Confirmed multiple reports have it that Augustin Agulegbu, the chief security officer (CSO) to late and dreaded serial killer Johnson Igwedibia fondly called Don Wanny - is dead. According to reports, Augustin was shot dead by officers of the department of Department of State Services (DSS) early hours of today.

The kidnap kingpin and mass murderer, Don Wanny was killed in his hideout in Enugu state earlier this year.

A combined team of troops of eighty-two Division Nigerian Army Enugu and personnel of DSS Rivers State Command raided the hideout to arrest him and his other accomplices. They attempted to escape through the back exit of the apartment and were shot down by the eagle eyed troops in the process.

The notorious gang of criminals murdered 23 peace loving citizens of Omoku in Rivers state when they were returning from Cross Over Service at about 1:30am on Monday 1st January 2018.

The CSO of Late Don Wanny who was amongst the 32 Cultists declared wanted by the State Security Council was killed following accurate DSS intelligence.

There was panic on Monday morning after a Vulcanizer identified as Nkere-Uta, allegedly slaughtered his wife, Bella with a machete in Mbiabam Ibiono Community, in Akwa Ibom State. According to reports, the deceased woman was a hard-working petty trader with five children and was said to be loved by those who knew her.

The reason for the man killing his wife is yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.

‎The Police Public Relations Officer, Akwa Ibom State, Odiko McDon, confirmed the incident. He said the suspect has been arrested by Itam Division of the Nigeria Police Force.

According to the Town Crier, when asked the motive behind the murder, Odiko replied via WhatsApp: "Investigation is in progress... U will be communicated Pls".

This is really funny. Kwara United head coach, Maji Mohammed slapped his counterpart, Katsina United's team manager Abdulahi Biffo in the Week 8 game of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) where the Ilorin based side won 2-1...

According to reports, trouble started after a Kwara United defender committed a foul in his own 18 yard box, but the referee pointed to the corner flag that it was corner-kick.

However, the Katsina United captain complained that it was a penalty and not a corner kick.

After the final whistle the Katsina coach entered the field to send his players out of the pitch not to cause fight, that was when the Kwara United coach rushed and unleashed a hot slap on him before the two men tried fighting...

People that were around them separated the fight which would have probably led to serious injury.

It was a black Sunday for residents of Keke-Agege community when an over speeding commercial bus driver accidentally smashed the head of a 5years old young girl and died on the spot.

The residents were thrown into morning after the fatal accident occurred. Business and other activities were paralysed in the area, as residents sympathize with the parent of the deceased.

According to reports, the particular street where the sad event occurred has been under serious threat by reckless Commercial Bus, Tricycle, Private Car Drivers and Motor cycle riders ever since the Street and adjoining streets were reconstructed by the Lagos State Government during the tenure of Governor Babatunde Fashola.

Congratulations are in order for Erons Osaretin and his lovely wife Ofure who tied the knot over the weekend in style. According to the husband's friend Hon Mathias who celebrated the latest couple, the pair had dated for 10 years before deciding to seal the union recently.

The three-minute advert is all about how youngsters who live in England's capital thrive in sport. Accrding to reports, the production was shot in London and featured as many as 258 young Londoners.

Alex Iwobi joined the likes of Harry Kane, Eden Hazard as they all featured in the advert while Skepta, Giggs and Michael Dapaah - the man who had a chart hit with 'Man's not hot' - also star with Jamie Redknapp and Ian Wright enjoying cameos.

A lady had to do the unexpected in a bid to protect her pin while using an ATM in Enugu state. The teacher (judging from the shirt she wore) used her handbag and a polythene bag to shield the public from seeing her details at the ATM. An internet user who was shocked by the woman's action shared the picture online - with different reactions trailing it.

There was pandemonium earlier this morning at NNPC petrol station in Ketu, Lagos after an officer with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, engaged in a fisticuffs with a resident in the area. The cause of their quarrel was not revealed as they challenged each other at the filling station in front of bystanders.

In the trending video footage, the SARS officer can be seen throwing a punch at the young man who reciprocated the gesture by hitting him back while getting himself ready for more action.

Other SARS officers who were at the scene had to calm their colleague down as people gathered in their numbers in support of the guy..

Troops of Guards Brigade Nigerian Army, deployed at Mararaba, Nasarawa state for Internal Security Operations have arrested a man with arms and ammunitions during a stop and search operation at the checkpoint on Thursday 8th February 2018.

The Suspect who gave his name as Mr Peter Iorlaha was apprehended with a bag containing 2 Locally made pistols, 1 locally made short gun, 2 rounds of 7.62mm (Special), 5 live cartridges, 2 torch lights, a screw driver, charms and a Tecno mobile handset.

During preliminary investigation, the suspect revealed that the weapons and other items were handed over to him by his uncle for safe keeping.

The suspect is currently under interrogation.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen reportedly killed the Officer-in-Charge of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Saki Unit in Oyo State Police Command. It was reported that the SARS boss, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, was killed on Tuesday night.

He was said to have been macheted to death by the Fulani herdsmen during an operation in a forest on the Saki-Ogbooro Road in Oke-Ogun area of the state.

A detective investigator with the Nigeria Police Force in Oyo state, Dhammy Rehob, shared a picture of the officer before his untimely demise.

This is very sad. A man simply identified as Zubaida Nuhu, has been found dead at Tamburawa river in a suspected case of suicide in Kano state. The postgraduate student of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, who was running a Masters programme at the Department of Water Resources Engineering and was about to start work in the same department as a graduate assistant, was found dead on Saturday.

A sand excavator, Ibrahim Musa, said the deceased arrived Tamburawa and asked for “the deepest part of the river.”

That was the last time anyone saw her alive.

Her step-father, Tajuddeen Alhaji, said Ms. Nuhu left home on Saturday to withdraw money for a journey to Zaria.

“On that fateful Saturday around 11.00 a.m she told her mother she wanted go to withdraw money from ATM. Few minutes later, she sent her phone and purse to her mother.

“Her mother called me around 4.00 p.m that Zubaida left home to withdraw money since 11.00 a.m but hasn’t comeback. Immediately I notified police and local radio stations,” he said.

Mr. Tajuddeen said later in the evening, he received a call notifying him of the discovery of a corpse of a female at Tamburawa river along Zaria road, Kano. When we checked, we found it was Zubaida’s corpse,” he said.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, has arrested 15 suspected Internet fraudsters for offences bordering on obtaining by false pretence, lottery scam and love scam. The suspects are: Adeyemi Tiwatope, 20; Odeyemi Olawale, 20; Nike Afolabi Olaiya, 20; Awe Abimbola Ireti, 23; Yusuf Aliu Oluwafemi, 20; Osidipe Olatunbosun, 24; Tosin Adesanya, 19 and Adeyinka Bello, 17.

Others are: Aliu Lukman, 18; Damilola Fatona, 20; Shonubi Adetola, 18; Adewale Babatunde, 17; Afolabi Lekan, 19; Awe Ayodele, 24 and Adeyemi Gbadebo, 19.

The suspects were arrested on Saturday, February 3, 2018 in the Shotubo and Awoluwo areas of Sagamu, Ogun State. Their arrest followed intelligence report received by the Commission about their criminal activities.
They were alleged to be living flamboyantly without legitimate sources of income.

Items recovered from the suspects include laptops, phones bearing scanned forged documents, six exotic cars, charms and SIM cards, among others.

Meanwhile, in a related development, the EFCC also recovered coffins, calabashes and gourds from the home of a suspected kingpin of a syndicate of fraudsters, Adesanya R. Olaoluwa, who is currently under the EFCC watch.
Olaoluwa is alleged to be a herbalist who performs rituals for fraudsters to hypnotise unsuspecting victims.

The suspects will soon be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

According to the a report by the game reserve, the dead a wild member of the pig family, was placed there by a leopard to keep its kill safe from competitors such as lion and hyena.

A pastor died yesterday after he drowned while baptising his church members in the river at Blood River village in Seshego outside Polokwane in South Africa.. According to reports, the pastor entered the flooded river and was swept away.

The church members who were about to be baptised, were left reeling from shock as they watched helplessly as the head of their church was swept away.

Police officers were called to the scene.

The body of the deceased pastor has been recovered. May his soul rest in peace.
