Hello house. My question is on this quote from the checklist "official German declaration of sponsorship („Verpflichtungserklärung“) for the
purpose of studies/ language course given before the competent German authority
(Please note: Financing is usually only secured if declarant resides in Germany)"

I have a family member residing in Germany with her family. does she need to be earning a certain amount monthly in order to qualify to provide this SL for me. If so, please I will like to have a link to such condition cos I have searched the embassy site in order to get a concrete info to guide her accordingly apart from the quote above.
There is no link with such conditions and yes they normal consider the household of the relative in Germany. Example a family of 2 should earn from 2500euros per month, the amount go up according number of people in the family.

Also they check if the person is not getting Sozialleistungen(Hartz 4) or Arbeitlosgeld from the government

The precise requirements ur relative can get it from Ausländeramt in her city

Is it possible to apply for visa before admission is given by the university.

This is assuming resumption date is September and admission has not been given yet as at this time?

Thanks
I don’t think you can get appointment without admission, please read the visa requirements and how to obtain appointment for student visa

Good day house and gurus....pls are there skuls still accepting applications?
Don’t mean to be negative, if u re about to apply for winter semester I will advice u shouldn’t, cuz appointment date for visa application might have been full by now and also FH re resuming ending of September and Uni first week of October there about.... securing admission and visa application within short period of time is not advisable.

Just saying

Thanks for your reply, please Apart from saying I had a modest first-degree grade which other reasons do you think I could use to convince the VO
I don’t know ur area of specialization but u have to explain, ur experience in school and why ur result is how it is. For example ur UG studies are based on theorical knowledge and very little or no practical knowledge of what u re studying, Mech. Eng Studenten work closely with Engineering companies and re allowed to choose more than one area of specialization like Verbrennungsmotoren, Strömungsmaschinen,Werkzeugmaschine, werkstofftechnik, Finite Element Methode, CAD etc. which re the basic fundamentals of an Eng. and all this u Lack during ur UG

Print ur UG Modul and that u re apply for in Germany u find a lot to explain to the VO

Let them know with the quality of education it’s cheaper to study in Germany than in Nigeria, Incase they asked why repeating in Germany also Germans re one of the best in Engineering ( please don’t say their the best but one of the best, it sound realistic)

Hello Everyone,

Happy Sunday everyone, I want to ask this, can someone that is eligible to give sponsorship letter for study purpose, still be able to give the sponsorship letter, while his is in Nigeria now. His is not presently in Germany and he is not going back that soon because of some project he is headlining in Nigeria. He is a German Citizen and works in Germany. Can he get this sponsorship letter here in Nigeria.

Your input on this concern will be highly appreciated

Thank You.
No he can’t, cuz he has to show how much he earn per month, his living situation in Germany and the documents has to be signed by him in person at Ausländerbehorde ( sorry don’t know what’s called in English)

Application for the sponsorship letter is about 25-30 euros

I don’t know if he contact the Nigeria embassy it might be possible but I doubt.

I couldn’t get an admission into a masters program in German because of my cgpa 2.61,and 2.7 in German scale,I opted for a business and engineering bachelors in FHWS Schweinfurt.i have a first degree in mechanical engineering.i want to know if it’s a red flag for a German study visa , since both bachelor programs are all related to engineering
No it’s not, u need 2,5 Deutsche note to get into masters in Mechanical Engineering....so u have good reason for going for another BEng.

To those who re coming this winter...make unahhh take time enjoy Nigeria food oo..cuz food here no get taste especially chicken and porkmeat also eat enough fish cuz fish here cost, if possible carry dried one from Nigeria come.

Buy jeans from Nigeria, the cheapest jeans here nah from 40 euros and even that one nah Angebot u go find hamm.

If u don’t know anyone and u re planning to stay in hotel, I will advice u to look for Pension Zimmer or jugendherberge they re cheaper than hotel pending when u get apartments

Install Deutschebahn App and also google map on ur phone u will always need them.

If u buy any bottle or can drink always check if it’s Pfandflasche cuz if u throw it away u re throwing 25cent away..lol

The rest u will figure out urself here.

I don't think its about age cos I have see people far older granted visa for BSc but the 2.1 is just the concern and the fact that its in the same or related descipline is just my concern minus that he's good to go
With all the comments and arguments I think she knows by now what to do and if her result is as good as she said I don’t see any reason why she won’t get admission into master program.

But if she choose to risk going for Bsc then there is about 85% chances of getting denied a visa

What makes it hard for him to convince the vo, is it the fact that he is 36 or is going for another bsc?
If you re his/her VO give me 5 reasons you will give him visa to repeat a course which he already graduated from with 2.1

Enrollment deadline is not stated on my acceptance letter but the semesters start on the 15, which gives the embassy 27 days to process after my interview on the 18th of september. please I which to knw how many days those it takes the embassy to Issue visa after approval mail because it don't used to take morethan 3weeks for my school city alien office used to give approval
If u get email from the embassy to come with insurance and ur passport, once u provide them with that then u get ur visa same day.

Back in 2013 got email from embassy, went there the next day got my visa same day.

Good evening Guru's in d forum....I was given 18th of September as my interview date at d embassy and its stated in my Acceptance letter that students introductory day starts from 8-12 and the semesters start 15th of October without enrollment deadline written inside my acceptance letter......After securing appointment scheduled i mailed my programme coordinator that i would enrol late October that due to Administrative problem in my country embassy dat i was given late appointment schedule that it takes the embassy 3-4 weeks to issue visa after my interview without getting any reply from her.....Your option house
Embassy needs 3-4 weeks to issue out visa that a standard procedure...is either the school extend your enrollment date or you get earlier appointment with the embassy( which might be alittle tricky)

But with your current situation, you might not get the visa cuz no enough time duration for the process..

Anyway all the best

Hello Good friends,

I sincerely need your candid advice in this my situation:
I am going for another B.Sc in Germany which is closely related to the B.Sc I had already attained in Nigeria.
I have not heard from the M.Sc applications I made.
I got a B.Sc admission yesterday and I planned to proceed with it.

my challenge is that our family friend who suppose to provide Sponsorship letter is objecting.

he said that since the B.Sc I had in Nigeria is OK (2.1) and also considering my age (36) that embassy may deny me visa.

I have been reading this thread and I don't know if he is right.

please has anyone in my situation successfully gotten A.M with SL?
I will advice you to be patient and wait for your master admission and your sponsor is right your chances re very slim if you proceed no matter how much you can defend yourself it’s only show you re desperate to leave the country...

good day friends, i just learnt about this forum recently. pls i really need a help. i just received an admission later , i got a relative in german . i would like to know what i need to have in other to have a chance of successful visa interview. most visa interviewtake place in abuja because i reside in lagos. thanks and God bless u all.
It depends if u re applying for Bachelor or Masters and if the course of ur choice is in Deutsch ( u need Minimum of B1 in German language) or in English (might need toefl or other English test)

For Bachelor

If u re applying with ur Waec, u won’t get direct admission, u will first attend Studienkolleg
If u re applying with ND or higher u might get direct admission

For masters
U need ur Bsc and other requirements depending on the course

Visit daad website for more info and also read the visa requirements for students visa application

Just got a mail from Bayreuth they are asking for GRE general test score.. Please what does that mean?
Did you apply to any other schools cuz Bayern is complicated with admission requirements..even they don’t accept some certificate from other German state.

But if you need info to GRE just google Hamm it’s just some general standard test for graduate students.
