My advice, Nan up and confess to your babe if you truly lover her, then plead for forgiveness, promising not to cheat again. If she loves you, she'll forgive you even though it could take awhile.

This your babes friend might finally use this incidence against you in the nearest future.

Health / Re: My Daughter Has Hair Lice. by prettysom(f): 6:57pm On Nov 05, 2019
It happened to me earlier this year and I had to cut my hair to the lowest. It became unbearable as the itching was discomforting and I observed it on my 8 months old baby's hair then who has always itching and crying. Afterwards, I cleaned my house with hypo, changed my beddings. That was how it disappeared.
Family / Re: Help! Family Planning Keeps Failing Us, She Is Pregnant Twice This Year by prettysom(f): 1:02am On Oct 29, 2019
There are various family planning methods and they work differently for different people.
1st of all, which hospital does she go to take this injection to ensure it's the real thing.

There is a problem already because the family planning injectables are either for 2 months or 3 months. None lasts for 6 months. It's either she didn't hear well or the person is poorly trained.

She should go to a better hospital for better counsel and results.

You are very stupid truely.why compare ur kids progress with others .are u far better than your mates.can you be faster than nature.u should be happy that he hums and u here crying.woman pls delete this thread and go look after ur baby for noting wrong WITH him

I really don't think the insults are necessary, there is something called developmental milestones and it guides you in monitoring your childs growth and development, if between a particular age range your child cannot and is not trying to do the specified things for his or her age, as a parent there's need to bother and clear all doubts.
She's just a concerned parent looking out for the child.

I think you should be a bit worried now, cos at this stage he's supposed to blab and make sounds even though you don't understand. He's suppose to mimic you as well. The good news is he is not dumb and he's trying so hard to make sounds that's why he hums.
My advice is try get to a very good hospital and request to see a pediatrician let them confirm he doesn't have tongue tie cos that is one major factor that prevents children from talking. So they can also rule out any other issues.

Everything will be fine.

Health / Re: Caring For Yourself And Baby As a First Time Mum by prettysom(f): 9:37pm On Oct 21, 2019
beeijeoma:

My dear the pregnancy symptoms you are experiencing are normal and there is really nothing you can do about it. What I also noticed is that the older one gets the more exhausting pregnancy is. You alone know how you are feeling, don't let anyone make you feel like you are neglecting your duties. If you have the energy to do housework do it , if you cant leave it. When I was pregnant for number 3 I was on bedrest from 14 weeks till I delivered, my hubby had to do the cooking and shopping and caring for the older kids because we didn't have help. He did not complain because on a normal day I am not a lazy person, the situation just could not be helped. Hopefully all your symptoms will start to ease by the 2nd trimester and you will be strong enough to do stuff around the house.

Thanks dear

Thank you for enjoying my write up. Yes the thoughts are overwhelming . Fear of labor pain, fear of how to care for the baby , fear of if you will be a good mom. You are not alone it is the same for all FTM. Anytime I start getting scared back then I would just think of all the women that have kids and just be like this person did it, that person did it. Why would my case be different. You just have to push all those thoughts and fear out of your mind.

I am a realist and I don't like sugar coated information just give it to me the way it is. I don't know anything that can ease labor and delivery except epidural . If it is available in your hospital take it. My first two kids was normal delivery while my 3rd was with epidural. The epidural birth was completely pain free in fact I was watching TV till it was time to push. Labor and delivery is painful but it is not unbearable and it only last for some time. Its good to have a family member with you to help rub your back when the contractions come and in your mind just focus on the fact that the baby you have been growing inside you is almost here. As a FTM what surprised me most was not even the labor pain but the pushing part. I just felt the baby would slide out once you get to 10cm cervical dilation. Pushing the baby out is a bit tough as well and you have to get it right. I will do a write up on how to push during labor in a later post. Be strong and yow will be fine

Thank you so much Ma'am. Your messages are easily relatable as I experienced them in my first pregnancy. I'm currently pregnant with the 2nd. and in my 1st trimester but it hasn't been easy at all. I feel really exhausted, nauseous, vomiting, salivation, etc. I can barely do anything at home cos of the weakness and odour sensitivity that makes me throw up at the slightest offensive odour... What can I do to ease this tension and become useful in my home. I'm just tired cos I feel people around me don't understand and are getting exhausted too.

I also want to ask about the epidural because they offered it to me in my first pregnancy and I declined cos I was scared of Complications and stuff like that. Thanks

You're blaming it on family planning, What kind of family planning did you use?
Please don't tamper with that baby before you live to regret it.
Just find a help for your wife, to enable her cope better. Then after she delivers, you can do implants or IUD. That one can help prevent future occurrence till you're ready.

Did she breast feed your first baby? If no, what was her excuse... this would have given you an insight.

Baby can be breast fed by an adherent mother and remain negative. We even encourage exclusive breast feeding.

Enemy of peace, my job is all about managing HIV patients. That is what I do everyday. And this is similar to what we see on a regular bases. All I said is fact based. So you can use your parents for rituals now.

SayginSA:

if what you are saying is true, then you are lying when you say you are HIV negative. Also what kind of hospital system is that allows you to be exposed to such a danger? Don't you have Social workers in Nigerian hospitals? In such situation in SA,hospital stuff would have gotten social workers would have interven. Dude stop lying to yourself that you are negative ,go to a private hospital and get a proper tests. Also if she was breastfeeding your son, then get him tested too and tell her not to breastfeed your new baby (if you both test negative, then your wife is HIV nefative too). Test every three months for a year,to be 100% sure. There is no single human being who is immune to HIV,not even those with strong immune systems.

On the contrary Oga, once your partner is HIV Positive and is consistent with his or her drugs and the person has a viral load of less than 1000 copies/ml. The virus can not be transmitted to the partner and even others who come in contact with the blood. So it is 100% possible that he is negative. Thank you.
Family / Re: My Wife Tricked Into Marrying Her After Discovering She is HIV Positive by prettysom(f): 5:48pm On Sep 27, 2019
You've really done well sir, by keeping calm up till now. Please forgive her and let this issue slide, I'm sure she was afraid of being stigmatized, that was why she hid it. This woman has been trying and you're still negative because she has been taking her medics judiciously. Please just encourage and support her to continue taking her medics and check her viral load to know her current state of health. HIV Is not a death sentence. Once she continues with her drugs, you and your children will still be negative.

Wow, i just search for this online and this link popped up. It feels so much better to know am not facing this alone. I manage mine by ensuring that my bed linens, towel, bathroom clothes are clean at all times, cos they tend to trigger the itch when dirty. Before i go to bathe, i sweep my room, keep a clean rag around to dry my feet, arrange my bed and bring out the clothes i need to wear. After bathing i clean my body in the room and apply body cream immediately, it helps to resolve the itch faster. Thank you so much.
