Originalsly: Hmmm....16 foot snake getting in the ventilation system and working his way upstairs...breaks out the system and drops to the floor from the ceiling,...100 lb snake dropping from the ceiling and the boys still sleeping...snake strangles both of them at the same time but not swallowing...squeeze them to death then slithers off into a hole in the house...16 ft snake in a hole in the house...then the pet guy alone captures this snake that is so dangerous...and just killed the two kids for the hell of it. Wow!...I can't believe people believe this stuff! It's actually true...but i'm still finding it strange even after watching it on national tv news..! |
TV/Movies › Re: What Makes 3D Movies So Special by prof800(m): 6:47am On Aug 06, 2013 |
There is nothing special in 3D movies period..! And don't ask the question again.!
nollywood yoruba version have joined in the craze...they have release some new movies recently in 3D. The troubling thing is that these people think shooting a 'good film' is all about 3D. But their movies still have poor storyline and scripting, sloppy acting and unbelievable effects.
I watched an interview with a Yoruba actress lastnite who just shot a movie in 3D - she was clamouring for everyone in the industry to switch to 3D. Said it would cub piracy and I just began to laff. |

nijanigga: Be careful of fish polluted with mercury very harmful. The best that can lower high blood pressure is BEET ROOT. Beet Root..? Beet Root is high in Sugar Content which might cause 'Diabetic complications' to your hypertensive patients. In folklore medicine, Beet root extract could be mixed with stem-bark of mango or anacardium occidentale. In order to reduce the effect of the Sugar. Because they produce special phytochemicals which inhibit alpha-amylase and alpha-glucosidase, thereby, serving as a remedy for the diabetic complications that may arise. |
TV/Movies › Re: I Need Opinions On This Script. by prof800(m): 2:19am On Jul 21, 2013 |
^^^^^ Yes, the script is okay as a 'STAGEPLAY'. Did you use finaldraft to write this.?
OK. Along the line, I saw something like "an awkward pause". I think you might want to change that. (depends on you tho). 'awkward pause, awkward silence, awkward moment' are all being 'overused' so Playwrights usually try to avoid them. Just like Screenwriters avoid 'a wry smile', 'wryly' etc. You want to make your work unique.
TWO. In the 'last fight', three Policemen entered the stage, but only one of them was 'functionally visible'. This may not be noticed in the script but when it comes on stage, one can notice a 'floppy acting' caused by passivity of the other characters. So you might want to do something about the other two Policemen.
THREE. You might want to change the character name, INSPECTOR #1 to INSPECTOR ANTHONY. He is the only inspector speaking. He is NOT a 'waka-pass' but an active character. Moreso, characters like to be given definitive names rather than #1, #2 etc.
You'll hear the rest from our big big Ogas here.
I wish you goodluck in the competition. |

sholay2011: OP...your first line got me laffin.. 'Everybody is so hot and speaks in a foreign accent..' lolz.
IMO, it is a good soap. My reason is that we do films about our cultural history by projecting into the past, do movies about the present by reflecting on our societal problems like domestic abuse, crime, drug abuse etc and so, I see TINSEL as a story set in the future Nigeria where speaking 'toosh' english won't be the thing of a set of ppl alone.
I also see the soap as a break from all the problems that have pledged my surrounding into a fantasy world of africans bothering on secondary issues like power, greed and betrayal and not food, clothing, security, electricity...and food again
I am not an ardent fan, but TINSEL is far from 'absolute rubbish'. +1 like sholay2011: OP...your first line got me laffin.. 'Everybody is so hot and speaks in a foreign accent..' lolz.
