The Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare 11, yesterday placed a curse on perpetrators of human trafficking in Edo state as well as native doctors who administer oath of secrecy on victims, asserting that the gods of Benin Kingdom would destroy those involved in the illicit trade.

The traditional Palace Juju 'Ososomaye' of Great Benin kingdom was reportedly brought out for the first time yesterday to face the sun in the presence of all Palace chiefs, native doctors and women leaders who witnessed the traditional occasion.

According to multiple online reports by Bini people, the last time the Ososomaye saw the sun was above 400 years ago, and if it sees the sun, it delivers on its assignment against the person and his generation. They said the last time it was deployed and brought out to see the sun was in the reign of Oba Ewuare 1.

The 'Ososomaye' is what all the spiritual heads in Edo kingdom report to.

The monarch revoked the curses placed on victims of human trafficking; while curses were placed on human traffickers, cultists and cult activities and land grabbers in Benin kingdom henceforth.

A young artiste named DJ Dream Ogbu was this morning shot dead by armed robbers in Aba area of Abia state. According to reports, killed the upcoming musician who was preparing for a remix of one of his songs with a colleague - after a robbery operation in his house.

According to a report by Emeka Ozumba, tears flowed freely at the re-unification of a lost woman presumed dead thirty-five years ago with her family by the wife of Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Mrs.) Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme).

The remarkable re-union was occurred at the 2018 International Women's Day Celebration held Thursday at the Home for Mentally Challenged in Oyi Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The sixty-two year old Mrs. Rose Anene who hails from Umudioka Village Awka reportedly left her home thirty-five years ago following a spell with depression and mental challenge, leaving behind five young children who are now full grown men and women.

She was subsequently admitted at the state mental facility in 2004 on transfer from Lagos and later at Home for Mentally Challenged Nteje established in September 2014 by Caring Family Enhancement Initiative (CAFÉ) NGO of the wife of Governor, Osodieme, and managed in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Children and Women Affairs.

Speaking at the International Women’s Day event which saw the discharge of twelve inmates made up of eight women and four men, Osodieme expressed delight that the Home is fast realizing its objective with the recovery and discharge of more inmates.

Furthermore, she thanked her husband, the Governor for donating his monthly Salary to support the inmates, and called on others to do same to ensure that the good work is sustained.

The high point of the event was the formal handover of Mrs. Anene to her family and presentation of Sewing machine, some cloths and stipend to enable her start tailoring at home amidst songs of praise to God by friends and well-wishers, as well as dances by the inmates.

A lady who was declared missing some days ago in Sapele area of Delta state has been found. The lady identified as Agbanga Avwerosuo Excel left her home in Ogorode road, Sapele on Monday, March 5th to get her voter's card at the INEC office in the area and didn't return home. Her phone was said to have been switched off.

This threw her family into panic as they began searching for her both online and offline.

According to Sapele Oghenek, the missing lady was found this morning at Amukpe roundabout as she narrated what allegedly happened to her.

According to the lady, she claimed she was hypnotized after being touched by some people with diabolical powers. She said she lost concentration after being touched and followed her abductors to their hideout.

She claimed she was locked up in a room in an undisclosed house for some days before she manged to escape and found herself at the roundabout.

Operatives of the Police Force Niger state command have paraded 48 suspects who were arrested for crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery, car snatching, cattle rustling and fabrication of locally made prohibited/illegal firearms. They have confessed to the various criminal roles they played in the commission of the crime.

The suspects are reported to have been terrorizing the FCT, Niger, Kaduna, Plateau, Katsina, Nasarawa and Zamfara states before their capture.

A woman who welcomed a set of triplets recently -is apparently overwhelmed with joy after a safe delivery. The woman gave birth to three bouncing babies, two girls and one boy. The babies and their mother are said toe in good condition.

A Facebook user, Happiness Joshua who shared pictures of the woman and her babies - said the overjoyed new mother asked for a baby but God gave her three.

Yesterday, the Consul General of United States to Nigeria, F.John. Bray who is in Bayelsa state on a tour along with his team - paid a working visit to the steam ship used by the British Government in the 1880's. The steam ship which is located in Akassa, southern part of Bayelsa State....

The steam ship was used to convey people and goods from one place to another before the existence of trains, cars, trucks and airplanes existed.

River travel was often slow because speed of travel depended on the river current and manpower. That all changed with the introduction of steam- powered boats in the late 1700s and early 1800s.

A Nigerian veteran film maker and former Chairman, Badagry Local Government Area, Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu has cried out after allegedly falling victim to online scammers/hackers. The MD/CEO at Dudu productions, Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu raised an alarm following the attempt by a scammer/scammers threatening to blackmail him on social media with a sex video.

The hacker claimed to have nude pictures of him and sex tape which he says will release on social media except he is paid in dollars.

The 64-year-old Nigeria TV production icon, Tunde Alabi-hundeyin Dudu, revealed that he has notified the FBI, Nigeria's DSS, other outfits and social media platforms as relating to the blackmail.

The talented producer raised the alarm via his Facebook page. Below is what he wrote;

Following reports that popular Catholic Archbishop, AJV Obinna was attacked by men loyal to governor Rochas Okorocha's son-in-law, Ugwumba Uche Nwosu at St. Micheals Catholic Church, Ngwoma, Owerri North LGA of Imo State during the burial of Late Mrs Mbata, mother of the Pro-Chancellor of Imo State University, Owerri, Chief Alex Mbata, the Imo state government has released a press statement to that effect.

We have as usual, read on the social media several versions of the purported beating or lynching or attacking or harassing of the Catholic Archbishop of Owerri Diocese, Bishop Anthony Obinna allegedly by hoodlums or thugs or Entraco officials on the fictitious order of Chief Uche Nwosu, Chief of Staff, Government House.

Those behind this latest blackmail said the incident happened at a burial Church Service in a Community at Ngor-Okpala LGA.

We do not intend to bug our audience with lengthy story to show the reason behind this latest blackmail or onslaught until Archibishop Obinna himself talks on this claim.

However, we say this for posterity sake. Imo people, including youths, students, men and women have thrown their unalloyed support behind the youthful Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu for the 2019 governorship in the State. He has become the subject-matter as long as that issue is concerned, with APC officials and leaders from 24 out of the 27 Local Governments in the State having already endorsed him for the 2019 Imo guber.

Now seeing Uche Nwosu as the guy to beat in the 2019 election, they now think that there is no other way to stop him than through unwarranted blackmail. That is the reason, such a quintessential gentleman and an embodiment of decency should be associated with whatever that transpired at the event in question.

Also note that the issue of being an in-law to Governor Okorocha has refused to fly. So the change in their tactics.

For weeks now, they have flooded the social media with one ugly story or the other against the young man, but to Imo people, such elements are wasting their time. They do not know that when God has said yes to any project nobody can say No.

It should also be recalled that in 2015, in their effort to blackmail Governor Rochas Okorocha out of winning his Second term election they called him names including Alhaji in Government House and Okoro Hausa and when all that had failed, the thugs hired by the PDP and APGA then came and pulled down the Podium meant for guests for the Political debate for the governorship Candidates also organized by the Owerri Catholic Diocese. The same people went wild with the false story that Governor Okorocha told his supporters to pull down the Podium even when he had not arrived the venue of the event. Imo people knew the truth and still went ahead to cast their votes for him enmass.

This time, it is Uche Nwosu because they have seen that he is the man for 2019 with God on our side. And no amount of blackmail or tricks would change the plan of God on the young man to govern the State. It takes someone alive in the things of the Spirit to know that Uche Nwosu is a “Child” of destiny. He has the divine mark. And anyone fighting him is fighting his God. And no one can battle with God.

Finally, in whatever we all do, we should be mindful of the Judgement of God. One day, everybody whether Pastor, Journalist, Bishop and so on, will all appear before the Judgement throne of God. That time, blackmailers and social media won’t be there.

A young lady is filled with thanks to God after surviving a ghastly motor accident while on her way to Kaduna for a church programme. The vehicle she boarded fell off a bridge as the driver was trying to avoid a head-on-collision with an oncoming trailer...

Excited Queen Ike who survived the accident and celebrated her birthday yesterday - took to Facebook to share the god news.

Hmmmm………..Can’t believe I am actually saying Happy Birthday to me. I OWE GOD EVERYTHING. Apparently, the devil had planned to make me rest in peace before this day but how I got out of it, I can’t tell.

I have never been in a near death situation soo much as I did last Sunday, just 1 week before my birthday.

Guys, on my way to Kaduna with four other people for a church programme, we were all busy making corrections on the flyer that we had to share at the venue, next thing we heard was tires screeching and our car swerving from left to right. Infront of us was a trailer who had left his lane, swerved into ours and destabilized our driver who then tried to dodge a head on collision.

At that point, our car after many turns, leaped off the bridge and dropped from the top of that bridge down to the river…………..All the while, we were all screaming and MY GOD, that fall was like eternity cause we had no idea where or what we were falling into……..The scariest part was the impact, can’t even explain it……….but GUESS WHAT? Five of us all came out alive. Did I mention we had a generator filled with fuel in the boot of the car? I mean we fell from there, inside the river, see the height!!

The trailer driver even had to go report himself to the police thinking he had killed people, according to him, he didn’t see us coming. Even road safety, when they were informed said they were just coming to pack dead bodies, people who came down to help couldn’t believe we were all safe. We were told that severally has accidents occurred at that same spot with cars falling into that particular river and for all the times, either the car or the people inside the car disappears, then some of the bodies will be found in far away river Niger or none of them will come out alive.

What happened was nothing short of a miracle, none of our bones were broken, just few stitches and bruises. How we survived, I don’t know. Honestly, there is soo much to say but I can only say THANK YOU JESUS.

To my totally awesome family, amazing friends and colleagues that God has blessed me with, I say may my God continue to enrich you the more. (And you see how this life works, just few days after this happened, I didn’t even tell anyone except few friends and family, but somehow, people I haven’t spoken with in a long time started reaching out to me just to know how I was doing, that touched me. I think we should always learn to work with our instincts, when your heart says, call this person or talk to that person, please do, cause you don’t know the battle the person is fighting at that point and how far your concern will go to help him/her, even without knowing it).

So on this day, I’ve never been more grateful, I AM ALIVE.

I love this woman I’ve become; I’ve seen God break protocols for her and bless her with favour and grace. Today I’ll always celebrate her and I want you all to join me and thank this God. HAPPY BLESSED BIRTHDAY TO ME.

A man has died after he was allegedly shot by Nigeria Customs officials while transporting bags of rice to Sokoto state. According to reports, the driver was conveying bags of rice from Niger Republic to Sokoto state where he met Customs agents on duty at a checkpoint..

It was gathered the man was stopped by the officers - with him reportedly refusing to follow them to their station.

This allegedly made one of the Customs men shoot the driver in the forehead as he died instantly.

On seeing what had happened, the officials fled the scene moments later.

A 73-year-old man whose age was reduced to 42 by a Police officer and charged to court with murder - has regained his freedom. According to Kola Edokpayi, a police officer attached to Homicide Unit of Edo State Police Command Headquarters charged the old man to court with murder after reducing his age from 73 to 42 as a result of the inability of his family to pay him (IPO) a whopping sum of N500,000 for bail.

Kola revealed that the IPO charged the man to court even when both two parties had resolved their matter through Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and affidavit of withdrawal was deposed at the State High Court by the Complainant to that effect.

The old man was so excited upon his release from Medium Security Prison, Oko, Benin after spending 25 days in Police custody and another 31 days in Prison custody.
