought to book to face the full wrath of the law.

Officers and Men of the Command have also seized, 13 Tokunbo vehicles, 12 means of conveyance, 21 motorcycles, 1, 168 bags of foreign rice (50 kg each), 221 kegs of vegetable oil (25liters each), 5 sacks secondhand shoes and 2 sacks of secondhand bags with a total Duty Paid Value (DPV) of N153, 858, 579, 153.00. at Idiroko axis of Ogun Area Command.

Most spectacular among the seizures is a brand new Range Rover (velar) 2018 model seized and tagged “the seizure of the month”. The said vehicle has a DPV of N51, 285, 154.

A lady identified as Cynthia has revealed how she met her husband on a bus while traveling to Abuja. According to her, meeting her hubby on that bus five years ago is one of the best things that has happened to her as they both have a son together.

She narrated her story to Humans of Abuja. Read what she said below;

My name is Cynthia and I met my husband on a bus while coming to Abuja 5 years ago. It was my first time in Abuja and I intended staying with my cousin in Abuja before I could start working and earning money. My cousin lived in Wuse which was my destination while my husband who is a business man lived at Kubwa.

While in the bus, we started a healthy conversation we talked about so many things and laughed as if we had known each other for a long time. At a point in our discussion I fell asleep and rested my head on his shoulder unknowingly, when I woke up and realized myself, I looked at him and he smiled and he said I could sleep more.

On getting to my final bus stop in Abuja, I called my cousin but her number was switched off I was angry. I tried so many times but I couldnt get her on call and I cried because it was my first time in Abuja and I didn't know any place in Abuja.

My husband consoled me and told me that I could stay in his apartment for that night till I could reach my sister on the phone. I was so scared at first I refused his offer but i realized that I didn't have any other option than to follow him because I didn't have enough money to pay for a hotel that night. I went home with him on getting to his house he showed me a room which I slept in peacefully. I woke up in the morning and tried my sisters number again, it was available and he spoke with my cousin.

My husband directed her to his house, and she came to pick me that morning, we exchanged numbers and we talked for months and started dating. He got a job for me and in less than two years of our relationship we got married and I have a son now.

He is one of the best things that happened to me after so many failed relationships and he loves me with everything in him. I bless the day I met him in that bus.
