I’ll go for something other than jollof rice and say akpu and onugbu. Then agidi pepper soup.

I know u think u jst made sense. But u actually very dumb. Datz the problem with idiots like u, u think its OK to run ur mouth anyhow without repercussions and I knw u will teach ur daughter dat. Men r supposed to conduct themselves in a respectable manner and be gentlemanly, but its not compulsory for women, matter of fact they can run dia mouths anyhow and it's ok. U come up with silly excuses like "she is a woman". So cos she is a woman she can behave anyhow? If its OK for women to do anyhow, why is it not OK for men to do anyhow too?
It’s more the other way round.

Local rice doesn’t work for foreign food (jollof rice, fried rice). It’s good for white rice and that’s it.

I'm really serious about this. I will fly to Equatorial Guinea in a few years for a personal tour myself to meet this wonderful set of people and raise awareness about their existence to our brothers in Nigeria. They must not be forgotten.
I’ve always admired your passion b. Doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all.
Culture › Re: Igbos Of Bioko, Equatorial Guinea - A Forgotten Minority Tribe by Probz(m): 7:25pm On Oct 14, 2017
bigfrancis21:
Yes, all those can be done. In addition, their language or whatever that is left of it needs to be preserved. I guess we need linguistic study of the language to compare how it is similar to or different from the Igbo dialects spoken in Nigeria.

It is interesting to see how a language or dialect evolves or changes over time when secluded from its main speakers.
That’s right Frankie. God knows if it’s still an official Igbo lect or if it’s to us now what Igala is to Yoruba (after centuries of isolation). Even in Nigeria certain dialects have more proto-Igbo features than others.

F*ck knows if Abakaliki’s more proto-Igbo. Their language genuinely sounds like Somali to me.

Yea, I'm aware. Some places also say bia kaa. Ikwerre would say bia paa.

However, the main point now is strengthening our ties between the homeland and those in Bioko. How can we go about it?
Widespread enlightenment’s always a good place to start. I knew because I’ve read about these things but how many Igbo people in Nigeria know about our population being spread further than Cameroon, hm? It’s nowhere near common knowledge yet.
Culture › Re: Igbos Of Bioko, Equatorial Guinea - A Forgotten Minority Tribe by Probz(m): 7:13pm On Oct 14, 2017
bigfrancis21:
As regards the language, Igbo is a recognized official language in Equatorial Guinea and it has been confirmed that the people still speak the Igbo language which has some form of deviation from the modern Igbo spoken in Nigeria. Some people who have seen them say they say, 'bia ikaa' for 'come here'. Anybody who has been in contact with these people as regards the language?

Finally I think that Igbos of Nigeria do need to reach out to our people in Bioko to re-strengthen our ties and the language.

Tolotolo fried in piping hot groundnut oil wins any day for me. No meat brings out the taste of J rice more than turkey for me.

Politics › Re: Kenneth Ugochukwu Asks Court To Arrest, Repatriate Nnamdi Kanu From UK by Probz(m): 6:04pm On Oct 11, 2017
CeterisXVII:
Sir, this dummy will not fly. In fact the person flying this kite, has just shot himself in the rear, by doing this. Let me explain. If Kanu was able to find his way into the British embassy in Benin Republic or Cameroun, as a British citizen he may ask for help on medical grounds or whateva humanitarian grounds, he can think of. The embassy has an obligation to help its' citizens in need. All they need to do, is give him a temporary travel document with which he can travel to the UK. Once he gets abroad, he can start processing another passport through the Home Office, under the guise that his passport went missing, or was stolen, or whateva. I have seen it happen before... live! grin

Secondly, British embassy officials cannot be summoned to answer any case in Nigerian courts in respect of Kanu, due to the diplomatic immunity they have. They can provide answers to the foreign affairs ministry, who would then tender their documented 'official' position, responses or written letters in court.

Thirdly, the level of British commercial interests or trade in Nigeria is worth millions of dollars. Trade between Nigeria and UK is expected to reach $4.5 billion dollars post-Brexit period. Do you think Britain would risk the value of these investments for Kanu, who has Nigerian ancestry (and not even British one, o!) even though he simply carries their passport? huh Think again.

Would Britain jeopardise that volume of trade and antagonise the Nigerian govt, in favour of Kanu? I think not! He is not a member of their royal family, secret service, armed forces or government, o! His group has also been branded a terrorist group by the Nigerian govt, and Britain has strong anti-terrorism laws and regulations in place now, especially with the recent occurrences in Britain!

Finally, Kanu's brother has just tightened the noose around Abaribe's neck. If the Federal govt gets a good lawyer, they will turn the case around and compel Abaribe to produce Kanu. Failure to do so, will lead to a drama that will not be easily forgotten. Kanu's brother and lawyer are doing all these to pre-empt the October 17th case. We are all waiting and watching to see how this drama plays out.
You couldn’t be any more laudate if you tried.

Gruesome pictures are easily posted online this days and I feel it's not cool especially when the picture is not absolutely necessary.

I remember back then if pictures like this show up I could barely take the image out of my head but now I just view and scroll down.

Let Admins try to reduce or blur out graphic images. These images are not absolutely necessary in this kind of news.

Just my view.

The predominant characteristics of the people are a good indicator of their soul age. Nigeria is a good mix of baby and young souls especially.
Baby souls especially. You could say it’s a pity but then maybe we can’t fight a natura stage in our development.
