I'm in Lagos. For me and my family, nuclear and extended, it is OBI all the way. |
I have no doubt which party will win the 2023 presidential election between APC, PDP, NNPP and the people. The people are not blind, we can see clearly that Peter Obi is representing us. |
God bless you Pat Utomi for being so gracious at this momentous time in our history. If the Peter Obi project succeeds it will be because of what you did at this moment. It is not only the youth who are OBI - dient, a lot of my associates who are late 40s to 60s (mostly Yorubas) are also part and parcel of the movement. I believe if we all play our roles we will witness in our lifetime the citizens truly taking power from the "politicians". Nigeria needs an Obi reset right now. |
This is wrong. A peck is good, even a peck on the lips. Holding your wife's buttocks or passionate kiss in front of your kids or in public is below decency. |
Since there is no direct condemnation of the shooting and killings of the protesters at the Lekki protest grounds by soldiers of the Nigeria Army, one can infer that they are either following the president's order or he is well in support of their action. Very unfortunately! |
Mr FFK, You need to grow up. Declaring that you have a short fuse is so immature. To the question you asked several times, " Do you know who I am?" The answer is simple; You are one average man who was promoted to an exalted position of minister by Obasanjo. The appointment was not earned but bestowed. Yes, you are a lawyer. Average lawyer like so many. As a self confessed christian I expect more grace from you than this. |

If this allegation is coming from someone that is clear headed, it will be believable, but coming from a cantankerous person like Kemi Olunloyo, just forget it! |
Watch it young lady! This guy could be psycho. Greeting Good evening at odd hours of the morning when he should be sleeping is suspect. The pattern of communication doesn't add up. There is enough green light in the response for even a shy guy to take a cue from. Tread carefully! |
By her actions this lady believes she is doing you a favour by being with you. That is a vitally wrong concept. If she carries on with this mentality, there is trouble ahead. I believe she may have some qualities that stand her out and endear her to you, as her future husband except she place premium value on you, you will suffer in the relationship. |
Leadership Newspaper A Nigerian pharmacist and proponent of alternative medicine, Ben Amodu, has said that he has formulated drugs that can cure the raging pandemic COVID-19. Amodu said three of the drugs he had manufactured possessed properties that could cure victims of the dreaded disease even as he claimed that the drugs had cured three patients exhibiting the symptoms of the new coronavirus. The foremost pharmacist made the revelation in an interview in Abuja. Amodu who is the proprietor of Africa Alternative Medicine Hospital and a Fellow of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria said that one of his drugs for cure of malaria fever and typhoid, SAABMAL, is more effective than chloroquine. He said, “It is listed by NAFDAC and it is in the market doing very well. It cures malaria within a few hours of use and even typhoid. And now it can prevent and cure coronavirus.” According to the foremost pharmacist, the drug which beat chloroquine in an international forum in Addis Ababa was tested in suppressive, provilative and creative tests and that it has 95 per cent effectiveness against f.persiferium which is a positive agent of malaria adding that it is also an absolvent in the treatment of many diseases. He, however, fingered lack of faith in alternative medicine by the government as the bane in handling the COVID-19. “I am a lead phitomedicine researcher. Immediately the pandemic broke out, the honourable minister of science and technology issued a statement that whosoever is a local researcher that has knowledge in this area should write to his office. I was the first person to contact them.” He disclosed that despite this, the office of the minister had not reached out to him even when he reminded him of his claims after a long wait. He said, “SAABMAL which had been listed more than 10 years ago is for malaria and typhoid and by latest discovery now, it can cure corona virus.” According to Amodu, “SAABFAT6 takes care of and prevent cancer of the lungs, pneumonia and fibrosis. It boosts immunity. So far, the combo of my three products are fantastic. I have two vaccines for Nigeria which I had given the government to test.” He decried the condescension, which Nigeria regards its own adding, “my research work is just the same Nigeria wants to get from other countries. Nigerians should know that what we have is better than what the world has. I always subject my product to analysis in line with best practices. I appeared in NTA Panorama and promised to produce malaria drugs that would be the best in the world and it has come to past. We sent SAABMAL to America for analysis then an American publisher exposed our product’s details to the world. Also WHO sponsored us to the UN to present it and the presentation was for suppression, prevention and cure of malaria. Compared to the standard of chloroquine arthemytanin.” |
Madagascar has donated the herbal potion that it claims cures coronavirus or COVID-19 pandemic patients to Central African country of Equatorial Guinea, local media reported on Thursday. A consignment of 11,5000 packets weighing 1.5 tons of Covid Organics (CVO) – a form of herbal tea was shipped to Equatorial Guinea. Out of this, 1,500 packets are for curative treatment and 10,000 for preventive healing. “Equatorial Guinea wanted to be the first country to recognize and use this remedy discovered by Malagasy researchers. And we hope that health cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthened, " said La Verite, a newspaper quoting Mitoha Ondo'o Ayekaba Equatorial Guinea's deputy minister of health. Equatorial Guinea, with a population of 1.3 million has 315 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far, with one death, and nine recoveries, according to figures compiled by the US-based Johns Hopkins University. Last week, Malagasy President Andry Rajoelina officially launched the CVO, a herbal concoction claiming that it can prevent and cure patients suffering from coronavirus. The drug has been developed by the Malagasy Institute of Applied Research. Rajoelina has directed to distribute the drink free of charge to the most vulnerable and sell it at very low prices to others. According to information from the Presidency of the Republic of Madagascar, three African countries Senegal, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Guinea Bissau have shown interest in the CVO. |
Obi is by far the most competent person on the list. You need more than knowledge of law or politics to govern successfully. |
Eat well; balance diet. Sleep enough; if you can afford it sleep up to 8 hours. Drop worries and fears; Live fearlessly and without any kind of anxiety. Last but not the least, if you are born again, declare that your body is responding appropriately to food and your efforts. God bless you. |
Tinubu miss it completely this time. This guy is no governor material. Tinubu buried governance on the altar of loyalty. Very unfortunate. |
I was shocked today to learn that it is principle of reciprocity that limit the maximum number of years of our U. S. visa to 2 years. The maximum visa that Nigeria grants U. S. citizens is 2 years, that is why U. S. in reciprocity grants Nigerian citizens a maximum also of 2 years visa. A Nigerian who has lived in Australian and who had a 10 year visa when he was in Australia said he once asked a Consular officer to explain to him why he got a 10 year visa while in Australia and despite the fact that his status has greatly increased he could only get a 2 year visa here. It was the Consular officer who then explained to him that U. S. operate based on principle of reciprocity. Since we don't stand to lose anything and rather stand to even gain from it, can we all through every available means pray on the Ministry of Internal Affairs now that it is headed by a dynamic man in the person of Aregbesola to kindly increase the number of years of visa allowed for U.S. citizens who wish to visit Nigeria so that they can reciprocate by increasing that of Nigerians too. This will save us the headache of visa "wahala" every two years for those who visit U. S. |
I'm going to assume you are a christian who doesn't want to have an extra marital affair which would have simply solved the problem. Many christian husbands have this experience of not being appreciated enough by their wives, especially wives that did not wait for long in the spinsters' market before they got a husband. My sincere advise is: (1.) Make alternative arrangement how your daughter will get to school. (2.) Move out of your house for 2 months. You can rent a small apartment if you can afford it or move in with a friend who is living alone or take a short stay accommodation. By all means move out for two months, pretend you are so pissed you need some space. Pretend you are moving on. Force yourself over this period to act strong emotionally but don't fail in providing for the family as a responsible husband and father. If she doesn't care even when it looks like she could lose you then I don't know what else you could do. I bet you this will work if you do it well. It will be a worthwhile investment for your marriage over time. Don't jump back the moment she start apologising and pleading for you to come back. Allow the message to sink in deep. You can go back home sooner than two months if you are sure you already have the desired result. Good luck. |
Listen very carefully. I can see from your post that you are from a christian family. The reality is that the type of prophet your people contacted and his/her prophecy belong to the old testament. Basing your life on this type of prophecy has so many complications. I can tell you because I have been there. My honest advice is that you get genuinely born again and dip yourself in the study of God's word. The genuinely born again man does not need the the type of prophet above because he is acquainted with God's word and he has the Holy Spirit resident inside his heart so he is guided directly by the Holy Spirit that is alive in his live. There is no prophecy that is higher than God's word (2 Peter 1:19). Remember Prov. 18:22; It is who finds a wife by himself not whom God or prophet helps to find a wife. When the Spirit is alive in you, His witness will confirm to you when you find your wife. Contrary to what many of us thought before, by wanting God to give us by Himself, the popular "bone of our bone" by some supernatural interventions such as dreams, visions, prophets, etc, we have come to discover that God has given us the privilege to make the choice by ourselves guided by the Holy Spirit within us. God by His Spirit has taken abode inside of you (as a born again man) so there is absolutely no need for a MEDIUM or PROPHET or INTERMEDIARY between God (your father) and you (His son). |
True federalism or we go our different ways. Simple, sound and logical submission. |
Littleman123:Mr Littleman, I guess you are not a very intelligent person, so I will take time to explain to you. No matter your view of FFK, it is obvious that the Deji's group appears like people protesting peacefully while the second group are plainly pro-Buhari protesters, most likely illiterates who may not even know the meaning of what is written on the placards they were carrying. The mission of the second group is simply to disrupt or stop the genuine protesters. |
This is another sad day for this country. We are in a very bad place right now and the signal today is that you can't even protest peacefully anymore except you want to commit suicide. The pain is honestly getting deeper. |
With this comment it became clear to me that something terrible has happened to this man's thinking. This is no longer the same cerebral Professor Sagay. Punch is provoked like every Nigerian (aside from those in this government) by the desecration of the judiciary by the men of DSS, not necessarily in support of Sowore, Prof Sagay is talking about PDP. Can this man be going senile already? |
It is time to call a spade a spade; what we are practicing in Nigeria is definitely not democracy. Democracy as a form of government stands on the tripod of Executive arm, Legislative arm and the judiciary arm. The three arms must be strong enough to be able to carry the somewhat heavy weight of democracy; also ably assisted by the fourth power (fourth realm of the estate - the press) and the civil society. Now that the judiciary is so weakened and the legislature has become more or less a rubber stamp, our democracy is standing only on one leg and therefore can no longer be referred to as a democracy. The electorate in a democracy must of necessity possess minimum level of enlightenment to be able to make informed choice of a leader. The electorate in Nigeria largely lack basic understanding of what democracy is about. They place very little value on their vote sometimes selling it for enough money to buy recharge card for their phones. The so called elite who should help educate the ignoramuses are not any better; The value they place on their own votes can be assessed by their attitude of never voting and non participation in the process. Since our form of government is standing only on one leg (the executive arm) and our leaders do not emerge by popular votes to describe what we have as democracy is to be living in denial. Democracy is popular no doubt and it is convenient to deceive ourselves that we are practicing democracy but it's time to come out of our shell and tell ourselves the truth and call what we are practicing its real name. Let's call a spade a spade. |
I can't believe what I'm reading on this thread! Clearly there are some hired agents on this platform who stupidly act out the script of their paymaster. How can someone that should be celebrated like a hero right now be so insulted. Someone that offered for free his service that ordinarily would have cost Sowore millions of naira, all in an effort to strengthen the rule of law is being abused on this thread by the same Nigerians that he is trying to help. Such a shallow crop of people! |
If he is 40 and you are 40, then your age will be a factor for consideration. Settling down in marriage with a 20 - 25 year old lady is different from settling down with a 40 year old. You need to tactfully find out if he still finds you as attractive as when he made his move 20 years ago. His being able to sleep on the same bed with you several times without a move is suspect. Are you still as hot as before? Will you be able to bear and raise as many children as he may want. These are issues for consideration. If you can find a way to probe and find answers to these in the affirmative, then don't hesitate to make the move. Good luck. |
If capacity means anything in our country, this is the best of the pack. It doesn't matter to me and I pray it does not matter to you whether she is a woman or whether she is Ibo. Nigeria is a terminally ill patient requiring the services of the best of the best doctor. Let's give the job to the best doctor available. In this context, Buhari can best be described as a butcher: the only surgery he performs is to kill animals; he has no clue how to safe them. In the same context, Atiku will best be described as an "auxillary nurse": Not a doctor, not a nurse but at least in the fringes of the medical profession. Better than Buhari but not what a country as sick as Nigeria needs. In the context, Obi is the doctor that can give the country its best chance of survival. I hope Nigerians will demystify the so called party structures and vote for the right candidate and upstage the greedy political godfathers. |
This election again is between Tinubu and Agbaje. If Tinubu is a sincere leader he will not be collecting heavy percentage of Lagos State revenue receipt every month. True leadership will create the system of collection under the ministry of finance without turning it into company which is what Alpha Beta is about. It is time to free Lagos from the stranglehold of Tinubu. Tinubu has been governor for 20 years, it is time to vote him out. |
I have no doubt Sir that Nigeria would have been better if you were never born. |
Prophecy or prediction, It is clear that Buhari will not come back. Almost everyone who was deceived by the toga of democrat placed on him by his handlers in 2015 knows better now. He is a man who is simply too mediocre to deal with the complex nature of Nigeria's problems. His intentions may be good but he is just at loss how to get the job done. it will be stupid of Nigerians to reward his gross incompetence as a president and a disaster as a leader with re-election. It is just common sense that the electorate should try someone else. |
Very unfortunate. The superstar in Lagos has become less than a shadow of himself. I don't understand how a hitherto cerebral person can become just another cheap sycophant. I think Fashola's failure as a minister is beginning to affect and reduce his self-worth and person. He has really depreciated. |
I honestly hate this man's posturing. Obasanjo is the disaster that befell Nigeria. This man and his sycophants like to put him up as a great Nationalist and the best thing to happen to governance since the birth of Nigeria. I beg to disagree. It is obvious that Obasanjo's love for Nigeria is fake and I can prove it. As a single parent, when you have to be away from a child you love for a substantial amount of time, do you hand that child to a guardian that is likely to maltreat the child or maybe even kill the child by omission or commission. That is exactly what Obasanjo did, not once but twice. He came back to power and was telling stories about how NNSL and Nigeria Airways were run down because of the quality of his successors. The same man who recruited Soludo, Obi Ezekwesile, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nasir El-Rufai, to name a few, could not find any better person to lead a modern Nigeria than a conservative man who was battling a deadly illness. No matter his so-called achievements as a president, if he was not smart or wise enough to give the reins of power to someone that could take Nigeria higher then he should simply go and sit down somewhere and be quiet. He has no right to be blaming anybody for a problem you can squarely trace to him. |
I honestly cannot figure how a dumb guy like this landed the job of a spokesperson. This is someone who struggles to put his thoughts to words. Knowing himself, he should not have accepted the job. The fact that you could write a good article (which could be the result of many days' effort) does not put you in the class of someone who could think fast on his feet. The commentary is a big gaff. Many people will never forget this forever. Spokesperson Adesina is a disaster. End of story. |
