PoliticsRe: No Nigerian Should Cry For Oby Ezekwesili.-Reno Omokri by prixm: 9:33pm On Jun 27, 2018
Dear Madam Oby remains my hero anyday. Too many children on this forum do not know their left from their right. This is an accomplished woman who can afford not to get involved. She can comfortably sit at her home like everyone else is doing, but no, she is too aware and enlightened about the consequence of such attitude, so she choose to stick her neck out again for the masses of our people. When the roll is called about those who did something to correct the ills of our society, most certainly, her name will be mentioned.
TravelRe: Lagos Airport: Immigration Imposes $90 Visa-on-arrival Charge On Foreigners by prixm: 5:51am On Jun 26, 2018
Whoever is responsible for this decision is an enemy of progress of this nation. With all the reported killings who wants to come to Nigeria in the first place. To now add fuel to fire you impose an embarrassing charge again. What cruelty? Why do you simply want to frustrate visitors to our country unnecessarily. One can't but be tired of this country. One step forward, five backwards. I sincerely hope the people making decisions for us are not completely brainless.
FamilyRe: My Experience - The Scourge Of PHCN Estimated Billing by prixm: 2:55pm On Jun 20, 2018
Thanks op. I'm suffering the same thing right now. My bill has never exceeded 5,000 until the post paid meter became faulty about 5 months ago, since then I've been getting estimated billing of =N25,000. I will take the op's advice by taking it up dilligently with the appropriate authorities.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Abubakar's Chatham House Full Speech by prixm: 7:18pm On Apr 25, 2018
I'm beginning to love this man. I have no doubt anymore that this is not mere political talk. If this man ever become the president, he will restructure Nigeria. If this man has brains to run big businesses then he surely towers over others whose only claim to super wealth is embezzlement and graft. If the claim that he had big businesses even before he became the vice president is true then he should also be far better than many leaders who have no history of capacity to run anything.
PoliticsRe: Donald Duke Indicates Interest To Run For President In 2019 by prixm: 8:23pm On Jan 16, 2018
I pray one party will present this quality of candidate at the presidential election. Even if he is broke we will support him with everything possible; money and more importantly vigorous campaign. THIS NEWS HAS RAISED MY HOPE ALREADY. Maybe Nigeria can become a country we can be proud of and not a "shithole".
BusinessRe: Innoson Vs Gtbank: 30 Key Points To Know About Their Dispute by prixm: 7:26pm On Dec 20, 2017
Thank God someone has the nerve to resist the several criminal oppression of Nigerian banks. Every one who has ordered forensic audit of their accounts in Nigeria always come out with a verdict of overcharges. I hope with this revelation more people will be inspired to stand up to the banks and compel them to reverse some of the overcharges. Substantial part of the profit declared by banks come from overcharges.
PoliticsRe: Ambode Commissions Multiple Lay-by, Slip Road In Ketu by prixm: 10:51pm On Nov 12, 2017
Kudos, Mr Governor. We appreciate your genius ideas. The lay-bys has been amazing. Berger, Ajah junction and Oshodi terminus (ongoing) etc. has all made Lagos a more interesting place. Success of Electronic Certificate of Occupancy under your watch. Even the blind can see you are doing your best to take Lagos to higher heights.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Must Restructure — Bola Tinubu by prixm: 2:41pm On Sep 24, 2017
It is indeed a good thing that Tinubu is now supporting restructuring.
Last time I checked he was against it. I pray soon enough Obasanjo will also see reason in rejigging the present horrible structure of Nigeria.
If these two major voices will lend their sincere and committed support to the clamour, be assured a more equitable Nigeria will be born.
Christianity EtcRe: What Is Your Best Bible Verse? by prixm: 2:21pm On Sep 17, 2017
2Cor. 5:17
Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature.
This defines the dividing line between the old man and the new man in Christ and the distinction between the old testament and the new testament.
The accurate understanding of this verse will open any christian to the realities of the new testament
PoliticsRe: Buhari Insulted And Threatened Nigerians On His Speech This Morning - FFK by prixm: 12:21am On Aug 22, 2017
FFK, I absolutely agree with you on this one. While intellectuals will engage the potent tool of reasoning together, mediocre persons will resort to force. I feel very sorry for Nigeria. Why is it not clear to everyone that you cannot force free people into a marriage, it is only slaves; weak and helpless people, that you can force into marriage without their consent. People who confidently claim that there is a consensus of the ethnic groups in Nigeria to stay together should not be afraid to allow their claim to be put to test by a referendum. I have no doubt that except reason is allowed to prevail over force, the enlightened community will no longer accept a live of servitude that the current arrangement imposes on citizens from the southern part of the country.
Christianity EtcRe: "Aso Rock Is Vacant, Osinbajo Struggling With Cabal" – Primate Elijah Ayodele by prixm: 2:51pm On Jul 16, 2017
This is certainly not a prophecy. This is plain permutation. Why claim to talk as a prophet when you can simply claim that you are talking like a political analyst. Prophets are citizens too and are therefore allowed to comment like everyone else.
PoliticsRe: Prepare For Break-up, Afenifere Tells North by prixm: 8:56am On May 23, 2017
If the North indeed has the population that it is said to have, then they should not be afraid of restructuring. Population is related to commerce. Anywhere you see large population, if the people are well guided, that economy is bound to soar. The reality is that forced marriage is not a marriage because marriage connotes cohesion and cooperation for the success of the union. Forced marriage on the contrary connotes selfish personal agenda which will ultimately truncate the journey of the union. RESTRUCTURING IS THE ONLY WAY TO GO FOR NIGERIA OTHERWISE IT WILL BREAK UP. If the north is as large as the figures in our census, all they need is great leadership to turn things around. As human beings with dignity, the label of parasites should not be acceptable to a North that produced a Dangote. Yes, there is mass illiteracy and poverty in the North right now, the leaders of the people should take the challenge to harness the human resources to turn things around. AS A PROUD AFRICAN MAN, I'M HONESTLY ASHAMED FOR THE NORTH. THE NORTH MUST COURAGEOUSLY FACE THEIR FUTURE AND TAKE BOLD STEPS TO DROP THE TOGA OF ''THE DEPENDENT ONES'' IN THE UNION. When I look at the future of the North of Nigeria, all I see is greatness.

PoliticsRe: The Black Africans Who Ruled Europe From 711 To 1789 - Pics by prixm: 3:24am On Apr 07, 2017
This is definitely the most exciting thread I've read in recent times. This is so inspiring for me. No matter what the whites want us to believe about ourselves, the pictorial evidence on this thread cannot just be ignored. There should be a way to circulate this information to the length and breadth of the world. Black people with capacity should make this happen. This kind of information will definitely influence positively inferiority mentality of black men all over the world.
BusinessRe: Naira Overvalued By 20%, Says IMF by prixm: 7:03pm On Apr 06, 2017
[quote author=LordAdam16 post=55310224]Stop lying.

The Egyptian central bank recently forecasted further appreciation of the Egyptian pound. Consumer confidence is not at an all time low. Egyptian foreign reserve has grown to $28.5b--the highest since 2011.

I wonder what you gain from lies. The same you calling the $9b surge in FDI a surge from "criminal international capitalists" is the same person who'd be talking about stabilizing the naira so the same "criminal international capitalists" can bring their money to the real and portfolio sectors of the Nigerian economy.

How can you demonize something you desperately ask for?

The IMF has asked the CBN to devalue since 2014. After the initial stubbornness, the CBN eventual did a managed float. So, what kind of sick patriotism are you talking about. Nigeria will eventually float the naira fully. Taking that pill now that the fall is estimated to be less than 20% is better than waiting until another oil price war happens between Saudi Arabia and the US.

The IMF has its interest, and Nigeria should have our interest. If a free float should be a way to attract FDI and reduce pressure on our reserves, then we should take advantage of it.

When the IMF recommended SAP to Babaginda in 1987, the IMF did not ask Babangida to stealing over $12b in one year in 1991 (the gulf war windfall). Between 1987 and today Nigerian leaders have stolen over $150b. Yet you people have a way of blaming the IMF for recommending SAP, when it was our leaders that ruined the implementation.

If our leaders can't look out for Nigerian interest, why should the IMF look out for our interest?

Or do you think the IMF is actually NCF (Nigerian Charity Fund)?

Buhari claims to have released N1t directly into the economy in 2016. Did you feel it?
It took us 18 months to come out with an Economic plan... 18 months. Is that one the fault of the IMF too?
Or when Buhari was maintaining hard stance with the NDA last month that cost us of over $20b in oil revenue. Was that one the fault of the IMF too?

You have stupid leaders and an equally unserious populace and you want IMF to do everything for you. I've never seen an entitled people like Nigerians before. Everyone is supposed to queue at the opportunity to lick your ass when you keep defecating all over the place.

You have the BRICS and other nations in the G20 and OECD that used IMF to climb the ladder to stardom and in some cases ingenuously tip-toed around the IMF. Yet your ignorant self thinks it is about a we-versus-them game. US still trades heavily with China and Russia (practically sworn enemies). If we can't use the IMF to further our own agenda then yes we deserve wherever we are.

Tell your leaders to GTFO their ass, start working, stop stealing, and then taking the same proceeds to countries that call the shot in the IMF (the IMF would use our leaders stolen money as backing to give us loans in the end). Stop being the mindless simpletons the industrialized world sees us as.

It was Nigeria that ran to the IMF for loans. The IMF did not come to us.

Now that you are pushing that we should dance to IMF's music, is our country corruption-free enough to make their recommendations work (that is if we even want to follow your claim that IMF is the best bride for us right now). I maintain that IMF's record of success is so abysmal that one can only tell them to keep their advise for those unwise enough to believe them.
BusinessRe: Naira Overvalued By 20%, Says IMF by prixm: 7:40am On Apr 06, 2017
IMF should be ignored. Their love for Nigeria is fake. It is an establishment of the West and like to portray itself as having the interest of countries like Nigeria at heart, if you dig deep enough you will discover that they mean more harm than good. When we accepted SAP under Babangida, they made the blueprint look good, look at us today, we have been going down ever since. Countries like Malaysia refused their advise and intervention, look at where they are today. What is the track record of IMF. Among the so many developing countries that IMF has offered solutions to their economic problem, how many are better for it. IMF should allow us our home grown solutions. Our oil earnings is better and there is reduction in waste and how our common wealth is diverted to peolple's pocket. Agric product and allied export is increasing, surely all these should have some positive impact on our economy no matter what the IMFs of this world like to say. IMF and WORLD BANK, FEAR THEM!
RomanceRe: How To Know If He Truly Wants A Possible Future With You. by prixm: 3:37pm On Dec 29, 2016
I cannot agree with you more. Any man who is truly interested in committing to you will not hesitate in meeting your parents and family. Most men will decline or avoid situation that will bring them to meet their girlfriend or fiancee's parents until they are sure. So, willingness of your boyfriend or fiance to meet your parents is ONE indication that he is taking the relationship very serious.

Sahara reporters has confirmed itself again as a junk journalism platform.
How did this promising organization lose it. It looks like they have now developed an unnatural appetite for peddling falsehood.
I have personally confirmed the story to be false. Anyone pushing sahara reporters' story is still basing his/her judgement on their old reputation.
I'm indeed saddened by what SR has become.
EducationRe: EFCC Arrests Adebiyi Daramola FUTA VC And Bursar, Oresegun by prixm: 3:28am On Oct 06, 2016
EFCC should face more serious allegations than wasting taxpayers money on a VC taking furniture and housing allowance. What happened to all the cases involving billions, has anything come out of it? EFCC should get its act together and focus. Pursue and get result especially on cases involving billions. That will be more strategic than chasing a VC taking furniture and housing allowance.
CrimeShocking! Efcc Has No Tracking Device by prixm(op): 9:37am On Mar 18, 2016
I was at the EFCC office yesterday to follow up a fraud case. For more than 6 months now we have been trying to arrest the suspect who has vacated his residence as at the time he committed the crime for another house in Lagos which we do not know. Yesterday again they told me the story they have been telling me for months, if I can give them information about where he is, they would immediately follow me to effect his arrest. I complained bitterly about passing their responsibility as investigators to me, a simple civilian, who was just unfortunate enough to allow himself to be defrauded. They apologised that while they sympathise with me, they simply do not have the personnel to be able to go after every suspect as I expected. When I suggested using tracking device to track his phone or car, to my uttermost shock, EFCC, the major anti-fraud agency in Nigeria, doing cases that sometimes runs into billions of Naira, DO NOT HAVE TRACKING DEVICE. What exactly is wrong with us. Are we so poor that a Federal institution like EFCC will lack the right tools to work. How can you do manually what the whole world is using technology to drive and you will hope to be effective. Even if we don't have money, can't we use a percentage of the money recovered by the same organization to fund it. A butcher cannot be effective using blunt knives. If we cannot track a suspect who is living in Lagos down in 6 months, it must be pretty safe to be a duper in Nigeria than in countries where law enforcement agents can track you in 24 hours. If this government will not fund the agency that is the arrowhead of its anti-corruption campaign, it should give everyone serious concern. I think well to do Nigerians who would want to discourage fraud should come to the aid of EFCC. Lagos State government can also use part of the security fund to support EFCC in acquiring required equipment to also reduce fraud in Lagos in addition to armed robbery or give EFCC free access to the tracking device used by police in Lagos State.

Marriage is a long journey and you need a lot of trust on the way. She has lost your trust and you will always be anxious in that relationship. It is the mercy of God that led you to this revelation. I will implore you not to live in denial. You know the right decision to make, so go ahead and make it.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Produced Most Embarrassing Budget In History- Saharareporters by prixm: 12:05am On Feb 18, 2016
The budget is indeed an embarrassment to put it mildly. Of all the blunders so far, none is as demoralising as this mindless budget with so many irrational listing at this very difficult time in the financial life of our country. This is not at all the change we campaigned and voted for.

Sorry madam, you ought to have taken it up immediately. Getting into your clothes and leaving quietly will give the guy the impression you enjoyed the handling. He is going to do the same to other women and you too if you go again for another check. Taking it up with him would have ended such nonsense and safe the next woman from the same embarrassment. I don't think complaining to your husband now will help in anyway. You should go back there and complain to whoever is in authority in that place and ensure the guy is called to order.

The court of law sometimes is not the court of justice. The lesson here is for the national assembly to take it upon itself to give the card reader legal teeth such that in our next election the device that was introduced to give our election credibility and transparency will not be thrown to the garbage by the supreme court.
PoliticsRe: Is Obasanjo Trying To Take Over SW Political Leadership From Tinubu? by prixm: 8:07am On Feb 06, 2016
The Yorubas know their leader, certainly it is not Obasanjo. The only reason the man was able to win his ward for APC in the election was because he aligned with the people. Until now, he has no special interest in the progress of the Yoruba people. Except he has changed, what we remember is that he has worked against the interest of the Yoruba people on more than one occasion. For example, he worked against Awolowo in 1979 elections, worked against MKO in 1993, held back Lagos State allocation for so many years when he was president not minding the crippling effect of his action on the people. A few people claimed that he (Obasanjo) is passionate about Nigeria, I believe differently, I believe Obasanjo is passionate about a Nigeria where he is either the president/leader or the one controlling the president/leader.
PoliticsRe: #nigeriaasks: Who Owns All These Properties? by prixm: 7:47am On Feb 06, 2016
That is what I use to think also. I was shocked when I discovered that Oriental Hotel is largely owned by Chinese owners of WEMCO Industries in Ogba, Lagos. Renaissance Hotel is owned by a relatively unknown man (Got the info from the agent who helped the man acquire the land). FirstNation Airline is owned by the same owners of Bellview Airlines (you can take that to the bank). I agree some items on the list are true but I sincerely feel that the media people of BAT should clear the air on some of these claims and not allow the rumours to fester to the point that we all believe them to be true.
PoliticsRe: Blame IBB For The Weak Naira-buhari by prixm: 8:35pm On Feb 05, 2016
Well said Mr President. You hit the nail on the head. You don't have to be an expert in Economics to arrive at that conclusion. Every country that IMF/World Bank sold that dummy to got their economy ruined. We have to wise up to the fact that these institutions may not be sincere in their claim to want to help us achieve greatness. If we have to do business with them at all we do it with our two eyes open. SAP was the beginning of the decline of the value of our Naira, it has not recovered since.

PoliticsRe: I Respect Obasanjo But He Introduced Bribery To The National Assembly-melaye by prixm: 11:05pm On Jan 28, 2016
Senator Dino, what Nigerians expect from you is to address the issue Baba Obj raised. Is it right at this very grave time for our legislators who have been given vehicle allowance (to enable them purchase cars to make their work easy) to budget N4.7b for vehicles again. Baba Obj suggested that the legislators should render to Nigerians service for which they were voted into both houses. In this dire situation, everybody in government; executive, legislature, judiciary, should cut down waste and frivolous expenditure and settle for basic needs that the country may be able to afford right now.

Senator Dino, our memory is not that short, we have not forgotten so many evil Baba Obj represent for this country even though he likes to imagine that he is the true nationalist. He is in denial, alone, because everybody else knows him for who he is.

I can see you are barely literate, that is why you could be so intimidated by the woman's "pedigree" to the extent of not being able to reason properly. She ought to have used her so called international exposure to have done things properly following the right procedure. She ought to have stood her ground and not accede to the barbarism that went on under her watch. If she had the pedigree as claimed she ought to be able to control the recklessness of her boss or drop the job if they refuse to listen to her.
