Security operatives have arrested a notorious gunrunner; one Christian Chidebere and Benjamin Mallo at a hideout in a village in Langtang North Local Government Area of ​​Plateau state, according to a statement released by Operation Safe Haven.

Christian Chidebere, a native of Enugu State, had been hunted by the army and police for a long time before he was found and arrested by troops last week...

The Benue State Police Command received a distress call yesterday 4/1/2018 that, along Makurdi-Gboko road, a Toyota Camry was being attacked by some hoodlums on motorcycles.

However, the driver was able to drive smartly into the Police Training School, where a Police Response Team immediately met him.

Inquiry revealed that the Hausa family was heading to Calabar from Makurdi, but had a punctured tyre at Wannune, where the hoodlums attacked them. Although, the vehicle was damaged, none of the occupants sustain any injury.

Escort was provided to the family by the Police Team, who postponed the journey to enable them repair the damaged vehicle.

According to reports, there was a gun duel between two groups over the election of youth executive in Okpoama-kingdom in Brass Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. Security sources confirmed that the ugly incident occurred around 8pm on Sunday 4th February, 2018 with many injured in the process.

The youth election in Okpoama schedule to hold on Monday 5th February has been suspended till further notice.

A man is filled with thanks to God for saving him after being attacked by armed robbers yesterday afternoon at Rochas fly over in Owerri, Imo state capital. According to Orji Ezikpe, the armed robbers who wore army uniforms stooped his vehicle as the hoodlums abducted him along with his friend before dispossessing them of their valuables and injuring them in the process.

A suspected fake Military Officer, one Seaman Okonkwo Ebuka Emmanuel, dressed in military uniform to deceive the police on stop and search along Ogwashi-Uku/Ibusa expressway has been arrested along side two others - Ugochukwu Eludi and Chuks Ogbonna for allegedly stealing a Honda Crosstour saloon car with Reg. No. Abuja (BWR 199 PV).

According to the PPRO of the Delta State Command, the suspects were heading from Kwale to Asaba on the 30th of January, 2018, when they were intercepted by the Dragon Patrol Team 21, led by officer Imonikhe Imo.

He said that questions put to the suspects with regards to ownership of the vehicle could not be answered, prompting the officers to search the vehicle where they discovered a wrap of Indian Hemp, two phones and the vehicle particulars.

The PPRO, DSP Andrew Aniamaka, said that call was put across to the number on the vehicle papers, only to discover the vehicle was stolen from one Ogwe Chidiebere in Lagos.

Aniamaka however, confirmed that the suspects and the stolen vehicle had been handed over to Ogwashi-Uku Division for further investigation.

Some suspects were arrested in the act of kidnapping for ransom of a 9-year-old girl named Hadiza Husseini and demanding for Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) at Anguwa Bala Village in Karu LGA of Kaduna State. The victim was rescued without payment of any ransom.

The suspects during interrogation confessed to the crime and admitted to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the offence.

The suspects are:

i. Bello Musa ‘M’ 27 yrs (Gang leader)

ii. Musa Sani ‘M’ 33 yrs

iii. Ibrahim Rere ‘M’ 70 yrs

iv. Hudu Yahaya ‘M’ 35 yrs

v. Isah Aliyu ‘M’ 50 years

They will be arraigned in court on completion of investigation.

There is tension in Benue State Commissioner following the gruesome killing of seven Fulanis who were lynched and burnt by irate youths in Gboko area of Benue State on Wednesday (yesterday). Multiple reports have it that soldiers have been deployed today from Abuja to Gboko, Benue State after crisis.

The victims were said to be travelling either to Okene in Kogi State or Taraba State when criminals attacked, killed and burnt them to ashes.

Troops have currently stationed themselves in the region in order to prevent any reprisal attack.

The men of Bauchi state police command have arrested a 17 year old boy identified as Nuhu Bulus of Boloji ward, Toro local government area of Bauchi state who killed his 65-year-old father, Bulus Azi. The boy was arraigned by the police alongside other suspects.

According to police reports, the boy killed the father by hitting him with a mud pot, wood and Sickle.

It was gathered that the suspect's other siblings, Samaila Bulus and Musa Bulus‎ reported the incidence at Toro police station on January 17th, 2018. They reported that they left their brother with the father and returned to find their father with head injuries allegedly inflicted on him by their brother.

The father was later rushed to Toro General Hospital where he was certified dead by a medical doctor and the suspect was later arrested.

Speaking to journalists after their arraignment, Nuhu Bulus confessed that they had an argument with his father which later degenerated and he hit the father several times on the head with various objects. He also admitted that he committed the act under the influence of hard drugs which he had taken.

The suspect will be charged to court after investigation.

This is very unfortunate. A Naval personnel caused a huge scene along Oshodi expressway in Lagos after slapping a pregnant woman. The woman collapsed after receiving the slap from the officer as people gathered in their numbers to know why a man would slap a woman in public to the extent of her collapsing.

The woman was later helped by some passersby who were at the vicinity at the moment.

A woman and her family have been left in lament following series of trouble from her landlord in Abuja. According to the woman, her landlord has been threatening her family because her husband complained of the grinding engine inside the compound which was placed by the side of their window.

According to her, after complaining - the landlord told them that compound belongs to him that If they don't pack out alive, that they will pack out dead.

She also said that the landlord and his family gathered to fight them which forced them to report the issue at a police station in Abuja but the police told them to go to Abuja Environmental Protection Board (AEPB) - that it's not in their jurisdiction to treat environmental matters.

After reporting to the environmental protection board, the landlord reportedly continued threatening them with gun and cutlass. The landlord's wife also poured water on the woman and nothing was done about it (See picture below).

They went back to the same police station to report again, this landed her husband in a cell on orders of the officer in charge.

According to the woman, her husband was also hit with a gun by the police after putting him in the cell (as seen in the picture) just because they were forcing him to sign that he will pack out by 31/1/2018 (month end). He refused to sign as he them told them that his rent has not expired.

The distraught woman and her family are seeking for justice.
