A suspect identified as Kingsley Chukwuemeka from Ezinachi in Okigwe L.G.A of Imo State - has been arrested by the police. The suspect was arrested on 23/12/2017 by operatives of the FSARS at Control Post Owerri in possession of a locally made pistol and three live cartridges..

The suspect is one of the prison inmates who escaped from the Owerri Prisons alongside a notorious kidnapper known as ‘Vampire which took place at the Owerri High Court premises where he was facing trial for armed robbery/unlawful possession of firearm with charge No. OW/375C/2013.

According to multiple online reports, a woman was seriously left injured after being allegedly attacked by her jealous boyfriend. Information gathered online reveals that the alleged attacker descended on and butchered his girlfriend wafter she was seen flirting with another guy.

The issue which is currently trending online has been trailed with serious of reactions from Nigerian netizens who criticized the alleged attacker for this shameful act.

The boyfriend has been reportedly arrested by the police and will be charged to court s soon as investigation is complete.

There was panic earlier today in Tema region of Ghana after suspected armed robbers shot dead a Lebanese businessman identified as Alhaji Mohammed after he had visited a branch of Zenith bank on Wednesday morning. According to reports, the robbers allegedly bolted with a cash sum of GHC200,000 (over N16 million) after killing the businessman at the premises of his soap company, Delta Agro.

Tema Police spokesperson Benefo Darkwa said Police personnel arrived the scene in order to gather evidence to help with investigations.

“ Yes, it happened this morning and we are investigating. Our men are there and we will give further details later,” he said.

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) has arrested 11 persons for suspected child trafficking, abduction and sale of children. They were arrested in different parts of Anambra state in a combined operation carried out with the support of the operatives of the Directorate of the State Services (DSS).

The suspects comprising 8 women and 3 men were said to have belonged to a criminal syndicate that specialized in kidnapping and sale of babies across the country notably the States of the South-East, Lagos and Abuja.

Three children whose ages range from 8 months to 4 years were recovered during the operation while scores of other children believed to have been trafficked by the gang are yet to be found. Among the children were a 2 - year old girl who was reportedly stolen from Lagos sometimes ago and another 4 - year old boy who was allegedly stolen from his parents in Gudaba area of the Federal capital territory. His parents are yet to be traced.

The parents of the 8 month old child are yet to be traced while the 2 years old child whose 4 year old brother is yet to be recovered has been identified by her parents. She was stolen from Okpoko in Anambra State and was recovered in Lagos. One of the arrested suspects, Rosemary Okafor (30 years old) sold one of her 4 children (New born baby) to one woman simply identified as Madam Pink at the cost of N350, 000.

She confessed to have sold the baby to be able to train the other three in school. While the suspects are in the custody of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Agency, the rescued children and the remaining 3 children of Rosemary Okafor victims are presently receiving the required services at the Agency’s shelter.

A woman was found mutilated after her alleged capture by suspected ritualists. According to media reports, the woman who was reportedly bleeding and left to die on the roadside - was discovered by residents in Buea, Southwest Region of Cameroon, on Wednesday, February 21. The woman was found unclad woman and her breasts cut off.

The incident that occurred in the early hours of the morning, attracted a mammoth crowd from the area and other neighborhoods who rushed to the scene to see what had happened.

The woman, said to be in her 30s was found lying unclad in front of the residence of a medical personnel, Mbapi Harriette, who works at the Buea Regional Hospital.

According to reports, the woman was admitted at the surgical ward of the hospital and is responding to treatment.

Reports have it that the victim, who until now, has been a resident of Bwassa got missing three days back and her relatives have been looking for her but to no avail.

A Nigerian man who lives in Leicester, United Kingdom - has criticized Christians after watching the trending movie in the world 'Black Panther'. According to Uba Acho, the actors in the movie used some Igbo/Nigerian artifacts which are now being replaced by statutes of Virgin Mary and Jesus and some also being destroyed and burnt in the name of religion.

The man lambasted Christians for allowing themselves to be "brainwashed" by the foreigners who label the traditional items as bad luck and misfortune - only for the artifacts to be exported abroad and used in making money..

So on the 13th February 2018, I took my entire family to the cinema to see The Black Panther Movie, at a total cost of £112.

At the end of the movie I came home, and during my daily routine of thinking and reflection, it was dawn on me, that I paid £112 to watch my history and culture repackaged and sold to me. One of the major cast #Killmonger in one of the set, wore an Igbo inspired mask called #Mgbadike #Mask.

Then I realised back home in Igbo land and across Africa, we are busy burning these ancient artifacts, figures and figurines. Replacing them with white Virgin Mary, white Jesus and all the European ancestors they call saints.

They brainwashed you to believe that an artifact is the cause of your misfortune, hardship, poverty and sickness. And you believed them without questioning or thinking for yourself.

While we are busy demonising and burning #Mgbadike mask, arts, figures and others, Disney films and Marvel Comics have made about a billion dollar with it.

While we are busy demonising and branding our heritage fetish, evil, diabolic, the western world are busy researching them, preserving them in their prestigious museums for you to pay to see them.

My people, we’ve slept enough, wake up.

N/B: I love the black panther movie, happy to see a people that found value in what we have and a movie that brings a different dynamics to Africa and black depiction in the Hollywood big screens. Go and see it.

An appeal is being made online to help locate the family of a young pregnant woman who was almost used by suspected ritualists. According to an online report, the woman identified as Janet Oyewole from Osun state managed to escape from her alleged captors and is said to have lost her memory in the process.

She revealed that a car dropped her at a roundabout in Ado Odo area of Ogun state.

The lady who claimed she can't remember much - is hoping to reunite with her family.

A man whose sister was among the schoolgirls kidnapped in Yobe state by Boko Haram terrorists - has revealed the sorrow her abduction has brought to their family. The man identified as Abba Isa said the kidnap of his sister, Aisha has taken away smiles from the faces of the whole family has he urged for her return whether dead or alive.

Boko Haram militants stormed Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi in Yobe state and abducted 105 female students in the process.

There was panic among residents at Nguru Local Government Area in Yobe State after a man's corpse was found in a river. According to reports, the man was abducted along with his brothers who are still yet to be found. His corpse was discovered by some villagers in the area - with a rope tied round his neck.

This is said to be the second time a corpse is being found in the same river as residents are calling on the security agencies to come to their aid....

Wife of Cross River governor, Dr Linda Ayade joined her medical colleagues at the theatre to carry out surgical operations, and even went on ward rounds as she communicated one on one with the patients and took some time in the consulting room attending to patients.

The First lady's arrival precipitated a standing ovation by all the people who flooded the General Hospital premises waiting to receive treatment.

One of the patients, Yakubu Victoria who was operated of goutier said that she wanted to hug the Governor's wife in appreciation of her benevolence, Dr Ayade shook her profusely since she could not stand on her own..

Dr Ayade expressed worries over the number of children between the age 2-7 who were operated of hernias and rhetorically asked what could be the cause of the rampant hernias among the children.

Dr Ayade was conducted round the various department in the hospital Dr Okolo who stressed that the hospital is stocked with state-of-the-art equipment, called on the people of Obudu to take advantage of the services rendered and the Government to put in place measures that will enhance effective utilization of the facilities in the hospital.

There was pandemonium earlier today after former vice president, Atiku Abubakar shared money on arrival at the airport in Kano state. According to reports, even the airport officials and security personnel struggled in order to get their own share of the "national cake". The incident was said to have caused a chaotic moment at the airport.

A 22-year-old lady, Sandra Okeneke is set to reunite with her father for the first time in her life after he abandoned her and her late mum at birth. According to reports, the girl revealed that her grandmother told her years ago that her father rejected her mum because of the name of her place, Umuosu Ubakala in Umuahia South, Abia State.

The man reportedly thought they are Osu people (outcast) as he said he can't marry and live with an outcast.

The girl launched a search online in order to meet with her father after seeing a picture of him and her late mum hidden with her birth certificate. According to the lady, her mom died 2008.

Nnamdi Victor who led the search for the lady's father online and shared his pictures on Facebook - revealed today that he has contacted her dad, Okeneke Joe who lives in Jos, Plateau South...

He revealed that he spoke with her father this afternoon who was very surprised on hearing about his long lost daughter. The man also reportedly accepted that he can't wait to see his daughter Sandra.

According to Victor, Sandra will be on her way to Jos any moment from now to meet her biological father for the first time after two decades.

A mother of one who is visually impaired has cried out for help after being abandoned by her husband who allegedly gained custody of their only child forcefully. According to the 34-year-old woman, Margret Uko Ekanem, the husband secretly packed out of the house with their house help - with her no even knowing where he lives now..

Ifeanyi Calistus shared the sad story on Facebook. Read below;

Her name is Margret Uko Ekanem. She is totally blind. Age -- 34. She has a National Diploma in Mass Communication. A native of Akwa Ibom State but resides in Port-Harcourt.

The whole Odessy started in 2009 while she was doing her one year internship with a media house in Poryharcourt. Her path crossed with that of Emeka Idika -- A media Practitioner himself. The relationship led to marriage which was formalised on the 19th of May 2012 in a court registry here in Port-Harcourt.

The Union was blessed with a bouncing baby girl ---- Divine by name. Emeka Idika perceived the disability of his wife as a gold - mine to gain compassion and goodwill from members of the society. Soon Car and other material supports began to come in from people who were moved by the story of his blind wife.

It appeared that Emeka had no true love for his wife. He only wanted to used her handicap to achieve certain means. He disrespected the wife and turned her into a punching bag. She abused and insulted her and even beat her up when she was nine months pregnant. Each time Margaret complained about Emeka's shameful and amorous escapades with other women, it earned her severe beating of her life. Emeka usually called her names and warned her never to complain as it was a favour he rendered by leaving behind other beautiful and complete women to marry a blind witch like her.

Last year, Emeka secretly packed out of the house with the house help. His present residence is not known to Margret. She was abandoned all alone in a sprawling three bedroom flat. The rent of the house has already expired and the landlord had served her summon to vacate the apartment. She appealed to the landlord for time extension to enable her arrange for where to move in as she would be homeless if thrown out of the house now, but the landlord refused. In fact, the Landlords desperation to throw her out of the house was clearly shown in the manner he cut off water supply to the flat and electricity. In few days from now, Margret will be homeless. She has nowhere to go as both Mum and Dad are late.

On the month of June 2017, Emeka conspired with the daughter's cab driver to take her away from the mother. It was a psychological blow on Margret as her daughter is her bundle of joy and consolation. She hasn't seen her daughter again. She reported the matter to FIDA but all her efforts were frustrated by the compromised system. In her words " They were bunch of ' Scammists' who could be easily bought over by money". She lamented that there is so much compromise, ineptitude, mediocrity, and rot in the Justice system of this country. She said she was sorry to say it but that's facts.

Margret is therefore appealing to anyone that hears her story to help her secure the custody of her only child and to save her from a life of dependency by giving her a Job or something that can enable her attain financial independence in order to help her take good care of her daughter.
