Hi fridpalor, I remember you had ur biometrics on the 15th of May, 2019.. i had mine on the 20th of May, 2019.,, i guess you will be my destiny tracker for this settlement visa.. I sent my docs to Sheffield on the 30th of May, 2019 and it got signed and received at Sheffied via Royal Mail on the 31st of May, 2019. The only mail i have gotten after sending in docs was on the 6th of June, 2019 which stated something like this: Thank you for your online application which has been received at the UK Decision Making Centre. Your application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer.
PLEASE NOTE: This email is to acknowledge receipt of your Settlement application, if you or your UK sponsor have not already submitted your supporting documentation please ensure you follow the process listed below: UKVI is unable to consider your application without these documents.
Applicants from TLS locations may still send their supporting documents to the following address until further notice (they should include a suitably sized self-addressed envelope with appropriate postage for return of the documents):
Sheffield Visa Section PO Box 3468 Sheffield S3 8WA
Have you gotten this mail? Have you gotten any acknowledgement on ur docs sent to Sheffield? What date did u send ur docs to Sheffield? Thanks for anticipated responses. @ALL... please u can add ur comments oooo.. thanks .. profemebee: I got an email about being registered on their TLS website and told to even change password via a link, which isnt even working...
I hear everyone sends via Royal Mail Special Delivery.. the docs will definitely be more than 2kg.. i doubt anyone's docs here will be less than 2kg tbh.. Are you saying Royal Mail doesn't send packages above 2kg?
For the common wealth question, i think i will go for the cover letter route..
Thanks for the support. |

hi Justwise.. Looks like i forgot to photocopy my UK NARIC statements for ENGLISH LANGUAGE EVIDENCE... sighhhhh.. They're original docs.. I'm sad cos they don't come cheap, and i heard one advantage UK NARIC has over IELTS is that it doesn't expire in 2years like IELTS.. so its better to provide that for the visa extension in 2.5years time.. is that true? I pray they return it with original docs Or i can re-order another statement for a cheaper cost with same application nos.. What do y'all think tho? justwise: Yes I think the tracking function is gone
Sadly when you send documents to Sheffield sometimes you will not get an acknowledgement for weeks, so don't worry yourself about that just make sure you sent it to the right address and use special delivery.
I suggest you write the GWF number on the envelope and write the full details on the first page of the package..e.g. GWF number and name of the applicant
Put the passports in a separate envelope and mark it then add it to the bigger package. |

I didn't add her payslip and bank statement for her May salary in the supporting docs cos it is after we submitted online application.. she gets paid on the 20th of every month.. abeg i dont want any baton dropped.. hehe Lexusgs430: Failing that very important 28 day rule, would be a very costly mistake......
All other documents could be 100%, but at the final relay lap, the baton would be dropped......... |

Hello boss.. It seems there is no more tracking of decision making in the TLS contact website... An account was opened for me on the day of biometrics, but I still can't sign in nor activate online by choosing a password. Should I be worried? How will I track updates when I send docs to Sheffield and my time starts counting? I also didn't get any emails from UKVI.. just emails from TLS on the day of biometrics that they've sent my visa application to the decision making centre for processing Also, do i need to write my GWF number on the front page of the online application letter? do i need to write my full names and sign behind the passport pictures? am i attaching it to the front page of the online form where there is a space for passport picture or i just add the passport pictures in the royal mail envelope? I'm sorry for all my questions but the fact is that this process is tedious.. Thanks for anticipated response. justwise: It will definitely not harm your chances of getting the visa |

Thanks for the update... no it isn't late.. submitting thursday max.. I assume you're the sponsor in this case? the British citizen yeah.. so its same scenario with u having dual citizenship.. ahhhhh @verifying stamped passport pages were genuine.. nawa.. I will go for cover pages and plastic sleeves separating each section inside the royal mail boxed special delivery.. Kenttoday: I hope this isn't coning late.
For my wedding, I used my Nigerian passport to enter and exit Nigeria, so I printed out boarding pass and copied my Nigeria stamped passport pages and had the post office verify that it was genuine..
Our documents were large so I arranged them in the right order with cover pages and plastic sleeve separating each sections. Didnt bind or staple any thing
Though the documents was more than 2 kg, I still sent through royal mail boxed special delivery |

Sir Lex.. Oga Justwise and my able wise ones Please i have a question.. want to send my docs to Sheffield on thursday, the 30th of May, 2019... However, i need to confirm something.. My wife (sponsor) used her Nigerian passport to fly down here in oct2018 for our wedding so her green passport has the entry/exit stamp. Her British passport has other entry/exit stamps of trips we've been to.. Is it okay to show the entry/exit stamp on her Nigerian passport as part of supporting docs to show she came to naija for the wedding? NOTE: The online form already asked if she has dual nationality, and i replied Yes to that.. Thanks for anticipated response Lexusgs430: Old passports not required.
Print form when you have fully completed all process
Refusal letter not required, just honestly answer questions in appropriate section
Your passport would be collected during biometric interview..... Also have the biometric copy of sponsors passport. |

hi.. please how did you send ur supporting docs to sheffield tho? Any need for binders? folders? or i just put them together with a clip? Thanks for anticipated response... fridpalor: Congrats on the Biometrics, and best wishes
No the link provided in the email did not work for me either.
They registered the profile for you? Hmmm... I didn't get any profile registered... was this on their TLS website?
You can send documents to your partner in UK via DHL or any other means. However it is advised that your partner sends all the supporting documents to UKVI sheffield via Royal Mail Special Delivery (however if the docs weigh over 2kg, it then gets sent via ParcelForce. Unfortunately ParcelForce does not deliver to P.O.Box addresses (as they require a signature), so this can add further delays). Alternatively using DHL may be preferred, but may be more expensive.
I don't think not identifying South Africa as a commonwealth nation is a critical mistake. Did you state that you had visited there under "HAVE YOU EVER TRAVELLED OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY OF RESIDENCE, EXCLUDING THE UK, IN THE LAST 10 YEARS?" section. If yes, I think that should be sufficient; however to have full peace of mind, you may wish to send a letter or add it in additional info in Appendix 2 4VAF clarifying the oversight.
Others can please advise too. |

wow .. wow... wow.. that will certainly hurt.. .missing out on priority service due to such late response... and not because you have been denied visit visa/don't have the money.. Lets just stay positive though.. Also, please what Sheffield address were you told to send the docs to? UK Visas and Immigration, International PO Box 3468 Sheffield United Kingdom S3 8WA ? Were you interviewed? fridpalor: Hi...
The Biometrics was done yesterday, without being able to make the priority payment.
All that was required was the valid Nigerian passport. All other documents would be sent directly to Sheffield with the supporting documents.
However, I just received a response to my TLS enquiry about the Priority Service shown below:
Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your email. Please note that this process is only for customers who applied through Visa4uk, and who wish to purchase Super Priority, Priority or Priority Settlement visas. It is not available for any other of our other optional Value Added Services. We only accept payment in Euro or in GBP. The bank details to pay are as follows:
Account name: Teleperformance Ltd UK VI PAYMENT AC Bank name: HSBC UK Bank PLC BIC: HBUKGB4B IBAN: GB75HBUK40127674632507 Sort code = 401276 Acc no = 74632507
Please not that it will take up to three working days to verify your bank transfer, and we therefore advise that your appointment is booked after this timeframe. We invite you to check our Terms and conditions of sale for further information. Best Regards, TLScontact Team
I do not know why this information was not made readily available ab initio, or placed on their website. Why would one need to email them and wait endlessly to get this information... this is quite baffling. Unfortunately, it seems I have missed out on the priority service.
Well, I do hope someone else might find this experience and information useful, and be able to use the priority service accordingly. |

I clicked on REGISTER AT COMMERCIAL PARTNER, and it took me to the TLSContact website... however as you've stated there is no option of registering or logging in. That section also remains black for me.

Hi.. I also didn't see the priority service. Also, please what did you do with REGISTER AT COMMERCIAL PARTNER section of the online application that happens just before one prints? I cant find a way to register on TLSContact when i click on the REGISTER AT COMMERCIAL PARTNER tab... so the section remains black not green. How did you do this please? Goodluck with tomorrow if you go ahead.. I doubt you can pay for priority after biometrics.. fridpalor: Please can anyone advise on how to make "priority service payment" for Family Settlement/ UK spouse visa?
My biometric appointment is tomorrow, and I am still unable to make priority service payment. I have sent an email to the address stated on the website but I haven't received a response. I went to the TLS office in VI and was guided to call the UKVI number (00442034811736... at the exorbitant rate of £1.37/min), however I was told that it is the TLS office in VI that should organise the priority service.
(1) Please has anyone been able to pay for the priority service recently? How was it done? (2) Also, would I still be able to pay for the service after the biometric, and attach the receipt in my supporting documents? Or should I cancel my tomorrow appointment until I am able to resolve this issue?
Please any comments and advice are highly welcome.
Many thanks!
The TLSContact website says
Purchase Added Value Services (if the payment method is only available online for the service you wish to use, please email to priorityservices-region1@tlscontact.com) specifying your GWF reference number, name and surname, and the location where you are submitting your visa application for further guidance on the alternative payment mode. Please note that we can only accept payment in GBP or EUR, and that this alternative payment process for online Added Value Services will take 3 working days for the payment to clear. |

Hello Everyone,
Please quick questions..i intend to submit the online application next week Friday, the 10th of May 2019.
1. Will my current (and old) passports be collected from me on the day of Biometrics or i will send all to my wife (sponsor) who will then send to Sheffield?
2. At what point am i to print out the online form? Can i print the online form just before i click "Confirm Application" to submit? As i will need the copies at Biometrics and the docs to be sent to Sheffield.
3. Please can i add my UK visa refusal letter as part of documents to send to Sheffield or is the explanation done in the online application where it is asked enough? Or i explain some more in the additional notes provided at the back of the VAF 2A document?
4. Do I need to add my wife's (sponsor) old British passports too? Or just the current British passport?.. I believe it is my wife's scanned passport data page i'm submitting..
5. Please find attached for a page in the online application form.. Is this for me to fill my wife's details? It is a bit confusing..

My wife's original Tenancy Agreement (with both her signature and that of her landlords') is with the landlord, while a copy which has only the landlord's signature is with her (my wife). We tried to get the hard copy from the landlord so we could add it to the supporting documents with both tenant's and landlord's signature in it, but the landlord is stating he can't release the original hard copy, and can only scan and send to us.
Will scanned copies be allowed for tenancy agreement with both signatures? or we should manage with the hard copy she has that has just the landlord's signature? |
