I think I find it interesting and challenging though sometimes I got fed up and tired but nothing good comes easy especially if you really want to take this career to the next level. It is not easy to be a professional programmer.. it involves a lot of resources.
I'm going to stay glue with Kotlin alone
It is of no important learning all language I rather stick with one and be the best programmer at it. That's is my philosophy.

Africanamania:
1cor5v10, please someone should explain it to Christians in a simple language.

You must start from chapter 3 preferable to better understand 2 Cor 5:10. When you take a verse out of context you kill the meaning of that verse. So before I explain 2 Cor 5:10 let us start with 1 Cor 3:11-15

11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

The summary first of that 1 Cor 3:11-15 is that Christ is the foundation. Without him we are lost. And then Paul by the spirit go on to explain that every man's work shall be tried with fire. Remember Paul was writing to the Corinthian church

Take note of some basic biblical truths.

There is a judgement for believers not for condemnation but this is strictly on the basis of rewards. It is what the scripture calls the judgement seat of Christ.

There is the judgement for unbelievers called the great white throne judgment. Rev 20:11-15. This judgemnt is a no escape judgement.

Take note the scripture talks about BOOKS and another book called the BOOK OF LIFE. Those whose names are not in the book of life are judged according to their works contained in the books which we know can never attain to God's standard of righteousness.

So what is 2 Cor 5:10 saying that believers have work to do after being saved. This work is on the basis of rewards and not to earn salvation.

Salvation is faith in Christ and his finished works.
God bless you

All the sins Toks2008 mentioned are habitual sins except masturbation, I'm strongly against that sin, masturbation is not a small sin, its not a habitual sin, its a sin that kills faster than fornication, as I am now I am watchful not to fall into masturbation but I am not watchful for fornication that way, a very deadly sin. That is what I am trying to tell OP, he shouldn't count masturbation as a small habitual sin you can overlook, its a full blown sin.

That is the problem, we emphasize some so called sins as if the wages is not the same.

Change your mindset about your view of what sin is. That is the basis of salvation. Repentance is a greek word metaneo which actually means a change of mind. A change of mind and perception about our need for a saviour. How that even the smallest of sins as the thoughts of the heart is guilty of death.

A thorough understanding of what sin really is what has humbled me in my walk with God. To know that IF NOT FOR GOD. I end there.

For the wages of SIN is death, but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ.

What you should be more interested in is the remedy.

We cannot continue in sin and expect grace to abound. Roman 6:1

The problem is that we have redefined sin, we look too low at God's standard and that is where the problem lies.

If you understand the concept of sin you would understand why Christ hath to come. We limit sin to certain behaviours and think that is sin. Sin permeates the very essence, nature and genetics of man.

Sin is first a nature before an act. The very motives and intents of man.

A better understanding of what sin is will make you better appreciate Christ's death and resurrection.

The scripture talks about the Holy Spirit reproving the world of SIN. Take note. There is what is called the SIN (singular) of the world and not sins of the world. Go do a research. There is the SIN of the world. I would love to have a bible discussion with you if you don't mind.

God bless you.
Religion / Re: Habits, Sins And the Amazing Grace of GOD. by ProfChris10(m): 7:01am On Jan 04, 2021
The major mistake many people are making is to think they can bribe their way into heaven by good conducts.

Am i saying good conducts is bad or not needed? Of course not. Scriptures makes us understand that even the good conducts of man is as a filthy rag. It falls short of the righteousness that God demands. So what then must be done?

First, the scripture concluded everyone under sin, and revealed man's desperate need for salvation.

The Bible teaches that sin existed in the soul of man before he was aware of it, and that the Law simply makes man conscious of sin which already dwells in him (Romans 7:7-14).

*Men are guilty first of all because of what they are "sinners" and only secondarily because of what they do "sin".

Galatians 2:21, KJV: "I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness comes by the law, then Christ is dead in vain."

This was why Christ hath to come, otherwise the laws were there to keep. He needed not have come. Just obey all the laws and if you keep them perfectly then you are good to go. But then no man could.

For if any man offend in one law, he is guilty of all. Wow. What an unattainable position. Glory to God that Christ came.

This is the gospel delievered to the apostles that faith should be placed in Christ Jesus. Just as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness that everyone who looked to it got saved from those snake bites, so is the son of man lifted up that everyone who looks to him is saved.

But No, many say that is not enough. How surprising it will be on that day for many whose trust is in their righteousness that could never attain to what God demands.

Paul laid to rest in Romans 10:2-4

2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

3 For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

4 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Many people have established their own righteousness and have refused to submit to the righteousness of God.

No doubt, that is man's pride in action. To think that you have nothing to bring to the table rather than your faith, which itself is a gift from God as the scripture revealed. So what did we even bring, when even the faith was God's gift itself.

Unless we humble ourselves and agree with God that we could never have attained salvation by ourselves, that was why Paul said, it is of grace, otherwise many will boast on that day that they made it there by their many efforts.

Scriptures makes us understand that by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (gal 2:16).

Summary: Salvation is an act of God. That is why Jesus is called the author and finisher of faith. God saw the sinner, choose him, bought him, justified him, renews him, keeps him and finally will glorify him. There is no loss of sequence. (Rom 8:30, Eph 1:13-14). What we do to get it is faith in the finished works of Christ. This faith can in turn produce a change of attitude and behaviour.

For the just shall live by faith.

Salvation comes first and then we are told to live our life as the new creature that we are, and not that we try to live to earn salvation.

We live right because of who we are and not necessarily for what we are trying to be.
That was the summary of most of the epistles.

God bless you.

He is saying the truth basically

The only Truth stated clearly in the bible is that;

The righteousness of man is as a filthy rag, not enough to earn man eternal life. It was why Jesus came to offer man what he could never get. That was Christ's righteousness. This was the gospel delivered to the apostles.

The deception is thinking that you can attain righteousness by not wearing trousers, make ups, etc. That is the biggest lie and is never in the scriptures.

In summary: Salvation is faith in the finished works of Christ.

As simple as this sounds not many truly trust Christ Jesus for their salvation just like this man is saying up there. Imagine!

Please let's go do some personal bible study ourselves. God bless you.

This has been my greatest fear for people whose trust is in their righteousness. Lean on Christ and let him help you.

This is one major problem I have with so called Christians who have refused to study their bibles. This is what I call another gospel. The Gospel that Jesus delievered to the apostles was not to tell people that wearing trousers or not will take anyone to hell, the message was to proclaim Jesus Christ as the only way to obtaining eternal life.

If God was to judge this man's works and motives will he survive the judgement? Intead of preaching Jesus Christ many have gone about establishing other gospels. I am not surprised though.

it will be so painful how self righteousness will be the undoing of many.

The problem with these times is that men have set a standard for God and his judgement. It was one reason I started studying scriptures for myself and with the help of the Holy Spirit. It will shock many so called religious folks how they think by their own righteousness they can be justified. Self righteousness will be the undoing of many. I pray that God will open our eyes to the subtle deception of spiritual pride. Today many fight the truth as the lie and lies have become truth. But God's word standeth sure. The aim of these is to remove people's minds from Christ and make them focus on their self works.

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes. For the just shall live by faith.

Sports / Cristiano Ronaldo’s Off-the-ball Movement Is The Best In The World by ProfChris10(m): 6:16am On Nov 05, 2020
A video analysing Cristiano Ronaldo's off-the-ball movement has been shared, showing how the Juventus forward is a genius at finding space inside the box.
All this despite Ronaldo being one of the most high-profile, and most closely man-marked, players in world football.

This ultimate breakdown video was tweeted with the provocative title: '"Ronaldo doesn't get marked like Messi" - Correct. His off-the-ball movement is too good. It's impossible.'

https://twitter.com/i/status/1323313058043756544

Putting aside the age-old Leo Messi vs CR7 debate, this highlight package is full of exceptional examples of Ronaldo's cunning, as his movement gets the better of elite-level defenders.

Ronaldo's anticipation of where a cross or pass will land is clearly unbelievable. But it's the Portuguese No 7's split-second in-game intelligence that really stands out.

Rather than relying on raw pace, Ronaldo will zigzag his runs, burst through defensive lines just at the moment a team steps up, or make sudden movements away from defenders to create space. It all explains why his runs are so deadly, even at age 35 when he should be slowing down.

Thomas Muller is usually given the label of football's ultimate 'space invader' - but it seems Ronaldo is just as clever at finding room on a football pitch. Especially when it comes to crowded penalty areas.

Ronaldo gave an ideal example of his ability to make the perfect run at the right time last weekend, when he returned from his absence due to coronavirus. Juventus were 1-1 with Spezia when their record signing came off the bench in the 56th minute and - just three minutes later - he was splitting the opposition central defenders wide open with a run, then scoring.
The Serie A match finished 4-1 with Ronaldo also adding a Panenka-style penalty. Of course he did.

It's clear that even a month without club football, or even training with his team, hasn't robbed Ronaldo of what makes him special.
Because for all the attention played to his physical attributes, the world-class intelligence behind his off-the-ball movement is a crucial part of what make Ronaldo one of the all-time greats.

That salvation is found in Christ alone does not mean knowing and accepting Christ is the end. It is just a tip of the iceberg. If u teach men only the gospel, u will end up with "Christians" that are sinners - like we see in our churches today. Many people cannot differentiate good from evil. That is why they dress half naked, sing immoral songs, crack dirty jokes and still see themselves as Christians. Emphasizing sin is still important in this generation. Don't preach Christ and ignore their sins. John the baptist, Jesus and his apostles constantly told sinners to repent and believe the gospel.
.
Read the post again and see the error he is promoting:
https://www.nairaland.com/post/89908136
.
We live in a world where lesbianism, homosexualism, abortion etc are regarded as good. And some body is saying we shud ignore sin and just preach Christ. Error!!!!

Emphasizing sins does not change men. Don't you get it?. Some might pretend but inwardly they are not transformed. I have been there before. Men are transformed by the Holy Spirit. Did you not hear Jesus saying that no man can come to him except the father draws him? I have seen the gospel change men, not by telling men how wicked they are. Men have broke down in tears in true repentance on hearing how much God loves them. It is love that can transform even the hardest of hearts.

That was great error and false teaching. See my post above.

Error that salvation is found in Christ alone? I don't get. I can't really go deep here now. Currently the truth is seen as error, while error is truth. It is well. But one thing I have come to understand is that God almighty is the author and finisher of faith. He does the knowing, the calling, the justification, and finally the glorification. Nothing takes God by surprise. What men should be thought is the gospel, the good news of what Christ has done. It is this sound knowlege that leads men to repentance.

The problem is our understanding of what sin is. We limit sin to some certain immoralities and by so doing lower the standard of God which can subtly lead to spiritual pride that one can attain righteousness by obeying certain rules.
That was why Paul said that if righteousness comes by the law then Christ was dead in vain.

If we look closely at God's standard then we are humbled and appreciate how much Christ accomplished on the cross. It is this knowledge that builds men in true fellowhip and worship, not pretense.

Op I wish and pray that you would point people to the cross, so they can see that Jesus bore all their sins and that God is no longer angry with them but is calling them home. The whole world is tired and hopeless with this "self consciousness" gospel which is another gospel.

You may have good intentions but you are heavily misrepresenting God and making Him appear unholy and unjust. If a man owed you N5000 and his brother pays you on his behalf(even much more than he owed) and you go back to charge him for same money his brother has paid won't you be referred to as wicked and evil? or a thief? You do not realise that that is what you are ignorantly ascribing to God.

Jesus Christ bore the punishment for all our sins. Not one sin was left unpaid on that cross. We were debtors but one paid all our debts once and for all, not only that he earned so many benefits for us. The only reason people are perishing is because they really have no idea who Jesus Christ is and what He did on the cross. Many in this group are still trusting their moral abilities and their works and thereby unknowingly treating the full payment for sins by Christ as not enough or a common thing. A slap to God's Spirit of grace.

How did the church go from presenting to the world the graciousness and kindness of God through Jesus Christ to telling people they have to stop sinning to please God? Don't we know that is the goodness of God that leads one to repentance?

What made the prodigal son return to his father. His Father's goodness or wrath?

Only the gospel can turn the most rebellious person back to God.

The church must stop preaching from a natural human point of view of "doing good and then getting good",we must preach from God's view of " not doing good but getting good from God because one person has done good on your behalf" overtime this grace would transform one from the inside out.

God bless you. I am glad there are still many who understands what the gospel actuall is. Only Jesus must be exalted, not self.

All the boys and girls have all gone into Yahoo businesses especially Upper and Ugbowo people in Benin, no one wants to learn a skill nor go to school gain. they've all resolved to joining the cyber crime business.

Should SARS go, the government is indirectly legalizing cyber crime and armed robbery in Nigeria. The intelligent ones know this

Yes SARS should be reformed and not abolished totally.
Anyone who supports the removal of this body is either a cyber criminal or indirectly benefitting from it.

I've been harrasedby SARS before but nothing happened afterwards. What should be done instead is to bring those who perpetrated incessant killings of the innocent ones to book. You dont throw the bath water and the baby together.

So before you support this endsars cause, think very well on the aftermath. We should call for reformation of SARS not ending it

Cyber crimes are fought with computers not guns. I thought that was the work of the EFCC. When did SARS start fighting cyber crime?. They are Special Anti-Robbery Squad. Track cyber criminals down with the needed technology. I don't support cyber crime, but there are bad elements in Sars who care about their pockets at even the expense of some innocent lives.

I thought you were intelligent. You just proved me wrong. Do you know the gravity of that statement she made? She is implying her father molested her and probably if she is married her husband do same and so because of a few cases she has the audacity to issue such generalization as to include one's father. Then men should not marry because we have seen what some women do. With such mindset I doubt if you will ever last in any relationship. It is so painful how the minds of many are corrupted which is not tied to any gender. Women too have done worse things. So it is not about a father or mother issue, it is about morality and about humanity. Please work on your reasoning, no offence intended.

Multiplier effect of corruption
1. A young man works for one of the state ministries. His salary is 120K. He makes 15,000 everyday on this desk (N75k a week) engaging in corrupt practices. As a result, he spends the daily cash as he cares. Living large and far above his legitimate income.
2. He visits the local joint every evening and buys drinks for friends, and area boys. They hail him. He is married, but has two girlfriends. His "income" is enough to take care of them. The Asun seller at his favorite joint is happy, the joint owner is happy.
3. Everyone was benefiting from his "income". Friends, family, area boys, joint owner, Asun seller, girlfriends, wife and his church. Life was good.
4. Then suddenly the ministry implemented the Treasury Single Account (TSA) at the beginning of PMB administration. His extra "income" disappeared and he had to adjust to the reality of event and live within his real income. That wasn't easy.
5. Initially he reduced his daily visit to the joint to 3 days a week and stopped buying drinks for everyone. He reduced the plates of Asun. The Asun seller started to find it hard to sell a full goat each day and resorted to buying half.
6. The young man's girlfriends started to feel the heat too. No more iPhone 10. The joint owner noticed a drop in sales. The young man finally stopped visiting the joint after a month. The area boys started feeling his absence. The effect cascaded down.
7. The young man started spending more time at home with his wife and kids. The family had to readjust to the reality of the new normal. His hair stylist noticed the young man suddenly stopped tipping. He will even wait for his N200 change after haircut.
8. Things are different. Times are hard, they all cry. The young man is blaming Buhari, his wife is blaming Buhari, the area boys are blaming Buhari, the girlfriends are saying Buhari must go, the joint owner is saying Buhari killed the "economy"
9. The Asun seller is cursing Buhari, the hair stylist is insisting Buhari is too old to rule. This is the story of our nation where corruption fuels the "economy". Those who are not engaging in it are benefiting from it.
10. This tread is not about Buhari's achievement or failure, but rather about the "multiplier" effect of corruption and how we have built a system largely driven by corruption. It's about policy implication (good or bad). It's about the choices we have made.
Finally, the young man had to withdraw his kids from what he called expensive primary school his kids attend. He added:"what are they teaching them there sef " Obasanjo didn't go to a private school. I just laughed .

To be honest, this is a very weak analysis. Come on, you are more intelligent than this. Dig deep. Is this Economics?
